My cousin and I decided to pamper ourselves while we were in North Carolina and we came in to get pedicures around 2pm on Labor Day. It was pretty busy when we went to the salon and although they closed at 4, the nail techs really took their time on our pedicures. I had a great experience with my pedicure. I got the Honey & Milk pedicure which comes with a nice mud masque and paraffin as well as different sugar & salt scrubs. I really enjoyed the whole pedicure. The only issue I was having was at the end and the polish job was a bit too thick that when we got back to our place it was all messed up. I stayed under the dryer for quite awhile too. Suzie was the nail tech that helped me out and she really did a great job with the pedicure overall. Our deluxe pedicures were about $50/55 each. I like how they have a variety of nail selections and how they have two princess pedicures chairs in the back for little girls. There are a lot of pedicure chairs and it's very spacious inside. All the nail techs worked really hard to accommodate us on a busy holiday. read more

I use to love this place but the past few months I have been so disappointed. Dirty brushes. Keep pushing me to upgrade or do extras. I asked for short nails and round. One foot is that way and the other isn't... now I have to go home and cut one foot to match the other. And they pull the cuticles out!! It hurts! So, as an update to my review- Royal nails has now expanded and updated the salon. More chairs, private waxing rooms, bright walls, beautiful artwork, kids chairs and even more super nice massaging pedicure chairs. They have about 15 pedicure chairs! Pedicure is still $25 and a deluxe with wax dip is still $30. This is the nicest, cleanest salon in the area without paying top dollar for a balance or grandover. They offer you refreshments while you have services and the tv's and music are at reasonable levels. This salon sets the standard in the triad. I have often because of convenience gone to another salon and then regretted it, knowing I could have paid the same at Royal Nails and gotten so much more. They just go above and beyond ( tonight I watched a guy dust and clean a station after a girl got a manicure and he even cleaned the chair legs and a lady did a Notre Dame logo on a guys toes that looked exactly like the logo) You will not be disappointed in the diamond and a sea of mediocre. read more

A pretty nice place to be pampered. They are very friendly and have always been very clean. Based on that I have to say they are about the most conservative place I go from a Covid safety standpoint. If you have not been since the shutdown they sell you a toolkit that you have to bring back for future visits. I feel very safe there. read more

We just moved to the area in February and I am very pleased that I found them on yelp. This nail salon is not like most as it has plenty of seating for manicure or pedicure but it also has the staff to match. This way you are not sitting there waiting on someone. I asked for ombré SNS nails thinking it would be more "fancy" than just sticking to one solid pink shimmer color and instead the tech left my nails half bare and told me it was too late to change them. I expressed my disappointment and she never apologized and still charged me the full price and up charge for "ombré" my nails look like they have tOp coat and nothing more. I then requested to use the restroom and she had the nerve to say "sorry the lights are off" when it was 7:45pm and the salon closed at 8pm. I'm pregnant and she couldn't even try to make me comfortable by letting me use the bathroom. Luckily the manager took over and walked me to the bathroom herself. Which made the tech lady look like she flat out wanted me to just leave. I very clearly communicated that I was NOT HAPPY and she never said sorry, it would've gone a long way. Instead she tried to defend herself and say people like it naturally. It was my first time doing SNS so I had no idea how it worked and was waiting on the second COLOR the whole time. Now I'm fed up and have to stick with these basic nails for my maternity shoot. I tipped 20% because I know what it's like to be a tipped employee and did not find it right to leave her no tip. But I couldn't even get a discount or sorry?!! Moral of my story, I will never be going back. I work too hard for my money to be accepting mediocrity. read more

Went to Royal nails today. My tech was Jennie. I wanted to stop using acrylic (used gel in my previous state). I wanted to discuss getting powder. I tried powder at the previous salon I went to and it was not a good experience. They did not use SNS POWDER. Jennie did a fabulous job of removing the acrylic, I DID NOT experience pain. Loved my Royal Nails experience! My nails were a mess because of not knowing safe places following strict precautions during covid. Royal Nails has clear plexiglass barrier between the salon worker and you at all times. They take your temperature when you walk in. There is space between you and other customers with massage chairs closed in between. They all wear masks. All customers are required to wear masks. And they sanitize each chair and work table after each client. I was very pleased with the safety measures that I could enjoy the massage chair without worries :-) read more

