I have been coming here for years- used to hang out on the top floor, took a break for a min then when I came back it had moved to downstairs only. My jaw dropped, as it does every time I walk inside- the vibe is immaculate. There are so many little details of stunning beauty in this place, and as someone highly inspired by beauty and emotion I really appreciate the atmosphere. But obviously the reason I stay is for the people. Always quick to help me out with a door or my chair (I am disabled) and the nail stylist I have been going to these last few times has got me hooked in. Shes amazing!!! (Dina!) best set of nails I've ever had in my life, three times now. I've had issues in the past with nail techs being too rough around cuticles, and such, but she is so good at what she does and she knows what she's doing. My most recent set I went from a square shape to a sharp almond- I asked for sharp and she got it immediately. They are so sharp in look and cut. Absolutely beautiful. I've also had pedicures here and they are always amazing! I will be getting one next visit for sure. I love their text check in program, but now they know me well and check me in without me having to lift a finger. Their kids stations are ridiculously adorable!!!! Different themed chairs, neon signs, stunning glass work and design through out the place. Was excited to try a new place after being overcharged at a previous salon. (I had booked an appointment previously for builder gel fill in) Was greeted by a woman who demanded me to wait, then demanded me to follow her. I get you want to be fast but it felt very unfriendly. Then, I sat with a manicurist who had a very dirty desk and I have never in my life been treated in such a manner: She shaved off my previous nail color with such intensity that I could feel my nail beds burning. I have been getting my nails done for years and I've never felt such pain before. Then, she cut my nails without even asking if the length was okay. She filed them so horribly and so quickly that she kept missing my nail and scraping my fingers instead. Then, she ruined my desired design (a very simple natural ombré) and criticized me for picking Builder Gel instead of SNS. I felt ashamed and was so nervous that I had done something wrong. Nevertheless, she fixed them after trying 3 different methods and topped the experience off by scrubbing lotion and oil onto my hands and unwashed nails, making it so that all of the filed nail dust was mixed in with everything. In the end, my nails looked fine but did not feel fine. It felt as if Royal Nails and Spa were just trying to cycle from one person to another as quickly as possible and with as little care possible. I had heard of Royal Nails by word of mouth. It was easy to call and make an appointment. The space is bright and beautifully decorated. They offer many services and will soon be adding a head salon. My husband and I got pedicures. They offer many kinds so I chose the jelly one. It was such a great experience. They do a lot and on their menu of services it tells you the time. They offer a large drink selection and gave us snacks. They were also nice about our son waiting with us while we had our service. The woman did a great job on our feet. Baylee and I have been going to Royal Nails in Clemmons for several years. We always make an appointment and every time one of them is screwed up and one of us ends up with a different tech. It's literally an ongoing joke when we go. I truly believe their online appointment system is useless and the Manager controls it because the techs usually have no idea they have an appointment. However, I have never once said anything or quit going there because no matter who does our nails they always do a good job. Well not anymore. The place always seems more chaotic and tense when one certain Manager (or Owner IDK) is there, the atmosphere is different. We arrive today for our 4:30 appointment with Grace and Jason, and as soon as we check in he begins his usual routine of scrambling and acting confused about us having an "appointment". Grace immediately comes up before we can even get our color picked out. Takes us back and gets Baylee's nail started soaking. She asks me if I am getting my nails done, to which I say yes I have an "appointment". Grace was kind enough to also start my nails soaking as well. In the meanwhile, said person in charge is still running around on the phone..... Umm speaker phone I might add. It becomes very clear that it's my turn to have the screwed up appointment. At 5:10 (40 mins after my appointment time), he's on the speaker phone again with the lady upstairs. He comes over to me to confirm that my nails have been soaked. He then tells me that "Jason is on his way DOWN". To which I assume means he is on his way down from upstairs (they do nails on both) apparently I am not sure where he was coming from because at 5:30 (a full hour after my appointment time) still NO JASON. At this point I get up and leave. Baylee is still in process but I run through the Dario because believe it or not, we do have other places to be. Keep in mind I now have nothing on my nails. I no more put my car in reverse and I get a text from them saying "thanks for visiting, please click the link and let us know how we did". So he had to immediately cancel me in the system. He left soon after as well because I had already told Baylee if he said one word to her I would come back in there and act a fool, which I was trying to avoid. One of the techs did say "this always happens to ya'll" and gave Baylee 10% discount- WOW! So call me a Karen if you like but Time is Time and Money is Money, and in this case POOR MANAGEMENT is OBVIOUS! I will never go back, which I am sure won't hurt their business but I have expressed my opinion and hope it saves somebody the trouble. Go somewhere else! read more

