Finding a good nail salon is hard anymore. I never feel "welcomed " when I go to a new nail salon.. never leave happy.. I decided to try out J Nails and they have definitely gained another customer hearing the staff greeting customers by name and how they treated customers was great to hear I felt welcomed and was asked multiple times if I was satisfied and if I liked my nails. I had made an appointment for two manicures at 6pm. An hour before closing, so I don't think it's fair to judge too harshly. That being said, my friend was greeted amazingly and I am happy she was! I however was paired with someone who could not understand me, at all. I do not mind broken English in the slightest, but not understanding me to where my service is completely different from what I'm asking for, I do mind. I tried telling her four different times that it was a manicure, and she would nod each time, but there was no manicure. She slapped on some extensions and then SNS. The nails weren't altered any after the powder was applied, so the shape is odd and a texture nightmare for me, but other than that, it looks decent. Everything else about my visit was lovely though. From other workers, to spending time with my friend. I won't fault to whole salon for one poor time, and will be back, maybe just at the request of another tech. read more

I go here all the time to get my nails done, I have left happy every time except for the couple times I've had the elderly woman do my nails. She rushed through doing them and they always look sloppy, also you have to be very very clear with what u want or she will do something different even if u show a picture . I asked for dots on my nails and showed her a very clear picture of what I wanted and she put them in the wrong spots and they are joining together because of how sloppy they are. read more

Me an my mom and two sisters had appointments for acrylic nails at 2:30. I arrive and we were immediately sat in salon chairs, well we waited an hour to get our nails done even tho we were the only people there.. remind you it was only 4 people wanting a set of acrylic nails , not only did they do sns with gel polish (that's not what we wanted) but we were there from 2:15 till 7pm!!!! Which is closing time , I'm here a week later needing fill ins and I was told it would be $55 dollars ??? Since when are fill ins more than $15-$25 I can give props to the nail design lady but the rest of my experience was not that good. read more

I went here routinely several years ago. I stopped going due to poor customer service, lack of attention to detail in their work and the attitude of the owner. I started going again in the last 4-5 weeks. I was hopeful that it was better! My first visit was great and absolutely no complaints. My next visit was terrible and it reminded me of all the reasons I stopped going to J Nails in the past. I started with a pedicure. That was really good! Next, I was supposed to get my nails done and so the tech put acetone on my hands to remove the gel from my hands. I was left in the pedicure chair with acetone on my hands for more than 45 minutes while the 4 people working there competed 3 more pedicures (start to finish!) on the ladies that just walked in and 1 person was doing nails on a current patron. Once a tech finished a complete pedicure - on a customer that came in AFTER ME - I was taken to the table and my nails done. I was there for about 3 hours to get a mani pedi. I got a pedicure, had to wait for 3 other people to get a pedicure; then got my nails done. I know they get busy and this bothers me when I'm pushed to the side for people that come in after me; but the thing that really pissed me off was that the owner was sitting in a chair playing on his iPad the ENTIRE TIME this was going on. He only stopped to pay attention to me (or anyone else) when I was paying! And when I was handing him my card to pay he had to stop long enough to touch the screen on his iPad to continue his game. Went into J Nails salon this past weekend for mani/pedis for my sixteen year old daughter and I, before she has her dance recitals all this week. It was a complete and total rip off! I have been here several times before and was never charged this much nor did I receive such a poor job. However, I think it has changed ownership in the last year or so and it was $100 for my daughter and I to get our nails and toenails done! That is absolutely absurd!! On top of that, it took over an hour for them to do just the pedicure and they had 2 young boys that obviously didn't know what they were doing, doing our toes. They missed several spots and the nail polish was gloopy (can't think of another way to describe it). The same boy who did my daughter's nails also took off my gel polish and he used so much acetone that it was running down my arms onto my clothes, the chair and the floor. It damaged part of my purse and I would guess it probably took the finish off of the massage chair that I was sitting in. I don't know if these boys are related to the people who own the shop or what, but they don't need to be working here. Also...$100 for 2 mani/pedis????? I don't know what the heck they are thinking to charge that much. As a single mom, I certainly can't afford to pay that on a regular basis. But if I do pay it, I expect quality to match the price, not the wreck shop that they made of our nails and toenails. read more
