Hidden gem of Saginaw. Outside looked run down. On my first visit got a pedicure. Comfy massage chairs. But to my biggest surprise, they did eyebrows! I saw another woman get them done while my toes were drying and since I was long overdue decided to give it a shot. I was SO SURPRISED. I've gotten my eyebrows done at so many places and this was BY FAR the best they have looked. I was so impressed and happy with them! Get your eyebrows done here! I will definitely be coming back. The place inside doesn't look the most luxurious and when you get your brows done, you just lean against a pillow against the wall. I went to world nails today with my daughter and granddaughters to get our nails done for my sons wedding. First of all, I wanted my nails an almond shape and they could barely get hem to that shape and they all lined different. My daughters nails were the same and misshapen and then had toy come back to the house and file them. Her toes chipped immediately and had to be repainted while we were still there and then she had to repaint a few of them when she got home. We had to ask for top coat for our toes and ask to have our cuticles trimmed for the manicure and it was extra although we paid for a manicure....so confusing. They told me I couldn't use my credit card and had to go next door and get money out of the ATM. I spent $400 and it was not worth it!!! Do not use this place. read more

I visited here based on other Yelp reviews and unfortunately I am not able to give rave reviews like others. I did not find the person who did my nails attentive. She did not pay attention to detail and I had to make requests for improvements with the work that was done. I feel the work was rushed and I did not think it it could have definitely been cleaner than it was. Went in today to get a pedicure and the water was lukewarm at best. The man cut my toe and the whole pedicure from start to finish was not even 15 minuets. I had a gift certificate I was using that had $24 balance left on it and the pedicure was only $26. They said that I owed $5 more dollars and when I questioned it they said because it was for a processing fee since the gift card was paid with a card....uhm ok??? I didn't say anywhere on the gift certificate that it was paid with a card and I've never had that happen in the past. Then when I paid I gave a $10 bill and she asked if the rest was for a tip, I said no I would like change please. When she brought back my change she stood there waiting for me to give a tip, then asked, are you going to tip him? Bad service, bad customer service, bad everything. Okay, so I've been going to World Nails II in Saginaw, MI on Tittabawassee next to Meijers for at least six years. Recently, I went in for a Shellac manicure and regular pedicure. The reason why I've been rocking with them all these years is because I always thought the lady (owner) and her daughter were kind. I always felt the man, who I believe the owner told me years ago is her brother, was very rude. He doesn't smile, speak, or even acknowledges anyone...and all this while providing a service. Nonetheless, whenever I got ready to get glam and get my nails done, I chose this business because at least one of the owners stood good with me. Despite the fact that I never thought it was the most glamorous, cleanest, or trendiest salon in Saginaw, I valued the customer service I received from the two women in the salon and felt that I could trust them. Normally the owner does my manicure, but on this day the daughter did, and she did a decent job on my pedicure. A few hours after leaving the salon, I noticed my Shellac nail polish wasn't painted all the way down to the cuticle. You could clearly see the bottom of my fingernail bed; it looked awful. And those of you that may or may not know, Shellac is dry before you leave the chair, that's the beauty of getting Shellac over a regular manicure; you don't have to wait for it to dry. I showed my cousin, but by this time we were on our out of town. She suggested I take a picture and give them a call and let them know it looked bad and I was displeased. I took a picture with my smartphone, which stores the date and time, and figured it would be easier to talk to them in person. After getting back, I took time to go in and speak with them, for which I waited 20 minutes. I showed the owner the picture with the date and kindly proceeded to inform her of my unhappiness. This business owner that I once thought was so kind and more professional than her brother, wouldn't even listen to me. In fact, she talked over me and refused to hear me out. She said she didn't care about a date, and her and her daughter asked, "Why didn't you say something and ask me to paint it down further?" So, I was made to feel it was my fault or as if I was looking for a free hand-out. This, after spending my hard-earned money there since 2010, and never once complaining! Granted, I probably should have taken more time to look at my nails and make sure they were right, but I was pressed for time, and this is a place that I had been coming to for years and trusted. Matter of fact, a friend who always has beautiful nails suggested two different spots in Saginaw, but I chose the one I was familiar with instead for this very reason. Regardless, of what I should've have done as a paying customer, as a business owner who valued my six years of service, she should have handled the situation much differently and more professionally. She practically yelled and questioned me in front of her customers. I truly feel cheated out of my $61 dollars including tip, but I made it very clear I would NEVER RETURN TO THEIR FACILITY AGAIN! read more

