I thought I'd be fine with the lifetime warranty on their sofas. It turns out that there is a lifetime warranty on parts but you still pay for the service. The service charge is equal to the delivery charge which if me is like $250 being in Massachusetts. The store was happy to take my money during the sale but now they won't service me. I asked for some consideration from them and they gave me none. The more local lazboy dealer won't service me since they didn't sell the sofa. I'm stuck with an expensive piece of furniture that's not living up to expectations. Never again.

The negative, is that the prices mimic Boston. Specifically the seaport area. I mean say that they are very expensive. They have people that come in to maintain the products on a regular basis which none of us would have the luxury of doing once a purchase was in our home. Today we came in to look for a power recliner for my mother. Two ladies were working at the time and one of them greeted us. Her name was Christine Farris. Her interest level in working with us was marginal at best. Yet a couple came in she said she had a 4:00pm appointment with and we were an after thought. She was kissing their behinds looking to win their sale; apparently she thought their money was better than ours. At the end of the day we ordered a custom, leather recliner and they left without a decision to be made. Can't judge a book by its cover. All in all the quality of the furniture in here is superior to the other big box shops such as Bobs, Bernie & Phil's or Jordan's. Also feel that since it is a smaller company you have less red tape to deal with if you need to make a claim on it using an extended warranty. I hope to not find out.

The logistics manager Dean showed me that its paperwork shows that it used to be a display in the old, closed down Ethan Allen that is literally over the town line on the street I live on. I guess it wanted to come home. The designer Verlie was very nice to me and didn't make me feel like a scavenger for discount shopping. The Ethan Allen company could learn a lot from this location.

It did not come with leather pillows, as we were told by our sales lady that it would, so the owner made it right by having four fabric pillows of our choice made for us. Three months after having the sofa, the white leather on one of the cushions started wearing away. I emailed the owner, and he is promptly replacing the entire cushion at no charge. I just hope that we do not notice this issue on other pieces of the sofas, as we did not purchase the extended warranty. Comfy, handsome furniture. I enjoyed shopping here and the customer service is tremendous. I will buy fro here again, although the prices are high.

And mind you I'm not asking for help just to check out. Their bad attitudes actually surpass the ridiculous prices other people have mentioned. And the amazing thing is it doesn't matter who is working - they all have the same lousy attitude toward customers. It must be part of the employee training.
