I'm probably the pickiest person ever (second only to my roommate, who also goes here!) but I love my nails every time I get them done at Revive. The polish is never too thick or patchy, and my nails are always shaped perfectly. The service is also phenomenal. Even when they're super busy, short staffed, and dealing with rude customers, they remain friendly and professional to everyone. They answer any and all questions and are happy to clarify things whenever necessary. They also have an adorable dog, Max, who roams around the shop and does his own thing. He's super sweet and sleeps most of the time, but it's worth mentioning if you're afraid of dogs. Overall I love coming here & will continue to support them. My husband and I had an appointment for 11am. Mine was one time but my husband sat with his feet is the water for 30min waiting for someone to start his pedicure. I had asked multiple times for my husband to have the extra calluses removal and when the girl was almost done asked if he wanted it. For the money it isn't worth it. Lots of appointment options and nice people. Have had a good experience there before. However, a recent gel manicure felt rushed. The polish is lifting on multiple fingers after just 3 days. I went with a friend who's been here before, only over a week ago, and my nails are a disaster. The people were kinda rude and with only being 5 minutes late they rushed our sets and were telling us we were half an hour late, so he wasn't sure he could perform his best. I asked for coffin style nails with a beetle juice theme, which the lady I had did pretty good. The only down fall is both of my pointer fingers and left pinky are super crooked, and I have 2 nails already lifting and thumb nail to come completely off. My friends nails are also lifting and her polish didn't even stay on but a couple of days. Usually a full set last almost three weeks with no lifting, so not sure if it's their monomer powder, or polymer liquid that might be bad. Moral of this review, be on time or you'll be talked about, and only get solid colors and when you get home, put 5 extra coats of top coat! read more

I had been going here for a couple years. Even though they are higher priced than most, I felt they did a good job and I liked the online appointment making convenience. First issue: I had a coupon which they texted me. I also had a $5 credit where they used to give you points every time you went which would turn into cash after so many points. When I tried to use, they said I couldn't use both, so I used the coupon and they said I could use the points next time. The next time when I tried to use the points, they said I didn't have any. I told them what they said last time, still didn't get the discount. Only $5, no big deal. I always get acrylic fill in with gel polish. It always last about a month. This last visit, the day after getting my nails done , one nail chipped on the corner. I filed it, no big deal. Next day, another chipped. Two days later, some paint chipped. Two days later, I was preparing for a party I was hosting and one whole nail fell off somewhere in the food!! Next two days, they were closed. I knew they guaranteed for 2 weeks, so I took pictures of the nails with time stamps. On the 14th day, I called to come in and get my nails repaired and they told me they don't do free nails! I told them I didn't want free nails just repair what I had already payed for. I also had payed $67 for the fill in and a color change with gel for my toes. I told him I also thought I had been overcharged. Never got my nails repaired or the refund. Terrible customer service. Adios!! read more

Review as a walk in only: I called ahead and was told they take walk ins, except they seem actually to not have staff for walk ins!! After I soaked my feet for 15 min they said they actually had someone arriving for an appt so I'd have to wait for that person to have a pedicure first before they could help me. Why waste my time?? In regards to the negative review that was posted regarding hanging up the telephone...I was the customer that the lady who answered the phone was working on when both of these calls came in. I am fully standing behind her on what happened. The customer called in and was offered their only remaining appointment of the day. The salon was super busy today being a holiday weekend is approaching. The caller said "no thanks" and the lady worker said "ok, thank you" and then switched over to call waiting to answer another call. Then the original caller calls in a second time...the lady says "excuse me we have a bad connection, can you repeat"....the caller then tells the lady "well that's your problem"....the caller either then hangs up or the connection is lost because the worker lady is saying "hello, hello" before releasing the call a second time. I feel that this is an unfair rating based on the fact that there is the "assumption" that the lady hung up when in reality there really was a bad connection that is not controllable to anyone....and also the fact that you are calling a very popular nail salon on a very busy holiday weekend and are expecting to get an appointment at your convenience. I don't think that a lot of people realize how high demand this nail bar really is. Although they do take walk ins and try their best to accommodate everyone, an appointment is preferred. They are the BEST nail shop in town and even in the towns surrounding them! You will not find friendlier, personalized service at the quality that the owner requires, anywhere else! I have been a customer for over 2 years and specifically the lady who answered the phone is the same lady I have requested for those 2 years, and I have never witnessed her being rude to a customer on the phone or in person. I am not what you would call a regular (every two to three week) customer, but have had my nails done here maybe a total of five times and the gel usually lasted two to three weeks. I don't have my nails done unless I have plans. i had gel nails done and they started pealing in six days. I called and they made me an appointment to make it right is what the man said. i could not go in right away because I was busy so I on day ten was when I was able to get in and they did not honor what was told to me on the phone, make it right? DO NOT GET YOUR EYE/LIP WAXING DONE HERE!! If I could give it 0 stars I would. I went in today for my eyebrows and lip to be waxed. The older lady took me back and imediantly I felt that it was hot. She didn't understand anything I said. She put the aloe on my face and instead of feeling relief I feel intense burning. The owner is sweet and they don't do a bad job with SNS but they are more expensive than other places.. for no reason. The offer to "fill in" your SNS for the same price Digits (in Thruway shopping center) will completely redo your nails. Love this place! They always treat me with kindness and care. I recommend making an appointment on busy days and times, like Saturdays and after work hours. People who bitch about a long wait time do it because they don't make appointments! You can make an appointment the day of, they will make a place for you, you just have to be a bit more forgiving on your availability. They always offer a beverage once you arrive and never pressure me to make any fast decisions on nail color choices. I have had very many bad experiences in Winston Salem trying to get my nails done, as a cosmetologist who also does nails it's hard to find a place that follows all sanitary rules, are professional, has good quality that will last at least two weeks (that's saying something my nails are in water/chemicals constantly) and are just fun to be around no matter who you get. For a few months I've been making the extra drive to advance because revive nail bar is just that good! The service they provide is the best I've ever had in my 21 years of living in North Carolina. The people that work their treat me how I would treat my clients, like family. I get SNS and I go to get my nails done every two weeks mostly cause I want a color change cause I haven't had a nail chip yet! First visit there was a terrible experience. Sat in uncomfortable chairs at a bar while waiting on my nails to soak. After the first coat of polish didn't cure, they took it off and suggested starting over. Was there for an hour and left with no color on my nails. My sister-in-law and I were out of town and needed mani and pedi and eyebrows. The sign on the salon said walk-ins accepted and they told us that it would be a wait because we did not have an appointment. This was the worst place I had ever been to. The lady who ran the place was beyond rude (Southern hospitality?). She was visibly annoyed that there were so many people there. Nobody communicated with us. After 2 hours at the salon we only had our toes and eyebrows done. The rude lady who ran the place overheard us discussing if we had time before the wedding for all of these services and assumed that we did not want manis. She never even asked! After we stood around for a while because nobody communicates with you, we went to pay and asked about our manis. She said she thought we did not want them. She said sorry. The worst place! I never write such long reviews, but this one really deserved it. We all have bad days and sometimes we have to work on those days, but this is not how we should treat anyone. If I could, I would give this place negative stars and not one. If you can drive yourself to a different place, do yourself a favor and do that because salons are supposed to be pleasant, not painful. read more
