My aunt have me gift certificate for my birthday as this is her local nail joint. I was excited to try a new local place, especially one with a solid recommendation. It was very easy to call ahead and make an appointment. They have after work and weekend hours. I decided to go for a gel manicure and a pedicure before my upcoming trip to the beach. They have a big menu on the wall when you walk in. They offer all kinds of nail options from regular, gel, powder, acrylic, etc as well waxing and skin care services. I was asked to pick out my colors first and they had a ton of options. There is no way there wasn't something for everyone. They started with my pedicure. It was in a big room with many pedicures chairs in a row. It was the standard setup with a chair massager and colorful lights in the foot basin. My nail tech was excellent. I hate I don't remember her name. She was the perfect balance of thorough, but still gentle. I have a messed up big toe nail and she took extra care to make it look as normal as possible. I enjoyed getting to relax a bit and the result of the pedicure. My feet needed some clean up! Next was the gel manicure in another room filled with manicure tables. I am a big fan of gel as it lasts longer. I am just too rough on my hands and a regular manicure won't last. It's usually only $5-$10 more and worth it in my opinion. Gel is a bit difficult to get off, so just be prepared for a lengthy removal process with acetone or just go back to the salon for them to do a soak for a small charge. Again, my nail tech did a great job with my manicure. She was also extremely complimentary of my hands lol. I don't do nails on the regular, but I would absolutely return. I tend to prefer a full day spa if I'm gonna treat myself where you get private rooms for services, but Mimi's absolutely gets the job done. The people who work there are very nice and invested in their regulars. They knew who my aunt was when I mentioned her which was cool as I'm sure they see a lot of people. Establishment was very clean and inviting. Also, they do have a rewards program where you get $5 off services after so many visits as an extra incentive. read more

After being a loyal customer of Mimi Nails Salon for over 2 years now, I'm happy to award them with another 5 bright shiny stars! This week I brought my mother in with me for pedicures; we made appointments the day before and arrived a few minutes after opening time. My mom was extremely impressed with not only the salon but the overall service (she said they went above & beyond compared to the service she receives at her local salons in Brick NJ) . The girls here at Mimi's are always sweet, friendly and professional. We enjoyed some pampering and were both very satisfied with our pedicures. Worth the 30 minute ride from Randleman! My mom and sister have both been going here for years and I finally decided to give it a try. I walked in around 1 pm on a Wednesday and they were able to take me for a gel pedicure. The place feels much nicer than most of the run of the mill nail salons. It just feels more feminine inside and higher end. The chair was comfortable and everything was professional. Also it took like 2 hours! 2 hours for a sloppy mess! The very next day my thumb nail broke down into my nail bed. Talk about pain I've never had a nail make my entire fingertip pad swell and throb for hours. I called the next day and here is the kicker...I explained that I would like to get my nails corrected which is what they had agreed to do when I left with them looking like trash. The woman on the phone was beyond rude. She refused to correct the nails and also refused to refund my money. I asked what her name was. She straight up told me she wasn't going to tell me her name. Like. What?!?! How old are we??? And this is a business. Like- lady who is running this place? She continued to literally tell me my broken painful nail was quote "not her problem" and basically tried to blame the horrible nail job on ME. Like how? You would've thought I asked for something really crazy but it was just a few matte black nails. A few glossy black nails. My pics and video will speak for itself. The pics and video I took and text them to the woman (who refused to give her name) on the phone to show her prof of how bad my nails were. She text back and said to come in and they would fix but she was so hateful and I just felt like it wasn't worth it. The uncomfortable feeling of going back in while she was so awful towards me on the phone. I went to another nail salon who fixed my nails. Rather pay again somewhere else that go to Mimi nails again. Ever. It's not just the terrible work that was done. It is the terrible accountability and the attitude of the employees. Wow! So glad I chose Mimi! I'm new to the area and have been worried about trusting a new salon with my nails. For one thing, it's beautiful and clean in there. The prices are also reasonable for services provided. They've taken lots of precautions for COVID (signing a waiver when you walk in, hand sanitizers right when you walk in, social distancing, masks, plastic panels between you and nail artist). It's been a while since I've had my toes done due to COVID lockdown and I was a little embarrassed about their state, but my pedicurist Mei did a great job! My feet went from scary, to normal, to beautiful in minutes! We shared pleasant conversation and I left feeling great and knowing I would be back for more! Good experience overall. My one qualm is that I would have liked a little more exfoliation in my pedicure. My feet looked beautiful without it, but I think I'll have to go with a special treatment next time. read more

