Dan is the owner and operator of this beautiful property and he does a great job of organizing and managing the event, not to mention his communication is awesome and very timely. Whether you choose to traditionally tent camp, score an open adirondack cabin, or rent a teepee or closed door cabin, you'll have a great experience! There's lots of space and different camps and everything is close and not a far walk. One of the best features of this place are the actual outdoor showers. Talk about an unforgettable experience! There's flushing bathrooms and running water, even provide soap and paper towels. Of course, conserve as much as possible. If you forgot any food, there's a cafe and store as well as an outdoor to wood fire pizza oven. Throughout the day, there are activities set up such as rock climbing, archery, etc. In the evening, they have a campfire and s'mores. Now as for the music, the reason why I was there--was so amazing! The stage and sound is definitely crafted with care and produces such great music quality. Tied in with the camping experience and being with friends, I've made this an annual tradition!

Although it rained almost the entire time, they still made the best of the situation and the party most certainly went on. Camp Navarro is located within the Navarro Redwoods, right next to Navarro River Redwoods State Park and just a few miles outside of Philo. It serves as a campground and a popular event space for many local events. I've passed by their entrance sign on the way to Navarro Beach a few times, so I was excited to finally explore this area. Parking is ample and they have go-carts to escort you to the events if you don't feel like walking there. Tall beautiful Redwoods line the entire campsite. The restrooms are very clean and come equipped with showers and dressing spaces. They had a huge tent setup up for us during the event which really helped to keep us from getting poured on. Unfortunately, it's still forest, so most of the ground was extremely muddy. Still even in the mud, the venue was so pretty. I've never camped here before but would definitely consider camping here during mid-fall to avoid the wet springs and super hot summers. All in all, I'm impressed with this venue and would love to attend another event here in the future.

A magical place…read more Every time my friends and I are up the smiling starts. Since I'm a chef I frolic through all the crops and can even pick my own veggies on the cheap. And the main house has a 8 burner gas range, double oven and all the equipment you need. Every year I go up for a farm to table dinner to help out the farm so look for it every September. Staff is friendly, the interns and farm maneger will answer all your questions about the produce they're growing. Make it your base camp for bike rides up and down the beautiful coast on highway 1. Can't wait to go up at the end of the month for another farm to table dinner!

While my son and others in our 3 car group, mostly kids under 10 are using the restroom an employee comes out yelling at us that we're not allowed to be here. My brother explains what's going on, and that were no signs and the bathrooms were unlocked. Completely innocent mistake...sadly it ended with the employee telling us to f-k off. A lot of clients say that when they pass away they will be ready because they were so happy here that they can Die PEAcefully! LOL that was very Heart Warming to hear. I like that they are a wife and husband team providing ample coverage for all of the important photo moments. I used to do wedding photography/family portraits and we had three other professional photographer friends attending the wedding. (We wanted those friends to enjoy the wedding, not work it!). The other photographers there, as well as other guests really liked Maile and Neils and their coverage of our wedding. None of them complained of things they should've done differently. Several guests asked us for their cards. They weren't at all obnoxious and in your face all of the time. They let us enjoy our big day while ensuring they got all of the important shots. We loved their web posting of many shots and their little story about our wedding on their blog. It was great to see pictures so soon--during our honeymoon. Besides the quality we saw in their work, the reasons we selected Larsens as our photographers was because of the value received and the short turn around time. Their price was a bit better than most AND included prints plus EVERY shot on a thumb drive. Most photographers charge a lot extra for this. Plus, we received the items right after we returned from our 2 week honeymoon. Some photographers take months to get pictures out. Comprised of incredible husband and wife duo, Niels and Maile, this pair was truly an invaluable component of our special day, helping make it one of the most magical experiences of our entire lives. My husband and I knew early on we wanted a photographer tag-team if possible, to capture more ground and key moments throughout the wedding. These two, however, exceeded our wildest expectations! From the moment I reached out after admiring their stunning work online, Maile was not only super responsive, but incredibly friendly, warm, and helpful. I knew almost immediately Larsen's was our ideal partner. Over the months leading up to the big day, Maile sent a host of thoughtful, supportive emails, and was great about walking me through all the details and providing lots of great tips and information. On the day itself, Maile and Niels helped both my husband and I stay calm, smile, and laugh--even during the most stressful moments. They really went above and beyond in every sense of the word (our guests could not get over the creative poses they displayed on the dance floor in order to get the best shots of speeches and dances!). Even after all of that, the best was yet to come. Maile worked ever so quickly to draft a beautiful photo blog profiling our day, and deliver to us a beautiful slideshow (with music!) and several discs and drives filled with countless amazing photos. Their website does not do their work justice by any means--our loved ones are still ranting and raving about how stunning the photos are! These cherished mementos are some of the only tangible elements of our wedding that will help tell our story in ways words never could for years to come.
