Walked in and they were busy but was able to get a pedicure right away. Good to see a place so busy on a Tuesday honestly. Taken right back to a pedi spa chair despite being very busy. My pedicure lasted about a full hour, providing lots or rest and relaxation. I brought in a photo of the nail design I wanted and Adam was very accommodating. He helped me pick the best match as my design required three different colors. I was very pleased with the finished product and he was kind enough to get a photo for me. I plan to continue going to this location as they have plenty of employees, Adam does a great job of keeping the flow going and the salon is beautiful and clean. I noticed a change this time from my previous visits. They used to play real relaxing spa- like music that I loved. This time they had upbeat pop music but I found myself be-bopping my head and tapping my leg. I'm sure all the nearby High Point University students appreciate the more lively music. read more

got a powder dip, and they look so messy. asked for almond shape and right hand has a couple of weirdly shaped ones. length is not consistent at all, she clipped my nail way too short on right middle and it looks so wonky. they also don't put a towel or rag or anything like that under your hands on the countertop. then they just brush the dust off with their hands onto the floor. will not be coming here again read more

I have been getting my nails done for at least eight years and have been to many places all over the triad, Empire Nails simply tops them all! There is a points reward system where you put in your phone number every time you come in and eventually get five dollars off any service. Unlike other nail salons, where they try to get you in and out as quickly as possible, all of the workers here, take their time to ensure precision with each customer's requests. I have been coming to Empire Nails for over three years now, and have never been disappointed! Nam, the owner's son is my go to man for everything you could ever imagine! I have to get clear SNS since I am in nursing school, and he even somehow manages to make that look exquisite. As shown in the pictures, the vibe is so elegant and sophisticated, they certainly did not cheap out on the decor or quality of materials. I booked 2 pedicure appointments and showed up 10 minutes early for the appointment time. I was greeted and asked to sign in and have a seat until someone could get with us. We waited and were set in chairs at 11:30 and I asked how long we would have to wait before our service would begin and was told about 10 minutes. We waited until 11:45 and no one came so we started drying our feet and got up to leave. Once we were standing I had someone come over and tell me she was would come and start my pedicure. I have been told this salon is nice and does good work so it's a shame that they don't respect appointment times. I would give zero stars if I could. I only go to Empire when my primary nail salon is closed, but not anymore. I have never had a fungal issue on my nails until i came here. This week (after getting them done a week and a half ago), I went to have them taken off at my usual place (as they were already popping off) and FOUR of my nails had fungal issues. I have never had this issue anywhere else. On top of that, many of the times I've gone in they have been incredibly rude. This is also probably the most expensive nail salon in HP (I've paid over $50 for a basic fill-in). If you're looking for a nail salon in High Point, go ANYWHERE but here. read more

I am pretty upset with this place. I made an appointment a week ahead and told them exactly what I was looking for. Their doors were open 10 minutes before 9am, which was my appointment time. So I showed up a little early. I came in, and they already had 4 people in, 2 were walk INS that they took before me and my 9am appointment all a sudden meant nothing. The owner/manager came up and asked what I wanted. Which I thought was odd cause I had an appointment, and I reminded him and he said ok, what do you want. So I shows him the picture below and said I also wanted a pedicure. He said the only issue was that he didn't have the sticker in the photo and I'd have to pick a different sticker. Ok no problem. I started looking through the sticker box, confirmed he could still do the black matte dip/powder and sat down in the pedi chair to wait for my tech. It too almost 30 min to have a nail tech start my pedi. So don't make appointments, they don't matter here. My pedi actually went really great. My nail tech Kaylee did awesome and listened and I finally felt comfortable after some time. She was apparently going to do my finger nails too and I was excited since she too so much care with my feet. I told her what I wanted and showed her the new stickers I picked out. She confirmed she could do that but said one of my nails would need a tip extension cause it was too short. I said it was fine and pointed out a different finger that needed to be left short. She agreed and started adding powder. I thought it was dip and then realized it was acrylic. She said it was to help something but don't worry, we were still doing the black dip with the sticker. So I trusted it was going to be ok. Then a 10am walked in saying she was there there for Kaylee and all of a sudden my nail tech didn't want to do my nails anymore. She was trying to get another nail tech to finish me and I asked why she couldn't. She got upset with me for not letting her hand me off. She also forgot to put a tip on my nail and then filed my nails down uneven. My nails are naturally long. Then she decided not to do dip powder and she said she was only going to paint my nails. A big scene got made. Now she's pissed cause I pointed out that my nails were wrong. The manager came by, everyone was watching as now I had to go back and forth with the manager and the tech about what was going on and what was supposed to happen. I reminded the manager that I told him what I wanted and showed him my nails. The tech tried to defend herself and the manager seemed to take her side. He said he could fix them but now they had to take off the acrylic and start all over again. By that time I had already been there an hour and a half, and I was currently the center of attention for the salon. I don't know about anyone else, but I don't have 2+ hours to spend at a nail salon because they didn't keep the appointment time and cause they messed up. I said I wanted to just leave. The manager asked why didn't I want to stay so he could fix it. But honestly, why would anyone feel comfortable after that? I told him I didn't feel comfortable anymore and I was too anxious and didn't like how I felt there anymore. He charged me $35 for my pedi and made me pay for the wrong product on my nails. $30. Don't go here. If they mess up, it's your responsibility to pay. I added a photo of how she filed my nails. I still don't know why she needed to add acrylic without tip extensions for black matte. Im calling my bank to dispute the $30 charged for my nails. read more