My third try and it was successful. The location was lovely, lots and lots of people were coming in and out for schedule appointments and they had plenty of room and technicians for drop ins too. Frankly, it's the biggest nail salon with spa treatments encompassing an entire separate floor. They do everything including listening, and I got exactly what I wanted and then some. My technician made some suggestions which I tried. So my experience, great atmosphere, great people no hiccups there that I know of yet lol technology was current and prices reasonable. My only comment... I couldn't tell what their tool sanitization process was between customers. I'm use to a new sterile bag. I didn't see that and it appeared she used a previously used set of tools in a plastic container. I meant to ask and will. I did schedule another appointment! read more

I love this salon. You can ask to be serviced upstairs or downstairs which is quieter. A variety of seats for different comfort levels. I am always served quickly, everything is pretty and fancy and clean. Clean bathrooms. Friendly service. Nina is my nail stylist and she has such a gentle touch. I love how beautiful and thin she does my acrylic sets. They always look amazing and she has been my saving grace after some bad experiences at other salons. She has a beautiful laugh and is comfortable with silence or chat to get to know you. I am so grateful I found her! She's been doing this for so many years. I love this place. I came with my friend and it took 30 minutes for us to be sat even with our appointment and they sat us on complete opposite sides of the salon. The Lady was very rude and would not listen to anything I said about how I wanted my nails done. I asked for a 2nd coat of polish which is a normal amount and she refused. The polish is uneven because of that, the acrylic is bumpy and uneven, and the design was done very poorly. They charged me $25 for this design and tried to charge me $90 all together. read more

I have not been in to Royal Nails since the pandemic started but I needed to fancy myself up for my anniversary this week. Royal Nails is doing everything right when it comes to protecting their customers as well as themselves. When you arrive and check in, they take your temperature and then have you go and wash your hands. All Of the pedicure stations have plexiglass between you and the technician and every other seat is closed off. This is the same for the manicure stations. They do a thorough job of sanitizing after each customer (at least from what I observed). I highly recommend this salon and will not hesitate to come back again. read more

I walked in Friday for a pedicure. They were much busier than I expected, but they had plenty of employees to accommodate the guests. I checked in on their iPad, and chose my color. I waited for about 5 minutes before taken to a pedi chair, where there was a water and basket of candy waiting for me. I waited probably 5 minutes with my feet soaking before the tech arrived, her name was Angel and she was fantastic! I chose the $35 pedi with gel polish to last longer. The scrubbing and massage felt so good! The salon was clean and did not smell like a regular nail salon (MAJOR BONUS)! This has become my new go-to pedi spot. I have tried so many pedicure spots around the Winston-Salem/Clemmons area and this is hands down my favorite. They are always adequately staffed to handle both appointments and walk-ins, which is a problem I found at many other places. I would be waiting well past my appointment time as they seem to always over book. Never the case at Royal Nails. I am always greeted, they have an iPad for check in, which makes things easy and keeps it organized. They have a huge array of color choices, and the space is so classy and beautiful. I have had several nail techs and they are all thorough, pleasant, and don't make me feel rushed at all. All the utensils are new and/or properly sanitized. For the pedicures, they give you a booklet that shows all their services laid out with price points and what they include, along with an estimated time of service. Tons of different, fun options. It may seem a bit pricier than other places (not sure what the going rate is these days) but it's a tremendous value for your money. There are at least 15 pedicure chairs, and ample nail stations (though I have never gotten a manicure here) everything is clean and employees are always pleasant. Go check them out! read more

We chose Royal Nail's really based on good reviews and location as it was around the corner from my child summer camp. But now having visited and had such a wonderful experience it is where we're going to always go for all of our manicure and pedicure needs. Angel did such a wonderful and thorough job on those my nails and toes. She was efficient and detail oriented but also somehow did not take a very long time. She knew I was on somewhat of a schedule to pick my son up and made it all fit in with enough time to stop somewhere else afterwards. I'm now nearly two weeks out and have no chips at all my fingers or toes. You also get 10% off your service on your birthday if you show your ID.
