When in Switzerland, I chose the Schweiz Hypérion, Clos du Châtelard, Villeneuve. It was fabulous. The menu concept is a multi course with fixed price. All you need to decide is how many courses and what you would like as your starter, main and dessert. 4 courses was perfect for me and chose the delicious steak with a minor surcharge based on portion size. The service was amazing. The table linens were pressed and as fine as one would expect. The restaurant was decorated for the holidays and made it feel extra special. I loved my experience here and would highly recommend.

The Aubergine tartar felt light, healthy, & was a great starter. The sautéed filet of Pike Perch was light and just flaked perfectly. The Zurich venison was tender and the truffle foam sauce was creative. The duo of Zurich beef was such a beautifully creative plate that showed the beef in different ways & was delicious. The Wienerschnitzel was moist, tender & crispy on the outside. The filet of Icelandic Cod was perfectly cooked, flakey and soft. For dessert the white chocolate mousse with grapes was a refreshing, light finish and a great way to show variety in how to incorporate grapes in the dish. The yuzu panna cotta with fresh berries had bright citrus flavor & is also a light finish dessert. The chocolate cake is sweet and great for any chocolate lover.

Of course a book of wine list. Once you order main dish, you get two rounds of amuse Busch. Then warm bread served by the server (one at a time...). This restaurant is new to the 2013 Gault Millau Guide and entered this year with 14 well deserved points (personally, I think they deserve more points) If they continue at this level, I believe that they are on course for a well deserved Michelin star. The wine pairing done by Christian was delightful including a fantastic Swiss white merlot. Victor Cordes, the manager, has done a superb job putting this team together to deliver superb food, incredible wines in a traditional Swiss ambiance and very friendly atmosphere. I highly recommend 20/20 - hope to see you there sometime. btw. downstairs is the famous Mövenpick Winebar - a great place to mingle, chat and hang after work.... also managed by Victor and his team.

To begin with, they were out of both the wine and the special mushroom dish we had picked from looking at the menu before being seated. The food and wine it turned out we could order was very good, but the experience started with a disappointment. We had chosen to be seated on their beautiful patio, and a woman at the next table immediately marred that experience; she lit a fresh cigarette between each course. The coup-de-grace came when a man on the the patio was given permission to light up a cigar, without any consideration for other guests preferences. It's sad that our al fresco dining experience was ruined by 2nd hand smoke...

Be prepared to drop some money here - but it is well worth it, with excellent food, presentation and service (wow!!!). This place deserves a 4.5 stars, but Yelp doesn't do half stars... and who knows, maybe I'll be persuaded to make an upgrade to 5 when I come back next time. To be continued. I came with a party of four so I tried out everyone else's dishes for a real all around review of this place. For beef lovers, try the beef tar tar which was nicely seasoned and presented - but if raw beef is not your liking, a must try is the Osso Bucco - which was extremely tasty with a nice sauce, even better than the one I had at Bindella a few nights later. They swear (and so does everyone else) on their Cordon Bleu, a nice pick for those who are into eating chicken/pork. For fans of Charlotte's Web, skip this porker and get the Osso Bucco. Those into local Swiss specialties and eat liver, it is a special item here so grab it when it is available. Don't despair if you are a vegetarian, they make a well presented artichoke with vegetables soup (served in a clear glass cup), and their salads are very fresh and well presented. Or go for the pasta! The menu is only available in German. I spent 15 minutes translating the menu for my out of town colleagues, as it was entertaining watching me do this on an elementary German level, including translating the wild game menu as "the Bambi menu". The service is excellent here - the waitress took her time to answer all of our questions and made very good suggestions. To top it off, we never once had to ask for wine or water refill - it was always offered when running past half (which is the criteria for a real 5 star service restaurant), and also was frequently asked if everything was okay. Even the manager (who I noticed since his photo is on the website) came out to greet and speak to us a for a little. A plus in the winter - they take your coat immediately and will help you put it on when you leave. I didn't even ask for it - they came right away with my coat - 5 star treatment again. Reservations are highly recommended especially if over a party of 4 in this small yet ambiance filled with charm restaurant.
