To not have to constantly push the catering staff to stay on time, move quickly and pivot with the flow of the day is a planner's wish, and they were a dream. Assaggiare created a truly memorable experience for my 100+ guests. Instead of just doing passed apps and cheese/charcuterie platters (like you find at most winery events), they set up an elegant poke bar where guests could pick & choose which veggies and spices they wanted with their seared ahi tuni and quinoa. Judging by all the "oohs" and "aaahs" I heard from guests, the food was a huge hit! There wasn't an empty plate in the house. (check out the yummy photos) Aside from the food, the Assaggiare team was incredibly professional. They showed up on time to set up; they cleaned up everything when the party was over; and the chefs/servers were friendly and patient with all our hungry guests. If you're planning an event in the Mendocino County area (whether it's a wedding, birthday, wine dinner, etc.), you should put Assaggiarre on the top of your catering list.

DJ was very responsive and gave great ideas on how to get my vision and budget to come together. She provided a gorgeous rainbow balloon arch & she also filled my own store-bought Mylar & latex balloons which she attached to ribbons and weights into lovely bouquets for the party. She provided home delivery and disassembly/ pickup of her arch structure supplies the next day- I didn't have to do anything- so convenient! The arch was a showstopper at our event and a memorable focal point for kids dancing/playing underneath and taking pictures in front of. I highly recommend Celebrations Unlimited to everyone!

We used Celebrations for wedding planning in October 2015. At first meeting some months prior to the event all seemed congenial. This was a same sex wedding and DJ seemed OK with that and touted experience with the same. She frequently asks about your "vision." Although this seems more appropriate for a bride and a groom, we told he what we wanted. She assured us that changes happen along the way and that she is flexible and would work with us. This was not the case. The event was quite successful. Except for having the chairs in the correct place, coordinating the actual day of the event, cake and flowers , we can give no credit to Celebrations Unlimited for this success. Working with them was most unpleasant and just got worse as we got closer to the date. We found that she accepts little responsibility for errors and not accommodating for special requests. Unfortunately, from correspondence to correspondence you never know which DJ you're going to get. Our "VISION" was to have a wedding planner that would provide the service in a seamless way and reduce stress. This is not what we got. They are unresponsive to phone calls and emails and simply created more stress. We requested a bill on three occasions and received it one week before the wedding. The cost for chairs, water, flowers, cake and planning the day of the wedding was $6500.00. We had just over 100 people and arranged the photographer, reception and rehearsal dinner ourselves. All in all, the wedding was a huge success. My recommendation is to interview more than one planner, Celebrations Unlimited could be one of them. Establish your costs up front. Ask for references! If it is a different wedding, like two brides or grooms, make sure the planner has experience with this. Buyer beware and know what you are doing! Unfortunately we did not.

    We had our wedding in March of 2019 and had hired Alexis and her team for our wedding coordination…read more We were excited to work with her and met with her several times in the lead-up to the wedding. We were told to expect several staff from her team on-site to help coordinate in our outdoor multi-site venue. She was even on-site the day before our wedding with an assistant to plan everything out. Then the day-of came, and Alexis did not show up. She sent her assistant with one other person, who we had never seen before and who knew nothing about our wedding. We were expecting Alexis, her coordinator, plus additional support based on our discussions up until that point. Having only two people show up day-of was alarming. So much went wrong on the day of the wedding, most of which she had told us she and her team would coordinate: 1. We spent the week before hand-crafting floral arrangements - many of which were not set out, even though our coordinators were responsible for putting out our decor. Our theme was "wildflowers," but you wouldn't be able to tell because a lot of it stayed boxed up. 2. Our wedding site didn't have enough chairs set up. Fortunately, the bride's mother arrived early and had to run around trying to find staff who could bring out and arrange the site. 3. Our DJ was supposed to be driven out to the wedding site in an ATV because it was muddy. The assistants apparently didn't know this though it was discussed, and so he ended up running late for the ceremony while he waited for a lift. 4. Our DJ was then supposed to be picked up from the ceremony site, but the coordinators didn't have a ride ready. In a rush he ended up driving his personal van out to the site and got stuck in the mud and couldn't make it back to the cocktail party and had to be hauled out. 5. The bridal party was very late to the ceremony site because the coordination staff wasn't communicating with each other or the site staff. The drivers, therefore, were running behind just because they weren't told about timing. Our guests waited in the sun at the ceremony site while the bridal party waited to be taken there. 6. The ceremony site was not set out the way we'd agreed and was missing most of the decorations. A ton of decor and flowers we expected at the wedding site stayed boxed, leaving us with an unadorned aisle and ceremony site. 7. The backup coordinators set aside none of the cocktail hour appetizers for the bride and groom - something Alexis said she would make sure to do. 8. The DJ came to us sheepishly at the end of the night, saying that typically he would coordinate payment with the coordinator, but they had left without notifying anyone. He went to the groom in the middle of the reception to make sure he would get paid. 9. Many of the guests spent the day picking up the slack of things we had agreed Alexis's team would do. We were agitated that they couldn't just enjoy the day after we went to so much expense in hiring coordinators. 10. The backup coordinator spent the day asking the bride and groom what she was supposed to be doing next and what we expected of her next. 11. The backup coordinator and her assistant were given walkie-talkies from the venue staff because cell phone reception was spotty at best. The venue staff was unable to find the coordinators when they needed them because the walkies apparently weren't often on. 12. Because of all this, the bride was pulled away so often she could not take pre-ceremony photographs with her bridesmaids. 13. Because the ceremony started so late, we ended up having to pay for an extra hour for our photographers and videographer to stay for the events we wanted to have filmed. We followed up with Alexis, and she asserted that they fulfilled their end of the bargain, and she proceeded to blame us for how everything fell apart and accused us of not being organized enough. She also said that enough chairs were at the ceremony site even though this was blatantly untrue, and we can prove it so with photographs and drone footage taken that day. Also, how would she possibly know? She was not there. Nothing changes the fact that the person we had been working with for five months didn't make it to our wedding, sent someone who knew nothing about our wedding to coordinate, and the day-of was chaos when it didn't have to be. Looking through photos of the day brings such mixed emotions. Having no pre-ceremony photographs with bridesmaids is one thing, but seeing pictures of our unfinished ceremony site is a heartbreaking reminder. Those pictures will last forever, as will those memories of a day that did not go as planned due to the poor coordination by Alexis Solano. All we can do at this point is to warn others against working with Alexis Solano Events for something as meaningful or costly as a wedding. If we knew then what we know now, we would have been better off hiring anyone else or just doing it all ourselves.

