Plants and pots seem to be my theme lately and I'm ok with it. This cozy and inviting space is filled with indoor plants and pots of various sizes. Make sure you look high and low so you don't miss anything! The friendly staff approached me to assist, and helped me measure to find just the right size. I took home another pot, a clean matte-finish, white ceramic and it's the perfect replacement pot for my existing snake plant. Thank you Flourish Team! They also sell greeting cards and little home decor items and some jewelry. And they have a new location in Sebastopol. I'll be back!

There were felt coasters for $30, little felt rings to put on your wine glass for $28, reusable bag for shopping that was $68, tiny vase for a tiny succulent was $28 but you could buy a whole basket of succulents with a basket for that price. And a very small candle for $35. I'm not rich but I'm not poor and I would find it very hard for me to come back to those prices. I felt that the items weren't that more unique to hold those prices.

The store specializes in homemade candles, scents, crystals, earrings, kitchen accessories, mugs, gifty items, you name it. There is an additional wow factor on the left side of the store, a beautiful open space with 2 large tables for candle making. While looking for a fun outing, I googled local candle making classes and came upon this adorable spot. For around $40/pp you can book ahead (they have a select amount of slots per session) for an experience that includes when you arrive: an industrial but adorable apron to wear, a tray set out that has everything you need for the experience, and a note pad/pen. The class is led by awesome women who guide you to pick your vessel, lead you through the scent process (you get to smell scents ranging from sweet to floral to woodsy to fresh), sticker adhesives so you can name your scent, and then are assisted in creating your perfect candle (wax, wick, so on)! To note: if you don't live in the area, you can pay $7 while in the store to have your candle mailed to you within a few days post class. (you don't receive your candle immediately after because it has to set, but if you live closeby, can pick it up the next day). There are also such great eateries and places to tuck into for dessert, tastings, and more nearby, with plenty of street parking and accessibility. The variety was endless, the artful presentation of the seed packets is worth framing and the lone employee was generous with her time explaining things and even gifted us with a few seed potatoes that were just past their prime but will grow nicely.. I like what I saw and I will always seek out the knowledge of another person who is willing to share that with me.