Everyone here is always happy. They not only laugh and joke with the customers, but each other too. They give a nice arm and hand massage after your nails are done and with tendon issues and arthritis it's a wonderful touch. Absolutely wonderful experience! We had a couples deluxe pedicure and I also had a shellac polish. One fantastic benefit here is that they use a clear plastic bag IN the pedicure bowl. The bag is changed for each client! Much more sanitary. I mentioned some minute things that we prefer and they remembered and adhered to each request happily. At no point did we feel as though we were inconveniencing them. The final thing that topped off the experience for me is that they offered to do my shellac (gel) simultaneously with our pedicures so he didn't have to wait for me afterwards!! I called early in the day to schedule a 5pm appt, which they said was fine and I was scheduled. I get there, inform the front desk of the appt, and then sit for 20 minutes until they get a pedicure chair available. Then I sit 10 more minutes with lukewarm water waiting for the gel polish I asked for half an hour ago. By 5:45 I was ready to go. I did not have time to wait that long to get my nails done, hence the 5pm "appointment". The woman who came over to help me dry off said nobody ever told her I had an appt, even though I said so TWICE. They were ready to take me then, but at that point they had already completely wasted my time. I understand that they were busy, but if they are unable to honor an appt they really shouldn't schedule one at all. I was really interested in trying this place since I work 5 minutes away, but this first impression has convinced me that they do not take appointments seriously, and they have a serious problem with communication. I will not be back. Do not bother scheduling appointments here, especially if you value your time. read more

I did like going to this salon until one day my family came home and told me thats the Manager Cindy was talking s*** about me when I wasn't there. I was just there earlier that day to get my nails done and she was laughing and cheesing all in my face. And then later on she tells one of my family members she doesn't like my hair and hope that I don't wear it on my trip to PR. Well bitch I did along with the many other hairstyles I wear. If she had something negative she wanted to say she should have been woman enough to say it to my face and not to my daughter. The sad part is I really thought she was cool and a sweet person but it turns out she's just two faced and like to make stupid ass comments about you behind your back to your kids. I really feel like that's very unprofessional I will no longer recommend my family or friends to go there. And let's keep it real the gel nails are not all that great I usually have to go home and file the gel down because it's all over my cuticles and the gel usually lifts after a few days because is not the best. I've been to better and I'll keep doing that. You're not the only game in town and you just lost a potentially lifetime customer because one thing you don't do,is talk shit behind my back to my family. Haha laugh at that. This place was pretty nice. I was serviced very quickly without an appointment but I did come around 1p on a weekday. I will say the polish selection was decent but a little lacking compared to some other places I've seen, it also wasn't really organized at all, they were just kind of thrown up there, making it difficult to find a specific color palette. They use sanitary liners for the pedicure foot bowl, but the woman that did mine didn't put the liner in until I had already sat down and I had to hold my legs up for a pretty long time while she tried to adjust it. This normally wouldn't have been an issue but the day before was leg day at the gym and I was SORE and it was a struggle. Their pedicures are nice and include an epsom salt foot soak, massage, sugar or salt scrub (not sure which), as well as the usual nail care and polish. There are several large TVs and the massage chairs are nice (though not as intense as I prefer). The lady that did my pedicure wasn't rude but she was friendly either. She made no attempt at all to have any conversation with me, which can be good or bad just depending on your personal preference. Personally, I feel uncomfortable when someone kind of refuses to talk to me, because she did seem to know a bit of English when speaking to someone else. I have being going here for almost a year and I have gotten the same length (Long) nail and color (I bring my own). The price started at $35 for a fill-in and then went to $45, and now it is $60.....for gel nails, your basic, cheapest nails. I have never been to a salon where the turnover rate is ridiculous, like this one. Then last night when I paid the $60, I only gave a $5 tip and was made fun of by the entire staff. This place disgusts me with the way I have been treated. Please do not go here. Cindy is not a good manager and does not lead by example.
