We had high hopes for this place, believing we'd receive, as their website promised, a healthy and wholesome lunch on our way back to Portland. Our high hopes were dashed in short order when our waitress listed the choice of beverages available: coke, diet coke or Sprite. Our older son enjoyed his chicken ceasar wrap, claiming it was far better than the disappointing one he'd had the day before at Ratskeller's in Government Camp. Everything came with potato chips, even our Santa Fe wraps and our younger son's bean and cheese burrito. The Santa Fe wrap was a white-rice dominant disappointment. The black beans were too few and far-between, and the wrap was lacking in tomato or salsa, which would have made it much better, as would a touch of crisp romaine. We were hungry and it tasted good--just not the fresh and healthy fare we expected. Service was efficient and we were served promptly. Fortunately it was a beautiful summer day and we enjoyed eating at the picnic table-seating on the patio. (The ambiance indoors was dark and felt like a tacky sports bar). There was a wide, grassy meadow alongside the restaurant where the boys enjoyed playing horse-shoes and tether-ball while we waited for our food. read more

If you are headed home, a little exhausted from a long hike, skiing, snowboarding. I have found myself a consistent must-stop location on my way back to Portland. They have a bunch of wraps and you can basically build anything you desire. The staff is amazingly friendly and helpful, always take their advice. They have fantastic coffee if you need a quick pit stop in the morning and they have QUALITY craft beers on draft for that cold refresher during lunch before the drive home. Keep that Hop Venom and pFriem on tap guys and gals!! My wife and I tried this place on a whim, like most randoms, and this exceeded expectations. They do have a drive through for drinks (possibly food as well) and never once has the portion size left me feeling hungry. I love the "cabin-esque" feel and decorations. It's a perfect place to relax for 30-60 minutes before the last hour of the journey to the city. This has become a must stop for me unless we are in a hurry to get back (my check-ins are pathetic relative to the amount of visits I have actually had- will work on that Matt E ). In all fairness, my partner and I came here for salads. We don't like wraps and only eat fish. So please keep this in mind as you read this review as I will try to be as objective as possible. This place has a nice mountain-town vibe. Hipster-ish and feels very local. It's low key with stickers and posters everywhere - which can be kinda fun if you're into that sort of thing. Bar/coffee shop - which is also something some people like. Personally, I like more low key dining experiences and more low key workspaces. That being said, here are the reasons I knocked off two stars: 1. Barely any protein options for non-meat eaters and/or only fish eaters. The options are beans or pre-made tuna salad. No hardboiled eggs and no grilled fish options. So ordering a salad as a meal was tough since I felt like I'd walk away hungry - which I did. 2. Slow service. Very understaffed. 3. They screwed up our order (Greek salad and House salad, both with a few extra veggie toppings. They added the extras - but forgot the main items that came with the original salad!). So why 3 stars? The food is good, the service is friendly, ingredients seem fresh, and everyone was as accommodating as they could be to meet our dietary preferences. Also, in a town where everything is overpriced - you can get a healthy meal here at a decent price. So A-OK for what it is. Not sure if we'll go back - but I wouldn't be opposed to it. read more

I've been sitting here for 50 minutes now and have not gotten asked if I want anything. I walked in here with 3 male friends, who were served instantly and I was ignored. Not only have the 3 female bartenders served them drinks, failed to ask me if I wanted anything, but then also served them food while continuing to not acknowledge my existence. There is a total of maybe 10 customers here, so there is no excuse. And the few new male customers that have walked in have been asked immediately. I bartend and waitress and I've never experienced something like this. I treat every customer the same way. In addition the 3-4 small children that keep running behind the bar. Pretty sure when I got my OLCC license that was illegal. Pretty sure Welches isn't exempt from that rule. Finally, they don't serve chicken on Monday because they serve tacos at a WRAP place!!! My kids and I went here for lunch today . The server was great. But We waited about 45 minutes for our food at 2:30 in the afternoon (not the server's fault) The kids Chicken strips and fries were great . The chicken Caesar wrap and chicken club wrap were definitely blah. I could have definitely made better which is always disappointing. The cheese was cheap shredded cheese that doesn't even taste like cheese, and the chicken was hard, dry little cubes, definitely not fresh. The wraps were definitely disappointing. While we did enjoy the fries we will not be going back, especially considering how long we (as tired, hungry hikers) waited for our food. read more

I went to Wraptitude for the first time today and had breakfast. I really liked it. The woman working there (presumably the owner) was very friendly. I had the Sandy Scramble without meat, but added salsa (also came with eggs, cheese and potatoes and your choice of ham or bacon.) It was served quick and hot. They had another hot breakfast wrap and two cold options. I don't remember the other hot option but the cold options had apples, granola yogurt and cranberries or peanut butter, granola, cranberries and maybe some other stuff. They had a giant TV attached to one of the beams, a good coffee selection (but I'm not a coffee drinker) and also lots of lunch options as well. I hadn't been in this building since Mt. Hood Roasters sold it but it had been given a makeover and it was nice. The only thing I would tweak is the beverage selection. They didn't have any basic drinks like juices, or sodas. Since I don't drink coffee there weren't as many options so I ended up drinking a snapple. All in all it was good and I recommend stopping in for a tasty and healthy meal. WORST EXPERIENCE EVER. When my group of 5 got there it was pretty busy. we sat and a waitress took our order and came back with drinks. After waiting 20 minutes we asked about our food and we were told that it would be 5 minutes due to how busy it was. After waiting 10 minutes more another lady that worked there asked us how our meal was since the table was cleared. We told her we hadn't received our food so she went in to check on it and told us 5 minutes more. After waiting another 10 minutes we were ready to leave and told them that and we were quoted another 10 minutes and we left. Would give it negative stars if I could. read more

This place offers a very relaxing dine in experience. It's nicely located on highway 26 in the Zig Zag area. You're instantly greeting upon walking into the restaurant. We felt a hipster kind of vibe in which the restaurant also has a full service bar. You can can tell this place is trying to offer a night life type of feel by offering $3 Fireball shots on Friday's. Back to food, we were pleased to see that the prices were very appealing for All Natural/Organic food offerings. Worth a stop on the road from PDX to Mt. Hood. My wrap was tasty w/fresh ingredients & nice presentation, though the salad seemed like it was made on the cheap so it might be hit or miss? My impression is that they do better on meat options than vegetarian; a few more/more interesting veg-friendly options would go a long way. They also have a good selection of alcohol, including several beers on tap. The Highway 26 burger wrap was recommended to me by the gal working, and it's really good! I wen to the "wrapapalooza" concert thing and it was filled with kids and babies. Wasn't expecting that, but I guess when parents want a beer and get a chance to bring kids to music it will happen. I've heard the Taco Monday's are a great change for the locals since most of them have Mon-Tue off as their weekend.