AWEFUL. I came for a pedi and fill in. Let's start with the pedi. There were 2 ladies who had began theirs before me. We got done at the same time. Massage? Ha. She just applied lotion. Used dremel to remove old polish. Slopped polish all over my feet and my flipflop. The best part was they were wearing skirts and I had to look at their underwear the whole time. I asked for nail art. I chose a sort of cherry blossom design from their display. Very simple rounded petals. I was told she didn't have the color to do it. OK can you do it in a different color? Yes. On to my fill. She didn't have me wash my hands after using the dremel to trim my nails. She didn't even bother to take what she ground off from under my nails. She went up under my real nail while trimming the acrylic and tried to cut because she thought it was loose acrylic! I hand her my VISA card I got as a rebate. She tells me they won't accept it because sometimes it doesn't go thru. Ok..can you try? Nope. So I had to charge. Now when she goes to paint my nails. She or it on SO thick I couldn't do anything for over an hour! And it was so sloppy! And the nail art. .my 5 year old niece has done better. read more

I got a shellac manicure. She did a great job. I sat for awhile with my nails soaking and waited (25-30 mins at least) for someone to get started on me but they were finishing up on other people. Kinda felt like she was trying to run through and finish quickly. I didn't like how the guy used the electric file on my nails as it's not needed for shellac and my nails are sensitive and thin enough as it is, so next time I will make sure to request them not to. But overall, I am pretty satisfied with the young girls job! read more

The owner of the salon assured me that my polish on my acrylics was dry. I go out to my car and 2 of the nails smudged and clumped simply after opening my car door. The shape of my acrylics was awful and they were too wide for my nail bed and made them look worse. First time i went in with my friend and paid $125 for a full set for each of us and within a week we both lost multiple nails. I went in for a fill 2 weeks later and they charged my card twice and refused to give me my money back saying it will return in 2 days. I had nails fall off that time as well and I had a bill come out within that time frame and it overcharged my account and they are refusing to pay my overdraft fee. First time visit here, outside look of the building was questionable but once we had gotten inside it was fairly well decorated and maintained. Floors and pedicure booths were very clean and services were the best we have both had so far!! My "Spa Pedicure" left much to be desired in the massage and relaxation area. I requested a snowflake design for the holidays and was given one covering my entire toe, not a design I will be showing off, to say the least. My acrylic overlay and shellac top was exactly what I asked for, minus the cut down I had also asked for, twice. I had assumed a manicure would have been involved as well, that's what I get for assuming. Overall the work was satisfactory and they were busy. My sister-in-law wanted to get a pedicure and had a bad experience with rude employees at a nail shop at the mall. We were both visiting parents and unfamiliar with shops in the area. We walked in without an appointment. The shop was clean, we were promptly greeted, even though there were four people getting manicures and all employees were busy. They did a good job on the pedicure and were very reasonably priced. I would return when visiting again, no question. read more

