I've been a patient here for 3 years. Chris Morgan is a superb dentist, the hygenist I've been seeing, Natalie, is also awesome. My dentistry results have never been better. The rest of the staff is awesome too. I feel fortunate to have stumbled in to Dr. Chris Morgan's office when I first moved to Santa Fe. My wife and MIL used him too and we were unanimous in believing this was our favorite dental experience. When I first moved here i had to have a root canal and it was a far better experience than I expected. The technology is first rate and so is the methodology. I was told I needed several fillings just to start, with more dental work to follow later. I scheduled an appointment and went in to begin treatment. After the assistant administered the anesthesia shots, I sat in the chair and waited for over an hour. The monitor in front of me had been left on, showing the daily schedule--including my name and those of all the other patients coming in that day. I watched my appointment time come and go on the screen. I was concerned the anesthesia might wear off, and I also had somewhere I needed to be shortly after. I eventually decided to leave and possibly reschedule. I was moving back to New York soon anyway, so I booked an appointment with my longtime dentist in Brooklyn instead. When he reviewed my x-rays and examined my teeth, he told me I didn't have a single cavity. My teeth looked perfectly healthy! No treatment needed at all. I'm glad I walked out. If I hadn't, I might've let this trickster treat my mouth like an ATM and perform unnecessary work on perfectly healthy teeth. Be wary. read more

Dr.Morgan was incredibly rude, demeaning and spoke at me (not with me). He kept interrupting me when I tried to explain my medical history and told me "that's not a real thing". He had never met me and was jumping to conclusions that I didn't take my dental hygiene seriously. He told the assistant "don't create a treatment plan until I know she's serious about her dental hygiene ". I left, called my husband in tears because of Dr.Morgan's treatment of me. It's rare to find a dentist who cares about his patients the way Dr Morgan does. We visited 3 dentist in Santa Fe and two in Dallas. A friend actually recommended Dr Morgan who had done her Veneers last year. Dr. Morgan is hands down one of the best dentist we've been to. Unfortunately my husband was suffering from major tooth decay and cavities. He took the time to explain everything to us, and handled us with great care. I wouldn't recommend anyone else in the Santa Fe area to do the quality of work he was capable of doing. My husband is beyond thrilled about his new smile. He is now confident enough to smile in photos! There is not enough I could say or thank Dr Morgan for the confidence he has given him. He has bettered our life with his amazing skills in dentistry. Scammy cosmetic dentist. I told the hygienist up front that I have a serious genetic connective tissue condition. I thought I was going to receive a simple teeth cleaning. You know, during a *pandemic* when accessing basic medical care is difficult. After 45+ minutes of standing in weird positions for image after image after image, I found it increasingly hard to keep telling myself, "I just have to get through the imaging and then my teeth will be cleaned." I have no knee articulation; I have femoral trochlear dysplasia. Standing around that long is fatiguing and painful and causes tissue damage, especially if I'm not wearing leg and back braces. Dental chairs are painful, too. When I finally made it to a chair, the dentist waltzed in and said, "I googled Ehlers Danlos Syndrome," as if he was super clever. Who does that? Tacky. He put one of the unnecessary full color photos of my teeth on a giant monitor for all to see (in an open floor plan office) and said, "So how do you like this look?," in a clear attempt to embarrass me and convince me I needed cosmetic procedures. I said that I came for a simple tooth cleaning. He said in a patronizing voice, that not only was I not getting a tooth cleaning, but that all the imaging was "necessary" so that he could see my teeth. I remember going to the dentist in the 70s, before he was born. Dentists cleaned teeth just fine with basic x-rays. He told me that one of my fillings was failing, and possibly a second. FALSE. At that point, I got up to call my spouse waiting for me outside to say that I wasn't going to have my teeth cleaned, and that the dentist actually said, "I googled Ehlers Danlos Syndrome." By the time I left, I was in extreme physical pain and quite angry at how I was treated *during a pandemic*. I went to another dentist office in Santa Fe. They were kind, respectful, fully vaccinated, and did what I asked: a simple tooth cleaning with metal tools only, nothing that causes aerosol spreading, which exacerbates my bronchiectasis caused by EDS and asthma. That dentist said that *my filling was not failing* and that my teeth looked good and my dental hygiene was excellent. Every person kthere went out of their way to accommodate my special needs and make me feel safe in their office. The dentist did the cleaning herself. It took about ten minutes. The x-rays were minimal and fast. That's what a dentist is supposed to do. read more

Dr. Morgan is, hands down, the best dentist I've had. He saved my teeth early on (after another dentist ignored some information on x-rays). He always has updated technology to support his practice and he continually educates himself. He's a good professional and local citizen with a sense of humor, and it's not a chore to see him. Obviously, he can't save teeth that are already beyond repair, but he will give you the best care for what you've got and he'll work with you until it is right. read more
