If you are craving top-tier, Texas-style barbecue in Northwest Arkansas, Wright's Barbecue is a premier destination. When it comes to pure flavor and quality, this place easily earns a 5/5 stars. The brisket is phenomenal--expertly smoked with an incredible bark, melt-in-your-mouth tenderness, and rich flavor that stands up to the best out there. To top it off, the supporting cast of sides is fantastic, rounding out the meal perfectly. As for the value, I'd rate the quantity and price closer to a 3.5 to 4 stars. The portions are definitely not huge, and considering the price point, they really should include at least 50% more meat to make it feel worth the cost. The Verdict: I would definitely go back because the quality is hard to beat, though the price-to-portion ratio means it will likely be more of a periodic treat rather than a regular stop. Great service and love the local flair of the location. It's also at a trail head and makes it a nice stop for a beer and grub spot. read more

First time here at Wrights and it was a great experience. The staff welcomes you with a smile and directions to follow the line for delicious bbq. As you walk in you meet the meat cutter and he takes your order. I had the 2 meat plate with turkey and sausage. My sides were chips and a sweet potato. I also had a sweet tea. We decided to enjoy a comfy booth in the AC!!! The portions were fair and the food looked amazing on my tray. We sat down and boom! Delicious turkey and sausage. I made couple half sandwiches with some white bread. The smoked sweet potato was the best part of my meal. It was so sweet and delicious. Overall great place for a lunch stop after biking 10-12 miles!!! We will be back. My best friend had the Woopig sandwich with pulled pork, sausage and cole slaw on he side. He enjoyed it immensely! They also have some shaded outdoor seating. read more

A must stop in Bentonville! Completely worth the hype - the BBQ is outstanding! I admittedly panic ordered in line when it came to the sides but they turned out incredible as well (mashed potatoes and cole slaw). Pulled pork was definitely my favorite of the day, it pairs perfect with the pickled onions and pickles. My partner isn't big on pork so we got chicken nachos as well, the cheese sauce was elite. Highly doubt there is a bad thing on the menu. read more

I came for the bacon burnt bacon ends but they were out. Turkey was gone too. I chose a two meat plate with two sides. Brisket and pork ribs. They were tasty, but not extraordinary. The sweet/classic bbq sauce was added zest and sweetness to the meats. The spicy sauce had a kick for those that crave a nice burn. The sides outshined the meats which was a surprise because usually sides are an afterthought at bbq spots. But here, I went with the recommended options by one of the team members; ranch potato salad and honey butter green beans. Oh boy were they delicious. Highly recommend! I'd come back for those and to try the bacon burnt ends. read more

The service is not speedy, and if you are at lunch rush you will be waiting. They are very nice though and helpful on options. Ambiance is pretty much an outdoor place with low expectations. The food is good, but not all of it was for me. Their BBQ sauces help a lot, but it's not much competition to Texas BBQ read more

Wow. Wow. Wow. Incredible first time trying Wright's. I got the 2 meat plate that includes two sides and my whole plate was amazing. Brisket: 4.5/5 Pulled pork: 4.6/5 Green beans: 5/5 Mac & cheese: 3/5 I was shocked, but the mac and cheese was probably my least favorite thing I got, I would probably try a different side next time I visit. But, it was SO much better as a loaded bite with their buttermilk ranch and pulled pork all together. Service was great. Everyone was so kind and two people checked on me asking how everything was. Nice outdoor patio as well as an enclosed patio area. read more

Always love me some bbq! After arriving in town we discovered Wright's and knew this was the location for dinner. Ordered at the counter, the staff was fast and friendly. We shared the three meat plate, brisket, burnt ends and jalapeño cheddar sausage. Sides were deviled egg potato salad, collard greens and smoked beans. Brisket was excellent as were the beans. I really liked the collard greens and sausage too. I've had better burnt ends but these were good, just a little firmer than I prefer. We sat outside at a picnic table and it was nice. The breeze was pleasant. Would recommend. read more

I stopped into Wright's BBQ and went with the Brisket and Burnt Ends for my 2 Meat Plate. The Brisket had a good flavor but wasn't as moist as I would have liked, which was a little disappointing given how well-known they are for it. On the other hand, the Burnt Ends were absolutely delicious--tender, flavorful, and definitely the highlight of the meal. The atmosphere was casual and welcoming, and service was quick and friendly, which added to the overall experience. While not perfect, the food was solid, and I'd definitely come back--especially for those Burnt Ends. read more

