The server I had was really nice and attentive as he came and checked in and filled my water up. Some servers just leave you alone and I just at and answered my questions on some of the prices like lobster and the duck. Here is what I ordered: 1. BBQ Roasted duck 2. Surf and Turf 3. Shrimp Stir Fry Now of course I did not eat everything and took some food to go. But I did enjoy most of the food. I would definitely get the surf and turf again as the steak was cooked perfect and lobster tail was awesome. The BBQ duck was alright, they gave me the tortilla wraps, but expecting more of the bread which is alright. I ordered the shrimp vegetable stir fry as well and that was good too and I needed some vegetables. Atmosphere was cool, there was no Japanese steak chefs that day, but I am sure they come out during the weekend. I probably take my wife here to eat next time.

I never leave negative reviews, but what happened at Tien needs to be said…read more My brother was served raw chicken. Not pink, not undercooked. Completely, visibly raw straight to the bone. This is a serious food safety failure that could have sent someone to the hospital with salmonella or E. coli. See attached photo. When I flagged down a gentleman walking through the restaurant who appeared to be a manager, he quickly took the dish and scrambled away. Upon returning, his response was that it "certainly won't hurt you," followed by multiple excuses and a half-hearted apology. There was zero acknowledgment of the danger and zero accountability. This is absolutely unacceptable behavior from management at any restaurant. They remade the dish and took it off the bill, which is the bare minimum and nowhere near an adequate response to serving a customer a health hazard. On top of that, I have had better sushi from $14 buffets, and at casino restaurant prices, that is simply not acceptable. The fish was far from fresh. I do want to give credit where it is due. Our server Webster did a great job. He was attentive and professional. He deserves better than to be associated with a kitchen and management that operate like this. Tien is coasting on IP Casino foot traffic rather than earning its customers. When a kitchen sends out raw poultry and management shrugs it off with excuses, that tells you everything you need to know about their standards. Do yourself a favor and eat somewhere that actually takes food safety seriously. We will not be returning.

Place was also clean, service was nice and organized and the casino is smoke free. Parking is free as well. We can't wait to come back, they also hive first responders discount which with take off about $10 off of the whole total price.

A walk-in line separate from the reservation line would help with the hostess bottleneck. Very confusing with so many people just roaming/hanging around in front of the restaurant in the casino area. The folks checking us in were very aloof though. Did not seem to be having fun and were in no hurry to get people seated. We did our best to not let them harsh our mellow. Minced Chicken, Chili Garlic Sauce, Hoisin & Pine Nuts. Really good. Lots of great flavors and a good portion for sharing. Service was good with everyone being friendly and efficient. Make sure to get reservations as they did not seem to take walkups.

Rather than pursuing a burger, I decided to try this well regarded Chinese restaurant across the street from my hotel. This review is based on one item I got for takeout: Szechuan Beef. I am never one to equate quantity with quality. I'm also not well-versed in authentic Chinese. I'm mostly familiar with American Chinese. I ordered Szechuan beef expecting a dry stir fry of beef strips tossed with dried Szechuan peppers. Instead I got a 1 quart container with a zesty, moderately spicy broth loaded with tender strips of melt-in-your-mouth beef. This was pure heaven, and was an explosion of tangy flavor. The quart could've easily served a family of 4. That would just require another side of rice. This was just outstanding! The restaurant was compact yet inviting and service was great. I placed my takeout order on site at the counter, but they have table service.

I have worked in China on and off for years and have eaten many varieties of hot pot in China and Taiwan. This one was ridiculously bad. Like they dont even know what hot pot is. The sweet waiter tried to explain the concept of hot pot, but it was clear that he was not familiar with the real thing. It was cubes of chicken, celery, tomatoes and peppers in a lukewarm broth. Took forever to get hot enough to cook our extra vegies. The vegies didn't look fresh. There were no a la cart sauces. The waiter pointed to the soy sauce and chili oil that were for dumplings and told us that sauce doesn't go with hot pot. My advice is to go to the other Dian Xin where there is no hot pot but the food tastes authentic.

The location is fun and creative (food arriving by dumbwaiter never gets old), but the lack of tables makes it tricky if you're planning on more than a quick bite. The menu itself is wickedly tempting, and the flavors are there--the wings especially were excellent. Easily some of the best chicken I've had in the city. My only real issue was the salt. And not the soy sauce or seasoning kind you'd expect with dim sum--just straightforward table salt. We ordered four dishes, and I was glad I saved the wings for last since they were the least salty. By the time I circled back through the other plates, all I could taste was salt, which sadly masked what were otherwise really well-balanced, flavorful dishes (the Dan Dan dumplings in particular had great flavor underneath it all). Overall: clever concept, fun atmosphere, tasty food--but dialing back the salt would take it from good to outstanding. Solid 3/5.
