The food here was delicious. My boyfriend and I really enjoyed our sandwiches. He got the pulled pork sandwich and I got the woo piggy which is pulled pork and sausage in a sandwich. We both got coleslaw in the sandwich and mac n cheese on the side. We each tried different barbecue sauces and left the place extremely satisfied. The portions were good and the restaurant is cute with both outdoor and indoor seating. The indoor seating is very limited, so keep that in mind on days with bad weather. We also tried to get dinner here a different day and they only had brisket left, and we got here about 1.25 hour before closing. Once they sell out of something, they are done with it for the day, so if you have something you specifically want to have, come early. This is a sensitive topic but I do think that I like Wright's BBQ a little more than Whole Hog and my boyfriend agrees, even though both were delish. Side note-- My boyfriend is a more well seasoned BBQ reviewer and he said it was great but not as good as a place in South Carolina... LOL. But I thought it was some of the best barbecue I've ever had and I mostly had it in Texas! Anyways... I recommend this place and everyone should give it a try at least once. read more

Been a while since I have had BBQ that was this good. There's a line, but once you eat here you understand why. We got the Pumba sandwich which was excellent and sides of Mac and cheese and beans. I rarely encounter beans I care for at BBQ joints - these were perfect. Not to much chili powder, a hint of smoke a hint of sweet - so good. Food is good today! The deviled egg potato salad is terrific! Service and long lines ate terrible. They have one person on the sandwich/meat board trying to serve the 32 people who are standing in line with very long waits. The manager sits in his office and does nothing to assist or relieve the congestion. They should have at least 2 or 3 people serving meat items. 30 to 40 minute waits in line to order. Hands down best barbecue in NWA. The brisket, chicken, and turkey are all so tender and have the BEST flavor. The Mac n cheese is so creamy, I almost had to go back for more. The green beans are just as delicious. The atmosphere is so great, it feels like a place I could hang out with friends all day long. Especially with the outdoor bar! All of the workers were friendly and hardworking. One of the workers took our drink orders for while we were standing in line. I've reviewed Wright's before, one less star this time although my opinion of the food has not changed. The bbq is good, really good. The people are nice. It's just a good old bbq place, nothing fancy. Not quite sure what was up Tuesday night? I ordered my standard brisket sandwich, the bun was literally ice cold, damp, almost mushy. So was my husband's. He ate his. I scraped the meat out of mine and the bun went into the trash. Not quite sure why they would serve a sandwich like that because someone had to know. I'm going to assume this was just a glitch and the next time I'll get the same excellent brisket sandwich I've come to expect, but I was...disappointed. read more

Yes! Just go here and eat everything you can afford. Our group of 4 ordered the Pit Master Tray and had plenty of leftovers but I was tempted to try to finish the whole thing because it was that good. The ribs are a perfect balance of sweet and tangy, the jalapeño cheddar sausage was perfect and even better dipped in the baked beans and mac and cheese we ordered, and the brisket was rendered perfectly. The only thing on the tray that didn't do much for me was the pulled pork but that's because I generally don't care for it much on its own. It's a nice vehicle for trying out the sauces though. Best smoked meat in Arkansas period! Brisket is king at Wright's, it is indeed something special. However, their ribs are fall off the bone tender, the smoke chicken is moist and delicious and the bacon burnt ends are like meat candy. Their selection of sides is second to none with the best collard greens ever, super cheesy Mac and cheese, smoked beans, green beans and coleslaw. What a great place to get the meat sweats! I've not actually eaten at the restaurant, but had the food at a wedding they catered. Best response I can give is just "Damned good BBQ". Flavorful and tender like BBQ should be. There place in Bentonville is small and always crowded, so can't wait until their new location in Rogers opens. Looks like a much bigger place. read more

Best BBQ I've had in Arkansas. I finally made it to their location in Johnson after having their BBQ from the food truck and catered at a local event. All of these experiences were great. I ordered the two meat plate with brisket and pulled pork. The brisket was so tender, finger licking good. The Mac & Cheese was creamy, cheesy, and flavorful, just as I had hoped for. The pulled pork paired well with the homemade coleslaw. My plate came with a little chocolate chip cookie that was the perfect sweet ending to this meal. There was not a line when we arrived on a Saturday afternoon, but I can see how a line could easily start forming on the porch. There is inside seating and outside seating. This is a casual place and a bit cramped, so be prepared to rub elbows with your neighbors. In my experience, the best BBQ comes from a place like this... the focus is on the food. There was live music out in "the yard" when we were here. There is also a separate bar, a kiddie area, and a bag toss game outside. I highly recommend this place and will make it a regular for my BBQ fix, even if it is a 40 minute drive from home. Totally worth it. read more
