She asked my name again in Spanish. Then she started looking in the alphabetical photo bins. If this wasn't taking forever, I would have laughed out loud. She was looking at the wrong letter! Mind you I have an easy, 2 syllable common Anglo last name. Finally, she pulled out that photo bin and it was the small envelope on top. Another had cardboard & opened packaging. Definitely NOT sanitary. The hot food under the glass was literally crusty & dried out. This was at 5pm, not near closing time. Just a real "eww" feeling from this visit. If it is this bad in July, how bad will it be in 3 months right before they close?

The roses we're more than half gone. We bought almost dead flowers! We couldn't give our little girl these flowers on her big opening night! So at the last minute we bought some good ones at Publix. They opened up the back area and created a scotch and bourbon section! All the goodies are in one area. And their prices are competitive with just about any other store around. They get some store picks in too, so it's good to stop in frequently and see what they have at the moment. They continue to have beer and wine and all the rest too. Shelves are full of kinds of interesting bottles to pick up. The staff is friendly and helpful. That part seems to have been tightened up too. Which is much appreciated. They are back to in-store tastings too. So make sure you get on the list to know when they are coming up. Checkers has been around for quite a while now. And they are getting better and better!