I see Anne for gel manicures and spa pedicures. She's SO wonderful! I always leave highly satisfied with Anne's work and always feel brighter and lighter in spirit afterward. Owner was so unbelievably rude to 10+ year client. Did not fulfill the services scheduled (told me to come back the next day and closed the salon early). Told me I was picky and indecisive when debating between two colors and blamed it on me. Can't believe how unprofessional she was and how uncomfortable she made me feel! My mom and I came to Mimi's Nail Salon for pedicures. We called a couple hours beforehand to get an appointment. They are extremely Covid cautious, as they have the chairs covered in plastic that they change in between clients. We both got pedicures with gel polish. I got the Detox Pedi and my mom got the jelly pedicure. The lady doing my moms pedicure didn't know how to work the jelly, but she eventually figured it out. The detox pedi included a scrub, mud mask, and lotion along with the other usual pedicure steps. My lady did a pretty good job. Not the best pedicure ever, but definitely not the worse. I just tried out Mimi's today for the first time and I am in love! We've lived close to here for a while, but just moved next door to Mimi's and I decided to give it a try this morning. All of the ladies were so friendly, the interior is cute and trendy but cozy, it didn't have any overwhelming smell of product, all the other customers were friendly and lovely as well--but most of all, my nail tech did a perfect SNS on me! She took her time, listened to every request I mentioned, and did such a gorgeous job. I didn't get offered a beverage, but I brought my own coffee in, so I'm not sure if they offer that. The place is packed with furniture, making it a fire hazard to where you can barely walk in there. We arrived and immediately, the women there started speaking a foreign language, laughing and making catty comments. My sister and I get manicures every other week and I would not recommend these people. The woman working on my sister did a poor quality job and my manicure was sloppy. Not worth the money and there are too many people doing this to bother with these people. I called to speak to the owner and was hung up on twice. I was not what I expected. Me and my friend went in for two gel polishes and when we first walked in nobody asked if we needed help or what we were looking to do. When they finally brought me back to the chair it was like 30 minutes later and only I was brought back not my friend even though we asked to be seated next to each other she was seated all the way across the building. I have a nail place less than 2 minutes from my home and they are great. But my friend wanted me to join her at Mimi's and honestly, I don't think I'll ever go back to my local nail shop. This place is awesome. Service was excellent, they did an amazing job on my toesies, and the pedicure was very relaxing. But add in the fact that you aren't overpowered by nail polish fumes and the place feels very upscale-EXCEPT the price isn't! Count me in as a future customer! read more

Today was the 2nd time I have booked an appointment at MiMi's for a specific service and not receive the service I booked for. And once again when brought to the nail techs attention all she could offer was an apology. But no effort to correct the issue. The issue is that there are 7,000 different pedicure options. Starting with is referred to as express for $25 which is basically washing your feet to a $65 option. I scheduled the $55 jelly pedicure plus an additional $15 for gel polish. I asked the nail tech midway thru the service when the jelly is added to the water and she said oh sorry...that's whatu wanted...uh yes. I asked well can u give me what I scheduled my appointment for. She said no...sorry. im.very disappointed because this is not the first time this has happened at this salon. I'm beyond disappointed and frustrated. My total today is $55. I'm being charged for a signature pedicure, plus gel polish and a $5 charge for soak off. Mind u I did NOT have a soak off. I came in with gel polish which was removed with a dremel tool as it is ALWAYS removed and have NEVER been charged for a soak off. If you are familiar with acrylic nails, a soak off takes time to soak the acrylic off. I did not have acrylic on my toes and therefore did not require a soak off. I'm a very u happy customer and have no plan to ever return. read more

my first time in my 18 years of life ever getting my nails done and needless to say I am obsessed. I came in with an idea in mind of a triangular black french tip and the women who did it executed it amazingly. If I ever decide to get my nails done again I will hands down return here. Prices were a lot cheaper than I expected and the overall service and atmosphere was very pleasant. For customer service I would give them a 11/10. The ladies are fabulous. Super nice and goofy to be around. It was fun being around them. The service.... I'm not too sure. I am one of those picky customers so I went to this salon and one lady started on me and then she had another to finish. The second lady had a hard time getting uv gel polish off of my toes so someone else assisted her and also painted my toes. Then this third lady does my nails. I picked a beautiful Essie polish and I was in love. I noticed that she caked the polish on so I stayed under t he dryer for a longer time to be safe and even after 30 mins under the dryer the bottom layer of the polish was still wet when I got home and had smudged. Then I noticed that the polish on my toes was all over my skin. And 2 hours later, one if my gel powder nails has chipped. I called and told them what happen and they welcomed me back. On my return I had even more fun with the ladies as the first time. They did not treat me like a cranky customer. They took their time to pay attention to detail and they turned out FABULOUS!!!! They even added recommendations on color choice that would go well with my skin and nail shape. 3rd time will be my deciding factor. read more