I was there for 4 hours getting my nails & toes done, spent $150 dollars and by the time I got to my house 2 of my toes (GEL POLISH) were completely bare. I showed them a design that they said they could do and that ended up being false as well as the shaping being poor, they didn't have the color I asked for (previously told me they did) . I am new to High Point and this was the first nail salon I tried. I came in and got SNS. The place was very clean and the workers were very nice! I was impressed with the service and the workers themselves, but the nails I received were not good. The SNS nails I got were very thin and poorly done, while typically SNS is very sturdy/thicker and will last me a month-ish. I got my nails done TWO days ago and have already had a few nails chip/crack/break off. I've never had this happen before. This was very disappointing considering what good reviews this place had and the fact that I spent $40+ dollars including tip. Kim gave a lackluster pedicure even though I selected the high end 'firewaljer'...it packed attention to detail on my nails and callus removal. Massage was light and unimpressive as well. This really is your typical heard people like cattle in and out strip center nail salon. Manicure was about the same. Everyone nice enough but frankly there is zero craftsmanship or pride in what they do. This would have been only 1-2 stars, but Kim gave me a great 5min shoulder rub after my pedicure. My girlfriend and I came here for a full set and pedicure before our trip for her birthday. I'm giving this place two stars for its lack of up to date designs as far as nails go and customer service. Extremely fake when it comes to customer service. Three employees sat in the corner talking about customers the entire time I was there which is completely unprofessional. My girlfriend had an awesome tech that was very clean and professional. My nail tech was trying his best but nobody knew how to do what I requested which is crazy bc this isn't a new nail trend. I went to this salon because of the good reviews, but unfortunately I didn't get that great service everyone commented on. Tina did my nails, not even a day later the gel polish was separating from the nail tip. I've never had that happen before. I got my nails done Thursday and 2 days later 2 nails have already broken. I haven't done anything rough, that would cause them to break. And unfortunately I was only in High Point for 2 days so I'm not able to go back and have them repair the nails. I actually came in before they opened but Adam sat me down and immediately started working! This is the thinnest SNS I have ever had and it looks so good. The inside of the salon is super clean and really beautiful. They have a ton of colors and formulas for you to choose from. And the massage chairs are amazing. They let you take home your nail buffer and file in a little kit when you get a manicure which I've never seen done before-- very nice. They were really nice, the pedi was AMAZING. When I went to get a fill in I tried to explain to the nail tech what I wanted but she couldn't understand me at all, even when I showed her pictures. It was disappointing because I left paying around $120 (tip included) and didn't get the nails I wanted. The shape was good and the color but the GEL polish chipped about a week in! I recently moved to the Piedmont Triad area and I went to Empire Nails last month after reading the wonderful reviews. I went on a Friday and it was a busy day for them. My experience was OK. They were upfront with me about the wait time. I got a gel manicure and pedicure. Unfortunately by the time I got home, the gel on one of my nails had peeled off (within 1 hour). I went in the next day and the technician fixed it for me. However, the whole manicure was problematic beacause by day 4 most of the gel had peeled off. Like I stated, this was my first time going to Empire Nails with no appointment on a very busy day. Maybe it was a bad day, however, it was not the way I wanted to spend $40 for a gel manicure which only lasted a few days. read more

They also are very talented at nails and I have never had a bad manicure or pedicure here. I go to Adam for SNS and I trust him very much with my nails.