One of the best bbq I've had. The brisket was really good, the smoked chicken was ok, a bit dry but good flavor. I'm not a big meat person so I ate a lot more of the sides- which were SO GOOD. I got the mashed potatoes and baked beans. The beans were hands down the best I've ever had. There are chunks of brisket (I think) in the beans, not too salty, just perfect and slightly sweet. I paired the mashed potatoes with the beans ... yum. We got their banana pudding too, would recommend. Besides the food... all the staff were extremely nice and friendly. Great service. read more

Was in town for business and this place had really good reviews. The food was amazing! So much so I went back two days in a row. The smoked chicken, smoked turkey, brisket and the fall of the bone ribs were delicious! Two thumbs up to all of it. My sides were the collard greens and they were seasoned to perfection with bacon, the deviled egg potato salad and smoked beans were also good! The banana pudding for dessert was out of this world! Service was great and the ambience was chill. They have several different sauces to try also. Go with confidence! read more

Fantastic Food, Excellent and Friendly Service, in a down home vibe and ambiance is how I would describe Wright's Barbecue in Bentonville. Let me start by saying this is the BEST BBQ I've ever had in my life. Wright's is doing everything RIGHT!! I ordered Ribs, Brisket, Bacon Burnt Ends, Sausage, Mac n Cheese, Greens, and Smoked Baked Beans. The brisket is seasoned perfectly, super tender, and melts in your mouth! The ribs and burnt ends are equally flavorful with a sweet and smoky balance. Every bite is heavenly! The sausage was smoked to perfection and also delicious. All of the sides compliments the meat, and it's what I call a "party in your mouth"!! I spoke to the guys who also gave me a sample of their pastrami (I wish my stomach had more room) which was also amazing in flavor and also melts in your mouth. I'm giving Wright's 20 STARS!! Can't wait for them to open their next location by Walmarts Home Office!! read more

Wright's Barbecue lives up to its reputation. The burnt ends on the Rocket Man were perfection and go head to head with the best bbq I have ever had. The nachos could have had a bit more topping to have a better chip to topping ratio, but it was so good I wasn't too focused on that. Our server was helpful and you could tell he enjoyed where he worked. There wasn't a ton of seating inside, but enough for us and quite a bit more outside. We will definitely be back for more! read more

Oh my goodness, this place was wonderful! The food was outstanding, we had the small sampler, which was recommended by a fella in line. It was perfect!! I had Wright's twice in a week when hosting family visiting from California. I'm the type of person who is really scared of having a disappointing second meal after an incredible first, and I am pleased to report that both meals were 100%. I came in with my partner on a Saturday, and we managed to snag the last beef rib, which was the special of the day. We got that with deviled egg potato salad and collards on the side. I have never had a rib so giant, so it was truly an experience cutting into the meat and seeing it fall off the bone. I enjoyed how peppered the meat was, and that we had the choice to add how ever much BBQ sauce as we wanted. I think this is a standard thing in the south, but where I grew up, the meat was always swimming in sauce, which is why I thought I didn't like barbecue. The sides were great complements to the barbecue, especially the collards, which seemed to have been cooked with smoked turkey. The second time around, we ordered a three-meat combo with brisket, sausage, pork ribs with collards and macaroni and cheese. We ended up adding a pulled pork and sausage sandwich, as well as an order of their brisket chili (it was cold and we were hungry). Though the beef rib is a standout for me, all of the other meats were tender and well-seasoned. I especially liked their sausages and pork ribs, and the macaroni was a winner--cheesy, and not too gluey/soupy and not too brick-y, either. Service is always fast, friendly, and there's a decent amount of seating, though most of it is outside. I would recommend getting takeout in the colder months, though there are a few seats inside and a heated tent next door. read more

I tried brisket and ribs and both were delicious! Within our party of four there were mixed reviews about the side dishes. They offer two types of potato salad, a mustardy looking one with boiled eggs and a ranch flavored wine that looks white. I personally did not care for either flavors and potatoes were very large chunks. My husband didn't care for it either. But another one of our party had it and thought it was very good. Another one of our party had green beads and macaroni and cheese and thought both were very good. I also tried the coleslaw, which was a little sweet and yellow looking. It wasn't my favorite either. Our service was very friendly and fast and portions were generous. This place is a small house converted. It's a little rough looking. There were only three tables inside where you order we were able to get one of those. There's also a small freestanding building right next to it where you can take your food and there are tables in there but it was filled and there is also outdoor seating. It was pretty hot so we opted to stay inside. We did have to fight off some flies. The place is clearly very popular. read more

