While on town I decided to take some time away from the in-laws to get a pedicure. This place was walk in welcoming. Had me sign in and got me seated. My foot tech provided me a spa book with the different options to select from. I selected the Tranquil pedicure about $50 in price. They used a lot of scrubs with an orange rub etc. it felt amazingly refreshing. Then they wrapped my legs and dip my feet into the wax followed about another scrub and hot stone massage. I observed ladies getting their hands done being massaged on their shoulders while their nails dried. They offer compliment drinks selection of soda, water, wine. Great experience. I went in for a fill in on my S & S nails and chose Angel based on her reviews. I have not idea how she got such great reviews because my experience was awful. Nine days after having my nails done two chipped. I set up an appointment for a pedicure and a nail fix with Angel. She said she would repair my nails but could not do my pedicure because she had an emergency. She said her son was in a car accident. After asking a few questions it turned out her son is 21 years old and the accident happened 4 days before. The "emergency" was she needed to talk to her son about why he didn't get the other drivers information. How was this an emergency? So, she proceeded to fix the two chipped nails while I was getting a pedicure. This was not a relaxing situation with her on one side trying to bring equipment over and maneuver my arm around and another person at my feet lifting my feet, etc. After that experience two days later 2 different nails chipped. Yikes! I came in for a pedicure and was taken to a seat that was clearly used. The hygienic bag was full of cold, soapy water. They just added hot water to the bin. complained and they assured me that it was new water and that they had just filled it up and forgotten about it. I should have left then. Instead, I stayed. Love this place! I found it through Facebook one day because they specialize in SNS (dipping powder), though they also provide other services such as gel or acrylic nails. My nails are naturally long, but SNS helps keep them strong & healthy, which is why I prefer to get SNS instead of gel or acrylic. They are friendly & they do a great job! They have always been clean, but since COVID-19 they have taken extra measures to ensure the safety of their staff & their customers. Tony is my go-to nail tech! He is very friendly & does a phenomenal job! He's fast but very precise! He always makes sure the nails are perfect & to your liking. I didnt want to leave a bad review but apparently its the only way. I had my nails done before vacation over a week ago. A few days before we left. They looked great when I left but immediately started cracking and chipping within the first few days. I was unhappy to say the least and still am because I called and no answer. SNs was my go to for the last few years. I live in Raleigh and would drive 1.5hrs because the price + quality was unbeatable. That has gone down hill. My nail appt took forever because the guy doing my nails was on his laptop watching something the whole time! Anyone who's had their nails done knows technicians occasionally have something going on there phone and that's no big deal. But to fully be watching something on a laptop while attaching tips sideways and lose is another. Then... it was 80$ I've had colored french done before in Durham and it looked much better and ran me 40$. Won't be returning. read more

Went once to get a pedicure. They sat me down and I had to wait over an hour with my feet in cold water. It took a couple hours before they finished and they were very rough. Went again with my friend for a color change on her nails and was told it would be 50 dollars just for a color change. I do not recommend this place. read more

This newer nail salon is worth a visit if you're in the Clemmons area. The staff is very professional, attentive and informative. It just so happened that I visited them on Mother's day. (Over past years salon experiences it's not the best day to choose, unless you have an appointment.) The manager, Johnny, was equally managing to attend to his own clients while balancing the flow of customers in with much ease. I was impressed by his attention to detail. I requested a pedicure, and SNS for my nails. The options alone for the pedicures was amazing! There are many to choose from. I went with the green tea, which includes hot stones and paraffin wax. I was not disappointed. The smell of the lotion alone was very pleasant. When it came time for my SNS, I had the pleasure of being taken care of by Kim. She was very professional and paid close attention to detail. She even managed to save a natural nail of mine that had began to crack. The care that this staff puts into their work, combined with the modern (and chic) aesthetic of their shop will certainly bring me back. Now I know, many of you read looking for an idea of price. Prices are completely reasonable. Just keep in mind, the more services you choose, the more it will be. It's the same with any quality salon. We had a bad experience at another salon in Clemmons when a male employee sat in a pedicure chair directly across from my 14 yr old daughter and stared at her during her pedicure making us both uncomfortable, so we decided to try a different salon. We arrived close to closing and they took us even though it would keep them there past closing which I appreciated. Everything started out great, but then the male nail tech doing my pedicure started behaving inappropriately and making me feel uncomfortable. At one point he made a sexual gesture and laughed about it with the other male nail tech doing my daughter's pedicure. Because it was late and there was only one other person there I did not feel safe saying anything and just wanted to get out. The pedicure was so bad I went someplace else the next day to have the gel polish removed. My feet were torn up from how rough he was with the pumice, and I ended up with an infection around one toe. The more I thought about the experience the more disgusted I became. Turns out this salon is related to the first one. I will never go back. read more

