They have been closed with a change of ownership and they were the first event under new ownership, We couldn't have been more pleased. They didn't have an events manager yet. Thank you to Kat for making sure we had an amazing event. Many of their management team came to this location to pitched in and make it perfect! The venue is located in the second floor. Dark hardwood floors and light oak bourbon barrels are around and through the venue. Wow what ambience! Elegant and romantic vibe. Currently not open for walk ins, but believe you can call and setup a bourbon/whiskey tasting. Would be a great location for corporate events as well.

Our third visit and we feel like we're getting a sense of the rhythm of the place…read more First, the space is cool. Industrial, post cold-war leftover structure they made their own. Amid derelict epic dry dock gantry crane trusses and girders and concrete and 19th century brickwork and the potential fragrances of nuclear/PCBs/dioxin toxic soils underfoot. Don't stand in one place too long, I think. Enough o' that. Dining space is appointed consistent with the industrial surroundings yet still feels warm. Some hi-tops in bar area ready to go. Several tables around the dining space in various deuce/four-top plans. Full bar has several stools at the beautifully carved arcade with one of the most energetic, personable, knowledgeable bartenders this side of the bay bridge. He'll lay out the mash bill for every one of their house distilled spirits if u ask. Legend. Their distilled selections are impeccable and should be sampled while ur there. Wine and beer list is well considered and covers the bases. Menu is fried chicken/southern/soul spirited done consistently and well. My highlights being the pork braised collards with a touch of spice, chicken sandwich and crinkle cuts. Mmmm, pot likker. Don't miss that. Sandwich is robust, crispy, dressed flavorful and balanced. Crinkle cut fries crispy and fluffy inside. Dippin' heaven. Dining service can feel a bit sluggish, disjointed and inattentive at times. Don't fear being a little assertive for what u want, staff are gracious always even if a little behind the vibe. Consider also their scheduled hours of operation. Now thurs thru Sunday. What we've found is by Sunday afternoon u may face a lack of many things from the menu. Our last: Order BLT salad? No bacon. No tomatoes. No go. Ok. How 'bout fried green beans? No green beans. Kinda felt like, "Ok, tell me what u do have." Chicken sandwiches? Yep. Ok do that. Thats the way it goes sometimes. By the time my belly was full with yummy chicken I wasn't mad at 'em. The awesome after lunch S&C bourbon manhattan at the bar further mellowed my mild service-harsh. Get in, get early. Rest rooms are to the left of the bar. Clean and roomy. Come as u are unisex appointments. Hand wash station as you return to dining room. Joe Bob says go Savage what they're Cooke-n.

What a great discovery Treecraft Distillery was riding our bikes from Oakland on the Bay bridge…read morebike trail to Treasure Island! Our bike party of four decided to make a pit stop here after lunch on our way back across the bridge. We were most interested in the whisky and the rum fermented with whisky yeast. Three of us decided to do a bit of tasting. - all very flavorful, smooth spirits which went down easy. I took home the chocolate bourbon, American whisky and rum. The prices for each bottle are so reasonable at $40- $45 each. There's also a casual seating area where people were congregating and enjoying their spirits. Unfortunately for us, this would not have been a great idea with all of us on bicycles. Treecraft is a destination worth visiting to try their local made vodka, gin, whiskies and rum when going to Treasure Island. I'm a fan of supporting local. I'd like to try their vodka and gin on my next visit. For now, I enjoy the American whisky over rocks though!

Like lots of other reviewers, I was found Treecraft through Groupon…read more The distillery itself is small and there is an area out front with tables for the tastings. It was a cute place and parking was easy. I liked that it was a little bit in the middle of nowhere and there weren't many people around until we were getting ready to go...it seemed like we went from being the only people there to the place being packed in a matter of 15 minutes so I suggest coming early if you want to avoid the crowds. We came on a hot July day with a group of 5 but one was a DD and we brought our small dog as always. The fact that it is dog friendly is one of the main reasons we came. The porta-potty they have near the tables for use was clean enough, but really hot on a warm day after a few drinks. The owner/maker did our tasting and for our drink at the end, I requested something "off menu" made with the spirit I most preferred. I was not disappointed. We ended up getting a bottle of our favorite to take home. Overall, it was a nice way to spend an hour or so together and we enjoyed being able to support a small business and learn a little along the way. If you love gin, as one person in our group did, then I highly recommend coming but even if you don't this is a nice little experience and a good way to sample new flavors and learn about local business.

Well if that sparks an interest, check out Hanson of Sonoma Distillery in Sonoma, CA, on Highway 12. They make organic vodka infused with real fruit. It's award winning. $25 tastings six vodka flights. $75 tasting with a tour of the distillery. They have other assorted tasting flights $35 plus and cocktails $15. Some of the vodka infused flavors are habanero, mandarin orange, meyer lemon and cucumber. They also have infused gin and whiskey. They have small bites as well. The tasting room has great all around vibes. Friendly, down to earth staff. Right when I stepped in, I noticed the design aesthetics. I liked the full bar look with the stacked shelves and the lounge area. Beautiful, modern tasting room. The building outdoor grounds has a pond and seating area. However when I visited, the entire pond water surface was covered with algae. But I'm sure they'll work to clean that up making it picture perfect; the outdoor garden and landscaping is quite beautiful. Selfie opp.
