I had made it clear at my introductory appointment back in May, that as a retired teacher, I only had six weeks of dental insurance left before my insurance ended.They booked me for June 10th (today). Now they have informed me that they can't see me until July! If I had canceled the appointment myself I would have been charged a fee of $75. The only thing Dr. Martin's office offered was to set me up with yet another dentist. That is not an option for me. My insurance won't cover me for another introductory appointment. I am really disappointed that this dental office won't make an effort to fit me into their schedule before the end of the month. They knew my situation and they obviously don't care that I won't be getting that new filling.

The monitor in front of me had been left on, showing the daily schedule--including my name and those of all the other patients coming in that day. I watched my appointment time come and go on the screen. I was concerned the anesthesia might wear off, and I also had somewhere I needed to be shortly after. I eventually decided to leave and possibly reschedule. I was moving back to New York soon anyway, so I booked an appointment with my longtime dentist in Brooklyn instead. When he reviewed my x-rays and examined my teeth, he told me I didn't have a single cavity. My teeth looked perfectly healthy! No treatment needed at all. I'm glad I walked out. If I hadn't, I might've let this trickster treat my mouth like an ATM and perform unnecessary work on perfectly healthy teeth. Be wary.