We immediately clicked and I knew I could trust her with my vision. Not only did Kelly execute the planning incredibly, she also took the reins on coordinating with the rest of our vendors to make sure the day-of went exactly as planned. Kelly was so incredibly thorough and detailed and even put together a contingency plan with us for unlikely but important "what if" scenarios. She kept us on track, answered all of our emails promptly, and knew exactly when we needed to focus on what so we weren't burning out throughout the process. Above everything else, Kelly is a wonderful, kind human being. She radiates kindness and warmth and I'm so glad to have gone through this journey with her. On the day of, Kelly was there for me every second. From holding my train to cueing up our wedding party to seeing all the vendors off, she handled everything beautifully. She also went as far as to find us an on-site dog sitter for our pup! I could not recommend Kismet enough, especially Kelly. We love you, Kismet!

I hired Elsa to help (aka - take over) all wedding decor. She and I exchanged a few emails and she pretty much took it from there! She got my vision and executed against it flawlessly. I met with her in person at the venue walk through where we covered a few remaining details. Words cannot describe what a relief Elsa was! She was at the venue early, already setting up by the time I arrived. She created incredible and unique centerpieces consisting of vintage books, small vases, tea cups, and flower blossoms. She also presented my seating cards in a totally unique way - she hung them from suspended frames. Now if this isn't enough to win you over, Elsa did something that SHOCKED me. Throughout my wedding planning I often felt that my venders were over priced and taking advantage of the fact that I was trying to coordinate my wedding remotely. A few days after my wedding, we were opening the cards we received from the wedding and found one from Elsa. She wrote us a kind note and included a check for a partial refund. In her note she explained that a few of the flowers she purchased for our centerpieces had wilted and she wasn't able to use them. The day of the wedding, I had no idea this was even an issue because everything looked perfect. However, Elsa's honesty is refreshing and I cannot recommend her enough! Thank you Elsa! You made our day perfect!

Our minds were totally at ease the entire day, knowing she would take care of it all. Our reception was located at my parent's home and my hope was that my mom would not feel like she needed to host. At the end of the night, she said she was able to fully focus on being mother of the bride and enjoying herself, knowing it was all taken care of. That's ultimately the strength of having a wedding planner like Talia and I would recommend her to absolutely anyone. Talia went to the event center several weeks before and created a floor plan that was ideal for the party. She made sure every detail was taken care of. From planning beautiful balloons at the entrances, creating the ideal balloon centerpieces, and coordinating the check in tables, Talia made the night a memorable success. On the day of the event, Talia arrived early to make sure that the vendors arrived on time and was there to answer any questions regarding set up. The room looked stunning when we walked in. During the event she made sure that everything ran without a flaw. She checked in all the cell phones, directed our guests and was there to answer any questions that arose. When the event was over, she helped with returning cell phones, passing out treat bags and then she stayed and made sure that the take down was completed. The best part about having Talia at the event is I didn't have to worry about anything that evening. I was able to sit back and celebrate with my daughter, family and friends. I would highly recommend having Talia help you plan any of your events. She is professional, has a great eye for detail and goes above your expectations.
