I started going to Restoration Medspa August 2023. I came in crying because of how bad my eczema…read morewas. The eczema had left my face with scars and looking much older than I am. Ashley and Rose took the time to listen to my concerns and made me feel so comfortable. Ashley and Rose spoke with other employees and as a team they came up with a treatment plan that included laser spot treatments as well as different types of facials specifically catered to my needs. Rose did a basic facial on that first visit to see how my skin would react and recommend some skin care for me to use at home. My facial was very relaxing and while I was in there, Rose continue to ask me questions about my condition to get further clarification. Ashely scheduled a laser visit for me within the week. Fast forward to April 2024. My skin is unrecognizable. While I have started a new eczema treatment that doesn't really work on my face, what is the most shocking is how young I look. When I tell people that I am going to be 40 or that I have a 17 year-old daughter they just laugh and say there's no possible way. I no longer have pores that are visible. My complexion is smooth has very few wrinkles. The majority of the scarring is gone. The laser treatments that Ashley has given me has completely given me my confidence back. What I really love about Ashley is that while I am in the office visit with her, she will give me honest advice about Botox and Cool Sculpt and other services that they offer in the spa. Charisse is absolutely amazing. Charisse has done HydraFacials, and Oxygen Facials on me. She has the order of the facials down to a science to get me the best benefits. I have also done Dermaplaning with Charisse to get rid of facial hair and eyebrow shaping. Charisse also gives me advice on at home care and I feel like that has made a world of difference for me as well. I recently had my first chemical peel, which Charisse suggested to do directly after getting the laser spot treatment. When I went to work that weekend, my manager stopped me and asked me why my face was glowing the way that it was. My manager said she has never seen my skin look so good and she knew the struggle that I have with my complexion and skin. For the first time in my entire life, I have been taking pictures and videos without any kind of filter. While this may not seem like a big deal to some people for me , it is. I have never been confident in my own skin. After getting the Alle app on my phone to save money and get coupons, I got a coupon for Botox. The same day that I got the coupon I met with Marisa spoke with me about some of my concerns, including wrinkles, as well as something that I had heard about masseter Botox. I had heard that it will make your face on her however she said it was more for people who clinched their jaws a lot, and put a lot of strain on their teeth as well as their jaws. Marisa allowed me to feel her jaws and then mine. Wow. Mine were like golf balls and hers were flat. I decided to go with some injections in my masseters and a little under the eyes. Marisa started small with my jaw Botox and was honest that I may need more but didn't want to charge me for more until she saw the results. I could tell a little difference in my jaws before my complementary three week check up. However my under eyes look well rested and full. The skin didn't look as wrinkled and I just looked younger and bright eyed. During my three week check up Marisa decided that we would go with a little more Botox and my jaws but she would not allow me to put any more under my eyes. Once again, this shows you how particular this team is when they make recommendations. After getting another round of Botox in my jaws, I have nothing there. My jaws are smooth and have no bulges. My cheekbones look so full and I am convinced it is due to my jaws being slimmer. I haven't even been back for my three week check up yet. I appreciate these ladies so much for making me feel beautiful on the outside. This is careless and damaging for patients and the community for two reasons: (a) it encourages people to sit inside of cars, with AC running on a hot day, which is wasteful and bad for the environment; (b) it discriminates against and punishes people who did not arrive by car or may have gotten dropped off because they are not drivers themselves, which includes many elderly patients. I understand that staff needs to eat lunch and it makes sense to close the practice during that time, but the assumption every patient arrives by car and is willing or able to use it as a makeshift waiting room or else camp out on the sidewalk is a disappointing combination of cluelessness or thoughtlessness. Please at least add outdoor seating so an elderly patient can sit while waiting for the doors to open. Thank you.

The esthetician started off using the sugar and the first pull at the top of my pubic area was EXTREMELY painful and left me close to tears. Thankfully, she asked if I wanted to switch to wax and I agreed. It was still a bit painful but nowhere near as bad as the sugar. Fast forward to the end of the appointment, I paid the balance due (they require a deposit at booking) and gave a generous 50% tip then left. The whole rest of the day, the area that had been sugared was hurting quite a bit but since this was my very first time getting waxed, I didn't think too much of it until I got home several hours later and took a gander in the mirror to see if I could figure out why that one spot was still quite tender. Now I understand that you may have little pin drops of blood from the hair being ripped out from the root, but what I had seen was straight up torn skin! Even my husband's first reaction was "WHAT IN THE HELL HAPPENED???" 24 hours later, I was still in pain so I messaged HS to speak with someone and the manager of the WS location responded with a message explaining that because I'm taking a thyroid medication, it can cause skin sensitivity and varies for each person. When I filled out the forms online, prior to my appointment, I did list the medications I'm currently taking but at no point before my appointment (from when I booked the appointment 11 days ahead of time to the day of my appointment) did anyone ever reach out and mention the issue with thyroid medication and skin sensitivity and perhaps suggest that I NOT get a waxing done. Only after I contacted by the manager was I told that I should not do any more waxing in the future. I was told to put Neosporin on my skin and to let it heal as well as the esthetician would be spoken to. Overall a very disappointing experience that left me slightly mentally and definitely physically traumatized. TLDR: My first waxing session ever, left me with torn skin because nobody informed me that one of my medications increases skin sensitivity

The director, Khadijah contacted me and, rather than working to resolve the matter professionally, attempted to argue with me about my concerns. She initially offered me a promotional service at another location to make up for the experience, but later withdrew that offer, stating she could not honor it. It appeared that the decision was made out of spite rather than as part of a fair resolution. Overall, I am disappointed with how this situation was handled. I expected professionalism, accountability, and appropriate customer service, but instead experienced poor communication, disrespect, and an unresolved issue.
