In Joe Zieba and Zieba Builders, I found a design-build contractor who was able to blend these two constraints perfectly. He and his team have an exceptional eye for detail and a love of craftsmanship, and are able to execute on both. Zieba and his design team came up with a 160 sq ft addition that seamlessly melds the conveniences of a modern kitchen with my 1912 home. I now have a beautiful kitchen with all the modern touches which feels like it was always part of the house. I cannot say enough good things about Zieba Builders. Everyone on the team was polite, knew their job, and was professional. The bid was detailed, fair, and accurate. There were no surprise charges, and the timing of the billings followed the schedule exactly, which made for easy budgeting. My new kitchen is a showpiece. The quality and craftsmanship of the work is the same as one would find in the finest houses in the country. Zieba Builders have exceeded my expectations on all fronts. I highly recommend Zieba Builders to anyone considering a construction project.

My husband and I bought our house a few years ago, and after learning our lesson the hard way on…read moresmaller home projects, we knew when we were ready to tackle the bathroom addition and master bathroom renovation that we needed to take our time finding the right company for the job. We wanted to 1) add a bathroom to the existing square footage, and also 2) close off and renovate our current guest bath and open it up into our bedroom for a master en suite. I found Jim Huth Construction a while back and loved his work and design aesthetic. Davide was prompt in responding to my request for an estimate and I was super impressed with how thorough he was in estimating the job. He was very detail-oriented carefully measuring the space, and was thoughtful in his recommendations. This, compared to other contractors who threw out numbers within a few minutes and left, helped set the stage for the incredible work they would eventually do for us. We met with a handful of contractors and like some other reviewers here, got a wide range of estimates. Jim's estimate fell in the middle - not the lowest but not the highest. It was just as important to me to find someone who was reliable, trustworthy, mindful of the budget and understood our timing needs, and Jim and his team checked all of those boxes. I was five months pregnant at the time and the area of the house we were having the bathroom added to would also involve the baby's nursery. I grew up in a house that was almost always under some sort of renovation, and I've never seen a team work as swiftly as Jim's. They were ON IT. They knew how important it was to finish the bathroom addition before the baby's arrival, and their team was always on-time, clean, and cheerful. It's very obvious they take great pride in their work and they all make a terrific team! Jim was here every day either working or checking in, and we got to know what team members handled what trade and looked forward to seeing them everyday. Davide was always easy to reach if I had any questions and he must be a mindreader because he nailed it with design and materials, especially tile. He brought tons of options and made it so easy for me. Look no further -- Jim and his team are the best in the business. Honest, reliable, friendly and really a breath of fresh air. We couldn't be happier! *They're still wrapping a few things up, but I'll post more pictures soon!

After completion; some new stucco cracked off the wall (did come and re-stucco the spot) but didn't re-paint it; placed a number of texts (which were read) concerning dragging bathroom door and missing caulking around the new bath tub...no response. It tends to be a 'crap shoot' if a contractor turns out to professional or not. You could hire his crew but not he or his son. I am not sure who give him high ratings, but I am glad it worked out for them. My recommendation is keep looking. For a contractor, ask people who have had work on their house and look at the work.

Firstly, Craig and Tim were both great to work with. I felt comfortable with both of them from the start. I am a meticulous DIYer, and have high expectations for the work on my house. I also wanted to do some pieces of the projects myself to save some money. They worked around my schedule, and we were able to do everything we wanted. We asked to have regular meetings to connect about plans and progress and to go over any work. Whenever there was something we wanted fixed, they were quick to take action and made things right. They were also always happy to take a call or answer a text, and they kept us in the loop every step of the way. Because I'm used to doing it all myself, and they were usually working while I was away, this really helped me to feel a part of what was going on! Not only was the quote we received from Strong Builders VERY competitive, they stayed on budget! Any increases were due to choices we made along the way and were always talked about in advance. We knew just what to expect and there were no surprises at the end. The whole team was friendly and polite. My wife always felt safe at home while they were there, and I appreciated what a clean job site they kept. I was also impressed with some of their creative solutions to challenges in the project. We highly recommend requesting George for any tile project you might have. He worked with precision and always checked to make sure we were satisfied. We were annoyingly particular and he happily met our OCD-like expectations! Donado (sp?) was their jack-of-all-trades and around all the time. Everyone was really pleasant and many felt like friends by the end of things! The whole thing did take longer than we expected, however, all along the way we told the fellas that we didn't mind wait, as long as things were done well! But we feel that it's worth mentioning for full disclosure. We would absolutely recommend you give Strong Builders a call for your next project!
