Ok folks .... Reading my gripe, you may come to the conclusion that I'm making a mountain out of a molehill.... we are all very aware that there are some great deals to be had at the dollar store . But, anyway here goes........ I shop here often and on the whole it's always been great.... Until today. I have purchased a boxed "6 pack" of Global Brand snack crackers countless times. They are individually wrapped boxed, and sealed in packs of 6 just as it reads on the package .. The outside of the box reads: Snak-Time - Snack Pack 6 pack.... Which being considered literate, denotes that a package of "6" is a pack including 6 and only 6... Right????. For anyone who hasn't had these, they are basically a generic Ritz cracker ..and they are delicious. Individually wrapped packages perfect to take to work. So, today I went in for my usual haul only to find that the seal on each box had been removed . I thought that's very strange.... No matter because each pack - similar to several other snacks there are wrapped well. I brought the few boxes I was buying to the check out only to see the cashier scanning each one separately... Of course I stopped him as I am absolutely NOT paying for 6 small packages within a clearly marked " 6 pack' of crackers to the tune of $6.00.... He said that that's the price....I pointed out - look at the box. I've been buying these for years in the same box - sealed. Where is your manager? Of course nowhere to be found... I just got to the point where it just wasn't worth dealing with it. .. I mean on top of that, there were several angry looking men standing in line without masks on... with absolutely no social distancing. No marking of where to stand, etc. Nothing! And NO ONE said anything... And I mean several people standing way too close waiting to check out - where were the required masks ? How safe..... NOT! I decided that from this day on to furgo shopping at this location... And I'm also considering reporting what I saw & also the pricing issue to the state. Outrageous!!! read more

Favorite store for sure!!!!! Has everything and anything I Could possibly need down to kids stuff even bought my centerpieces for my wedding here! But cleaning supplies and the Nick-Naks and the pictures/home decor are so cute! And EVERYTHINGS $1 Dollar! read more

I was already infatuated by the Dollar Tree store next to Fuddrucker's in Methuen. But I will tell you, in one word, why this one's better: Food. Yes, this Dollar Tree has a refrigerator case, full of hot dogs, sandwich meats, cheeses, frozen tacos, bacon, and God knows what else, all for $1 each. Imagine purchasing a week's worth of lunches for work, at a whopping 3 bucks. No bread? No problem; I'm sure they have some crackers to go with the ham, turkey and cheese you just bought. Kind of like a Lunchables, but for grownups. Recently I stopped into this location after work, and bought a bag of chips, a can of chilli, and a bag of shredded Sargento cheese. Build yourself some nachos, 1:30 in the microwave, drench in Tobasco sauce and serve with a Fosters oil can. You've had worse things in your mouth, or if you haven't, you haven't lived. This store has a moderate selection of items, and it's in a great location for where I normally shop. The store is usually a bit messy and cluttered but I can still find what I need. I only come here for specific dollar items I am looking for. read more

Dollar Tree has been a disaster lately. Inside, items are thrown about in the aisles and when not on the shelf, aisles are impassible. I've heard a crew is supposed to stock shelves before the store opens or after hours. What gives? Today, the parking lot is an absolute mess. There's no excuse for empty styrofoam containers, candy wrappers, empty dog food cans, vomit, and garbage all over the parking lot. I barely missed the broken glass that nobody bothered cleaning up! Lucky...I didn't get a flat tire or I'd send the bill to the company. All the Dollar Tree stores have been playing a "bait and switch" game. They've kept their pricing the same, but ounces have diminished greatly over the last several years. I remember when there was a large bottle of mouthwash and much larger bottles of cleaning supplies. If you match the ounces to the pricing of the known brands at regular stores, you'd learn that just because the price is $1. at Dollar Tree, you're still getting second rate products and less ounces, not quite the bargain you think it is. The store muckies love the penny-wise and pound foolish shoppers, and are hoping that nobody notices! read more

So ask yourself - a small decent store with one open aisle and one pathetic little Sales Associates who does not know what to do say or how to help. No matter how attractive those plastic-y "steals" appear to be - the net result is that you will end up paying more in blood, toil, tears, and sweat (not to mention energy, emotions, entropy and e-everything!) before you leave the store.
