This course has a lot of variety. The fairways are wide, fairly straight and forgiving. Some are up to 500+ yards others are less than 150 yards but fraught with water hazards. The greens are large with a moderate to slow roll. The sand traps are the typical low banks in and higher banks out. However, they're filled with a course sand that absorbs water making it easier to get out of there after a rain or watering. The water hazards can be wide but forgiving for those that don't get much altitude to their drives. The low edges allowed me to take advantage of a lucky skip across to the other side. Atmosphere: Good But the surrounding noises emanating from the pool, baseball fields and barracks makes it far less serene than the other miltary courses at Oceana or Sewells Point. Clubhouse: probably of the best of the military bases in the area. It's good sized, well kept has a clean locker room and great pro-shop. The restaurant is just OK but serves a decent breakfast and lunch for a fair price. Overall it's a nice course at a good price but it's step (or in this case a star down) from the other military courses, 3 Stars. PS: If you're not a service member or veteran find a friend to take you...BUT if you do that be kind enough to pick up the cost for the game or donate to a charity supporting the troops.

Food I ordered a Caesar salad with a crab cake on top, a side of fries and a glass of Riesling. My team ordered various items, and from my POV, everyone was happy with what they selected. Service The server tending to our room was very nice and polite as he attempted to serve us while we were still having our meeting. He wasn't quiet and attentive to each persons order. Ambiance We had a 2024 Planning Meeting for work, and had lunch midway through. We had a private room, and were only interrupted for lunchtime. The room was spacious and bright over looking the marina.

This type of behavior in a work setting is very inappropriate and should be dealt with properly. Complaints have been made to the management several of times, but they have been met with little to no effort in resolving this matter. Said individuals continue to provoke her after complaints have been made and nothing has been done. The hiring management needs to be looked into and reevaluated. This behavior from other staff members is unacceptable. My purpose in writing this is to express my concern for the other woman that work here and have experienced the same issues with a few members of the male staff.

I wanted to sit outside on their patio to reflect, watching the players coming in, and enjoying a cold IPA. This day was a bit chilly and couldn't stay out there long however, the time I did have was lovely reminding me of how cool of a club house it is on top of a wonderful golf course I really enjoyed playing. Pound for Pound (without being able to play on private courses), this one is probably my favorite to play in the area. I do feel the clubhouse is a bit outdated but it does capture the essence of a true "golfclub" vibe you would expect from a traditional club. You clearly see the local members enjoying their time for lunch or turning the nine. I have tried a few items as far as food and wouldn't say it's amazing. it does the trick for fuel but nothing over the top. Haven't tried dinner so I can't speak on that but they do have a full bar. Of course it is on the pricy side as usual for clubhouses but it wasn't terrible. The pro shop did have a goof feel to it and layout with lots of items you could purchase. Overall, I love the golf course and facility that is kept in good shape however I do feel the clubhouse and vibe, although traditional in nature, could use a little "sprucing up" as it does feel dated but... a lot of times, that is what traditional golfers want to remember and not change up. If you like that vibe with the wood lockers, dark green, traditional vibe, this place is perfect. As far as the golf course, condition, and layout, this is a must try course if you haven't. Prices are much more reasonable after a certain time but witih all courses and prices, you are going to pay no matter where you go unfortunatley. Very enjoyable place you would probably keep on your radar for play if you can afford it.

The course is challenging enough to keep you on your toes but not too intimidating for a new golfer. The pro shop is awesome, better than any I've been to around here, the staff is super helpful, and you can also do pretty much everything online (which is standard). The grill is great too. Plenty of food and drink options and extremely reasonably priced. Definitely recommend playing at least once!

While I enjoyed the music and the energy from the Streetz 87.7 host once the event began, several aspects of the evening were disappointing. The event was advertised with a 6:00 p.m. door time and the advance ticket price was $30 on Eventbrite. However, when I arrived around 6:30/6:40 p.m., the staff seemed uninformed, and the venue was still being set up. One of the radio host told me at 7:00 p.m. that I was "early," despite the advertised start time on both the flyer and Eventbrite. The event did not actually begin until 8:30 p.m. Furthermore, although the event was marketed as "30 & Up," the venue remained open to the general public, including children and younger guests. It was frustrating to pay for an event that started over two hours late and was not exclusive as advertised. Additionally, the bar service was slow; it took 15 minutes for a waitress to greet my friend and me. One of my biggest pet peeves is the lack of clear pricing listed on a menu. While their food menu listed prices, the drink pricing was a mystery. The waitress also charged us automatic gratuity, stating they do that for large parties and events. When I questioned this, the server claimed the policy was on their website; however, I have been unable to find any mention of automatic gratuity for attending paid events online. Given these inconsistencies and the lack of organization, I do not feel this should have been a paid event. This experience has left me hesitant to return to Hacker in the future.

In all over a dozen positive experiences. I am not a member of this club, so I cannot speak to golf, or tennis. The location of the country club is off Pacific around 40th. You will have to pay attention as the building sits well off the road. The majority of parking is in front with a pull up cover to building. There is also parking in the rear and side. All the lots are in fantastic condition and only minimal debris noted where I parked in the back. The club is modern in its architecture exterior. Tan color on wood runs all around the property including the pool house. The interior is nicely appointed with carpeting and white moldings. Their are two sets of restrooms for both men and women. The men's room on the North had tile floor and marble counter tops. Proper supplies were in the lavatory and the imprinted PACC paper towels a cool touch. One of the four sinks had a steady drip that I reported. Tonight they shined feeding over 500 attendees of Tide Swimming in a buffet in less than 30 minutes. The two line system worked efficiently and staff was every where to assist. The person in charge Steven L. did a wonderful job supervising. The food was bread, salad, two types of pasta, chicken and pizza. Nothing overly taxing but they did it great! Everything was served hot and delicious. Cookie plates were placed on the table. Staff cleared promptly. In order to spare a higher number of staff drinks were self serve. Disappointing however that everything was styrofoam. The bartender at the cash bar was friendly and this set up worked well, however a second bartender would have been great to reduce lines. The selection of beer was weak for someone who enjoys craft beer. My jack and coke was made correct. I will touch on the pool since this is the reason I most often attend. The swimming pool is a 5 lane with a diving well that has two one meter boards. The deck is great size and maintained well. Patio furniture is nice. Their are areas to get drinks off the deck and inside. The locker rooms are modern and great shape. There is a workout facility that is also housed in this large building off the pool that I have never used. If I was looking to join a country club in VB I would consider PACC. I have been impressed with both the facility and staff on numerous occasions.
