I was a couple of minutes early for my 12:15 appointment. When I went back to the pedicure area, Chuck had another client in the chair and it was apparent he wasn't close to being finished with her. There didn't appear to be another tech to be able to do my pedicure. I pay good money for their services, and I am a generous tipper. Yet, no one seemed to care that I was going to have to wait at least 30 minutes. This was a Sunday afternoon, and they open at noon. I had received a confirmation from the salon for my appointment time. WHY would you start a client, knowing you have a fairly regular client coming in in 15 minutes? I live in Lexington, and I drove 25 minutes to get to the salon. I make appointments for a reason...I have other things to do. I do not show up late for them. I left without the service, and do not plan on going back.

I scheduled an appointment with Greg for some body hair removal. He sent me a note ahead of time inviting me to come early to take advantage of the sauna and steam room. The locker room was comparable to what you might find in a fine hotel. It was well appointed, immaculately clean and fully stocked with towels, robes and a variety of products. After a relaxing siesta in the sauna and steam room, I showered and met Greg for my scheduled service. Greg showed me around and told me briefly about some of the other services offered within the spa. When we got to the treatment room, we discussed the specifics of what body hair I wanted removed and he carefully explained his techniques, which proved to be the most comfortable I have ever experienced. He worked fast, yet he kept me perfectly relaxed throughout the process. He paid careful attention to detail and blended the remaining body hair so everything looked completely natural. This is a first class facility and Greg is a master of his craft. I highly recommend Koru Touch and Greg to men or women looking for body hair removal or other spa services. You will not be disappointed!

The staff acknowledged the issue and told me I could reschedule with my preferred wax specialist. Unfortunately, I had to travel out of town before I was able to do so. To date, I have not received a refund or credit for the remaining balance of the service. Additionally, I was treated disrespectfully throughout the process. The director, Khadijah contacted me and, rather than working to resolve the matter professionally, attempted to argue with me about my concerns. She initially offered me a promotional service at another location to make up for the experience, but later withdrew that offer, stating she could not honor it. It appeared that the decision was made out of spite rather than as part of a fair resolution. Overall, I am disappointed with how this situation was handled. I expected professionalism, accountability, and appropriate customer service, but instead experienced poor communication, disrespect, and an unresolved issue.

I have sense went to a dermatologist who has been able to perform the work much cheaper. My wife was 5 minutes late for an appointment once and was told she would have to re-schedule, twice they have been 30-40 minutes late for her appointment. For the price you pay they should be punctual and if you are 5 minutes late they should work you in.

I called to schedule filler consult for my under eyes and the receptionist ( I wish I could remember her name) was such a sweetheart! They were able to get me in fairly quickly! The downside is Dr. Summer. She came in and already had selected the filler we were going to use. She did not discuss why she chose that filler or anything about it. In her defense, I should've asked. But I was trusting in her. We move onto the procedure and she used the canula technique to minimize bruising however she jabbed it into my under eye, she said it was difficult to get it in bc I had thicker tissue in that area - which is not the reason it hurt. My new doctor has done my under eyes twice, both pain free. I get faint around needles sometimes so I was starting to feel faint and hot and I let her and the assistant know. The assistant was a brunette woman who was very kind and patient. She got me an ice pack and reclined me. However, Dr. Summers rushed me to recover. I was still hot and faint when I gave her the OK to proceed since she seemed to be in a hurry. This experience was traumatic. I was on the verge of crying between feeling faint, nauseous, and rushed by Dr. Summers. After the visit I enjoyed my under eye look! No more tired right? Well yeah no more tired but what about the blue and yellow bruising that never went away? My new doctor informed me my bruising never went away bc my under eye area was over filled and I should've used a filler that was less dense. My new doctor is Dr. Dulce Mascariñas and she dissolved the filler placed by Dr. Summers and a month later refilled my eyes with half a syringe and then finished the remaining product another month later. Thanks to her I finally look refreshed. I do not think Dr. summers is a bad doctor. Maybe she was having a bad day, we all do. However the care I received is NOT one I ever desire to have again. Always ask your Dr why and what filler they are going to use. And do not let them push you to recover from fainting. I've had a few cosmetic procedures and have never experienced anything like this.