This used to be my go to for years until we moved away 5 years ago. . Back in town stopped in . Not as clean as it once was, towels piled in a corner, very cluttered. sink faucet on cold side was broken off and wrapped with tape and the front window sign looked like it had rust between the panes I got pedicure and shellac nails. I realized at home still had callus on side, and cracked skin on heels. And when I went to put on a pair of socks the nails actually snagged on the sock. looking closer 4 of the nails had sharp points on outsides and 2 others were jagged Went back this morning to have them filed and fixed. No sorry, no nothing, My husband was sifting there and was amazed at lack of caring and professionalism. This is not a nail salon I would ever go to again. I went in for a mani/pedi and showed them a pic of nude colored nails with glitter ombré. Instead of nude they slapped goopy white polish on my nails that smeared after I'd had it on for an hour! When asked to fix it, instead of taking off the old messed up polish they just slapped more on top, it's still too tacky to do anything! The woman kept trying to push me into getting schellac on my fingernails even after I said no multiple times. Then she had the nerve to tell me the smearing was MY fault because I didn't opt for schellac! Horrible experience! I got a manicure and after two days, it looked like my nails had been done for over a week. I'd never seen that much chipping in my life after only two days. On the morning of day 3, I returned to the shop and I showed them my nails. The woman replied, "chipping is normal. You should've gotten shellac. I told you to get shellac." I replied that my nails should not be chipping after only two days even without shellac. Keep in mind that she never told me the polish was only supposed to last two days. She continued to say that it was normal. I could tell that she was going to do nothing to fix the mess on my nails so I asked her for nail polish remover so that I could take it off. She told me to take a seat. I thought she would make it right, but after a few minutes of me sitting there, she told me it would be $5 just to remove the polish. I asked her if she was serious. She said "yes, with you, I'm serious." I told her that I could go somewhere else and buy stuff cheaper than that to get the remainder of the nail polish off. She said, "good." I've never experienced anything like that at a nail shop. The customer service was horrible and the product was even worse. I would not recommend this place to anyone. Even if she felt that I was in the wrong, she didn't have to be rude. Trust me, go somewhere else! Very bad experience. I went in to get a fill with shellac polish. I went to check out and she said it was $45 I said I thought fills were $35. She said we had to shorten your nails, in which they charge $4 extra dollar and she said she fixed 4 nails. I said, you didn't fix 4 nails, you fixed 1 nail. She said 3 were lifting. I said, well that's why I'm here for a fill and paying you $35. I said she was overcharging me. She got mad, and starting chatting away saying I didn't appreciate her. It was ridiculous. They overcharge you there for everything. I will never go back. If you go there, please get a quote before your nails are finished and ask them to explain why they are charging more than the standard price. Rude personnel. read more

MY WORST NIGHTMARE!!! I have gotten my nails done at a lot of different salons and this salon was my absolute worst experience. I have had shellac, acrylics with regular polish and acrylics with shellac. When I went to this salon, I had acrylics on that needed a simple fill but the woman insisted that I got a new, full set (way more expensive) and I gave in. Also, she said it would be 25$ total. Normally, when they remove the acrylics, they soak my nails in acetone then remove them or they use a tool to file them super thin then remove the nail. But, this woman started to rip each fake nail off of my nails with a nail clipper. My mom was with me and she was absolutely appalled. She said something several times but the woman insisted it was okay. I had tears down my face. It hurt so bad and it destroyed my nails. So, she had her daughter (who worked there as well) put on my new set with shellac on top. When she finished, they looked beautiful! As we were checking out, the woman said that my total was 50$ (double what she told us when we walked in). I just wanted to get out of there so I did not confront her and I was very satisfied with how my nails looked. It gets worse. Within several hours one of my nails broke!!! I had to drive back to my college and did not have time to fix it. Then, I paid 5$ to fix the nail the next day (so I paid 55$ so far) and the woman at a trustworthy salon that I normally go to told me that my acrylics were done wrong and are way too thin. She said "good luck with those" when I left. WITHIN 6 DAYS OF GETTING MY NAILS DONE AND PAYING 55$, FOUR MORE NAILS BROKE. I was in school and working a lot and it was the biggest stress to find the time and money to get them fixed or removed. I finally got them removed. Well, one of my nails cracked in half and kept bending and popping back into place. This caused my entire natural nail to bruise. It was purple and eventually my actual nail FELL OFF. I have never had a nail fall off in my life and it was horrifying. Then, my raw finger ended up getting an infection. I cannot even put into words what this one set of acrylics had put me through. I still cannot get my nails done yet due to the bruising, raw & infected finger and my fear from the experience overall. This was an absolute nightmare. I never called to get my money back because I just needed this to be over. I just simply want to warn others because I have never had a nail experience so awful, unprofessional and traumatizing. I am not to impressed anymore. I have been going there for over 2 years now. I only get a pedicure there. The time before yesterday the gentleman did my pedicure and it was horrible. Only half my nail was polished on all toes and the polish's luster was very dull and rather thinned out. I believe they mix nail polish remover in with the polish (which everyone does but not over and over). This time that I went I was hoping I would get the young girl as she appears to have an interest in her job and she ran the foot spa and got everything set up for me. The gentleman looks like it takes him every ounce of energy to get over there to do anything. I am really rather distraught with this business and not to sure I will be going back. I have been a generous tipper but it appears to me that it doesn't matter and what does matter is that they get them in and out as fast as possible. I am very unhappy with the gentleman that works there.