I came in to get my nails done today, I did not have a pleasant experience at all. I had to pick out a color and was told that I had to give the color sample box to someone who had just came in even though I had just came in. After picking out a color I was told that I could not use that color for French, so I needed to wash my hands and choose another color. After washing my hands the color box was gone and so was my nail tech. Finally I was given the box of colors back but still no nail tech. I asked where my nail tech was and was told she was assisting the client who came in behind me. I explained that I had to leave soon and didnt have a lot of time. The gentleman said... "Ok ... that's fine". Even the lady next to me stated that I was really having a rough time today and how patient I was being. This may be a big box lavish establishment but they lack kindness and customer service. I'm about in tears over the embarrassment and rudeness from the male manager of this establishment. No one appears to care that I've been sitting here even now for over 30 minutes. I'm trying to be patient but this is just poor customer service and utter rudeness. Now, my attendant is settling up to do someone's pedicure. I just asked her if she was going to come back to me. She she ... I can't, I have an appointment. The lady next to me yelped " I cannot believe this!"Out of disbelief. I was so shocked. I basically told the manager that I needed to just leave. He yelled "Did you pick your color or not". Been going here for several years now, but I feel like their service has declined. I haven't been satisfied, so I've started going somewhere else, and I kind of forgot how nice a nail salon can be. SNS is just really large, and it's always crowded, seemingly with people who love to be on their cell phones the entire time. The employees are constantly talking loudly to one another, the phone is frequently ringing, and there's constant movement from employees and customers walking around, so it's just not a very relaxing environment. I think my "last straw" was during my last time there, a lady 2 chairs down from me had an entire business meeting via Facetime for almost an hour. It was so obnoxious and inconsiderate to everyone around her. The staff should have asked her to end her call out of courtesy to their other customers. But, they let her continue, and I was too angry to say anything out of fear I'd be completely and purposely disrespectful. Additionally, it seemed like each time I'd find a tech I liked and would request each time, probably about the 4th or 5th time I'd go in, they no longer worked there, so it's been hard to stick with someone. For me, I think this place is just too large to really provide satisfactory service, so I'll stick to the smaller salons. It's an ok place to get your nails done, but it's just not the kind of environment I like anymore. read more

I have gotten my SNS nails done here for over a year now. I have always been pleased with my service. The selection of colors are amazing. I definitely prefer the real SNS product over some of the "fake" ones at other places. There is a difference in the look and feel. The owner can be a bit fussy at times but the last couple times he has gotten better. It is a large, open place. There's usually nice music playing. First time trying this place. It's a huge salon with plenty of chairs for pedi's and manicure stations. I had the sns manicure. At least that's what I asked for only my nails were never soaked except in acetone to take the previous color off and my cuticles were dry cut. Plus I was only charged $35, the price of the SNS color change. I don't like that my cuticles were cut with an instrument that looked like it was used on other customers. I'm used to the sterile pre-packaged individual kits. I still will probably go back one more time to see what the SNS manicure is like. I do love the color though and service was fast. read more