THE best BBQ in Northwest Arkansas!!! 2 meat plate is the best deal. Pro tip - get brisket 1/2 lean 1/2 fatty, pulled pork, Mac & cheese, & collard greens. It can be enough for 2 people or 1 person who wants to be in the best food coma afterwards. Despite a long line even before 11:30 AM, the service moves quickly. One of the managers even stops by all the tables to check how your experience was! Comfortable seating in the booths & plenty of space for everyone's trays of food. read more

Yes, you wait in line and no one serving is in a hurry.....but it is worth it. Being from KC, we never have high expectations for BBQ but this place held its own. Brisket was a little fatty for my taste but very good, bacon burnt ends were interesting and smoked chicken was great. Hubby and I shared the three meat platter that came with two sides and ordered an additional side. We chose smoked beans, deviled egg potato salad and macaroni with a cheese sauce that made you want to lick the bowl! If you get it to go, you can walk right across the street to an amazing park, find a bench or rock and enjoy the scenery....just watch out for all the bikes! read more

Can't beat their BBQ!! Always a pleasure to eat there! Carry out is always good too!

This was, by far, the most memorable food we had during our week-long trip to Bentonville. I think this might be my only must-stop food of the trip for any meat eaters. I got the pulled pork sandwich with chips and a coke. The pulled pork was exactly what pulled pork should be - tender, juicy, full of flavor. I wasn't a fan of any of the sauces, but the meat was so perfectly done that you didn't really even need any sauce. Everyone working there was super friendly and helpful. I wish they would do something about all of the flies outside. That seems like a little bit of a health-code hazard waiting to happen. If I ever find myself back in Bentonville, this is one place I would go out of my way to stop at. read more

Okay, so it was a Saturday afternoon and busy so there was no seating. Which pointed out how bad the seating options are. I appreciate the "heated tent" but it was not heated lol. Flat out, the food is AMAZING! I was so pleased, especially with the sides. A lot of the bbq places I've been to tend to concentrate on the meat and the sides lack, but let me tell you this was some of the best mashed potatoes I've ever had. And I make damn good mashed potatoes. I was disappointed they were out of burnt ends for my Rocketman, but I got extra brisket and the Mac and cheese which was creamy, cheesy and delightful. My only food complaint is that the brisket was waaaay waaaaaaay too peppery. Like whoa. I will drive an hour every time to come have this again and again. Just hopefully when it's not busy so I don't have to stand to eat by the cold door lol. read more

Went with a large group. Pulled pork was really good. Collard greens were the best I've ever had. Their "smoked beans" were too sweet for my taste. What can you say, Wrights does it right. Their brisket is some of the best I have ever had, tender and juicy packed with flavor. The proof is that the meat doesn't need sauce, it is delicious on its own. Great sides and sauce options for those who need it. 4 locations and they are busy, you may have to stand in line but your patience will be rewarded. The original is a small house in Johnson, the Rogers location has a tone of covered outdoor seating for those nice days. We often get it to go when we are treating our hard working staff. read more

Very unique location. Food was amazing. Staff was friendly. Really enjoyed the experience.

So good! We got the 3 meat plate and it was so much food! Yes even for the husbands! Ribs were our favorite, brisket was great, the bacon smoked ends were good but not the best burnt ends we have had. Sauces are all on point, the bold and sweet were our favorites. Sides that got our attention were the collards and the ranch potato salad. The mashed potatoes were good but not amazing. Love that they have pickles and pickled onions, both nice additions to offset the meats. The kids meals were a great price with a great amount of food, our 8 year old boy got brisket and Mac n cheese and portion was nice. The service was amazing, quick even for the long line out the door. Very clean outside, inside as well. Loved it and we will be back next Arkansas trip! read more

We came for lunch on Friday afternoon around noon. There was little to no line when we arrived and the guys behind the counter were super friendly. I got the smoked chicken plate with roasted sweet potato and collard greens and my husband got the two meat plated with smoked turkey, cheddar jalapeño sausage, shell and cheese and green beans.
