I had a really good shopping experience here. The store had a huge selection of shoes for kids, men and women, and it was easy to browse because everything was organized by brand and style. They carry popular brands like Brooks, Sauchony, Nike, Adidas, New Balance, Steve Madden, UGG, Converse, Vans, Skechers, and Dr. Martens, so there are plenty of options whether you want athletic shoes, casual sneakers, heels, or boots. My current goal is to collect all colors of Brooks and Sauchony shoes in every style and color. They are a great fit and especially important and comfortable as a stability shoe. They tend to be on the pricier end but at DSW you can collect rewards and there are even sales going on. The staff was friendly and helpful when looking for sizes and even offered to order online so that I can pick them up at the store. I always start with the large clearance section first to look at stylish and fun shoes to wear because there were a lot of good deals on name-brand shoes.

This time, I came for a special "meet and greet" with inspirational ultra runner, Andy Glaze. The whole event was so well organized. There was plenty of seatings, water bottles available, and the event ran in a smooth, timely manner. Andrea did a fantastic job of organizing the event, and was so friendly to all the guests. She let us know there was 10% extra discount for shopping the same day. Although I did not buy anything this time, I really enjoyed being at Road Runners. Variety of shoes, and apparel to choose from amongst other items. And I absolutely love that they hold these special events!

I walked into this store nearly in tears because I could barely walk. I have plantar fasciitis and bone spurs in both feet, and because I didn't have the proper shoes or inserts, I was compensating in all the wrong ways -- pulling muscles here, straining muscles there -- until eventually the pain was everywhere and completely overwhelming. Honestly, I felt defeated and scared. I truly thought something more serious had to be wrong because the pain had become so severe. The moment I walked into the store, NAOMI greeted me with a smile, and as crazy as it sounds, I immediately felt this sense of relief -- like maybe I was finally going to be okay. She listened to everything I explained, was incredibly knowledgeable, and genuinely cared about helping me. After using the foot scan machine and seeing the results, she picked out several pairs of shoes and arch supports for me to try. Then she went above and beyond by sitting down and helping put the shoes on for me. In that moment, feeling cared for and supported meant everything because I was truly struggling physically and emotionally.
