On January 7, 2026, Fix Station diagnosed my iPhone 16 Pro as having a damaged motherboard and…read morepresented me with the option of trading it in for one of their phones. I was sold a used, unlocked iPhone 16 Pro from their display case for $850 cash (they do not accept credit cards), based on the representation that the phone was fully functional and suitable for normal use. Within hours, the phone showed serious defects, including failure to charge properly and rapid battery drain. I returned to the store within 22 hours (January 8, 2026) to return the phone and request a refund. The staff refused to refund me and claimed--without evidence--that I had damaged the phone. A partial refund was briefly offered and then withdrawn after a heated confrontation, which I recorded. I clearly stated that I did not consent to repairs and did not want a newly purchased phone to require fixing. I requested only a refund. Law enforcement was present to document the refusal to refund a defective product. I have since sent a formal demand letter requesting a refund and have received no response. I am now preparing to pursue this matter in small claims court. I paid $850 cash for a phone that did not work, lost my trade-in phone, and was forced to purchase a replacement elsewhere just to be able to work. I would strongly caution others before doing business here.

The owner quoted a reasonable amount to replace the screen, but a few minutes after he began the repair, he informed me that it was actually just my screen protector and my screen was fine. I had replaced the screen protector, so somehow way back when I must have put TWO screen protectors on my phone unintentionally. Had he just kept the phone for 30 minutes and returned it saying "all fixed! You have a new screen!!" I wouldn't have known. I so appreciated his honesty and integrity. I highly recommend this shop for anyone in need of a phone repair.

I'm writing this in hopes that others can make a more informed decision before bringing their phone to SC Phone Repair Shack and hopefully avoid the headache that was my experience, as I paid $250 and my phone was still broken in the end. I came to SC Phone Repair Shack after my screen broke in hopes of a closer and cheaper alternative to the Apple Store. At first, my screen was repaired quickly and I was more than satisfied with the service. However, after about a week and a half later my phone began to have ghost taps that would repeatedly call emergency services and some of my contacts, which was quite alarming. I brought my phone back and the owner fixed it quickly and didn't charge me, as it was still under warranty. Once again I was happy with the service, though a little wary it'd break again. Sure enough, about two weeks later my phone screen randomly turned entirely white and was completely unusable. It was clear both instances were because of faulty replacement parts, as my phone warned me about the unrecognized parts and the malfunctions happened at random, not when dropped or damaged. I called the owner to ask for a refund, as I had moved back home 7 hours south, for the summer. I also was worried the same thing would happen in two weeks if I took it to get repaired by him again. However, the owner insisted I bring the phone back into the shop, despite me repeatedly telling him I had moved 7 hours south, and said he would not refund me unless I did so. Hoping it was simply to protect from scammers, I offered to send him pictures of my broken phone and the dated Apple repair reciept with a detailed damage description on it. Unfortunately, he simply kept repeating that I had to bring it in and began to get agaitated when I tried to offer alternate solutions. Still hoping to find a compromise, I had a loved one talk to him in hopes that it was a personal miscommunication or misunderstanding on my part. However, he continued to get more and more agitated and even called me "stupid" which I really didn't appreciate. I hung up shortly after that and was dissapointed we couldn't find a solution. While I hope the owner was simply having a bad day, I still was upset with the way the matter was handled and quite frankly a little bit hurt. TLDR: Unfortunately, I would not reccomend this repair shop as the parts were faulty and the owner was quick to temper and honestly a bit rude when I called. At the end of the day, I would be wary to bring your phone here as I spent $250, ended up with an unrepaired screen, and had to spend another $350 at the Apple Store to fix it.

I know the standard pricing is $200 through the Google sponsored fix-it stores, all of which are an hour+ drive for me. I called I-help, they had the part already in stock (official pixel 6 lcd), gave me a quote of $195, so I brought in my phone. The man working the desk (sorry I forgot your name!) was very kind and efficient, letting me know how long it would take. They took as long as they said it would take, called my alternate phone to tell me it was ready, and I picked it up and it looks and feels brand new. And get this, they give a lifetime guarantee on their installation in case something goes wrong with it (doesn't cover me dropping it again obviously). Couldn't be happier with the speed, convenience, price, and the whole experience.