Checked in and waited. Once it was my turn I was walked back and asked what I wanted. I told him I just wanted my acrylics removed and gel polish on my natural nails. The entire time he rolled his eyes at me and seemed like he didn't want to do my nails. He rushed through it, cut me with the electric file and broke my nail trying to rush. I asked for square and I didn't get square nails. He was just being really rude to me . So I just left it alone because I wasn't trying to argue with him. I even showed him a picture of what I wanted and it looks nothing like the picture. I was sent there by a friend of mine because her nails always looks good, however I was disappointed. I would like a refund for my nails since it's not what I asked for and the service was not the best. Also my fingers are sore and burning for some reason. I went here with my daughter for her birthday. We had mani pedis. She got a simple pedicure and manicure. They were very professional on a little girl. My pedicure left me lacking. My heels were rough when I got home and I didn't have rough feet when I went in. I sat with Moon for my SNS manicure and she made 3 of my fingers bleed because she was so rough and wasn't watching what she was doing. She messed up my nails and had to go back and add more powder and then reshape and refile them. I was patient because every one makes mistakes. I left with 3 bloody fingers and thick SNS nails that looked like acrylics. I wasn't satisfied. I won't be back. There are many other nice salons in the area. read more

I am very particular about the polish on my toes and fingers matching and take forever to choose a color. I came in for an acrylic fill in because my usual salon was closed. A man sat me down and began drilling the polish off. After he did a few nails he told me that I had to soak them off and get a new set. This confused me at the time but in retrospect I think he just wanted to charge me for a new set. I sat with my hands soaking in acetone for nearly an hour. The man wanted all of the acrylic to fall off and i had long nails. By the time he let me remove my hands they were burning and extremely dry and peeling. I was informed that there is only one person there who does acrylics. My nails didn't turn out bad however the man cut me and didn't say a word. I didn't realize until I saw myself bleeding. On top of that the man asked where I normally go to get my nails done and him and the woman doing nails next to him proceeded to talk trash about the salon. I also overheard the employee who was soaking my nails talking bad about a client to some regulars because she didn't know where the sink was. So in conclusion I left with overpriced nails, dry peeling hands, and a cut on my finger after being there for over 2 hours. I will not be returning. read more

I had a good nail tech in W-S who moved out of state, and her replacement did not do a satisfactory job. I searched online for a new salon, and found SNS Nails and Spa in Clemmons. I thought that any salon that had SNS in its name, must be proficient in the method. I was delighted to find out that I was correct! Tony is my new tech, and he did the best job I've ever had. Besides being expert at SNS, they are friendly, the salon is brand-new and clean, they speak perfect English. I cannot recommend highly enough. (P.S. I thought I'd try a new place today and now I know why I love my regular nail place so much. This place is like a dang factory. Admittedly, I had no appointment, I was a walk-in. I asked how long the wait would be for a mani-pedi. He said "not long" so I went to pick a color. Right away they escorted me to a pedicure chair - yay! There are over 20 pedicure chairs - this place is huge! I waited with my feet in hot water that turned cold for 40 minutes. I told myself at 45 minutes I was leaving. I took my feet out of the water to dry them off and immediately a young lady came over and apologized for the wait - said she would be right with me. She warmed the water, I put my feet back in and another 10 minutes went by. I once again removed my feet and this time a different woman came over and started to prepare for my pedicure. Not a good start. She handed me a book, I told her I wanted the regular pedicure ($28). She mentioned that my feet were rough and suggested the $35 pedicure. I declined. This was the shortest pedicure I have ever had. Lasted 20 minutes, tops. No hot stones, zero foot massage, some leg massage. So to review, waited 50 minutes, got 20 minute pedicure. So I'm an hour and 10 minutes in at this point. We head to the manicure chair. She starts my manicure and did a pretty decent job on the nails themselves. Halfway through, she asked me and the lady next to me to switch seats - no idea why. It was very odd. The lady next to me was already peeved because she was waiting so long. Went to wash my hands and no paper towels. Mentioned this when I came back and manicurist got up and spent a good 5 minutes replacing the paper towels while I waited. Mind you, there are tons of employees milling around. We get the hand massage, she literally opens something up on her phone, lays it on the counter, and proceeds to read while she absent-mindedly massages my hands. During my manicure, one of the employees was going around the salon taking KFC orders from employees. Then a bit later, said employee comes back in with huge bags of KFC and buckets of chicken. Now the place smells like a KFC and employees are digging in getting chicken and eating it. I mean, I felt like I was in the twilight zone. This was the WORST, least relaxing spa experience I have ever had. I will not go back, I will not recommend this place to anyone. Lesson learned, one and done. Back to VIllage Nail for me. read more
