I stumbled upon ABC RC & Hobbies entirely by accident. Being the type that can't pass a hobby shop without checking it out, in I went! The shop is small and the selection is restricted by the space, but they seemed to have the most popular and indemand items in stock. As with all small hobby shops these days, they can order anything for you and have it in hand by the end of the week - assuming you order early enough. The staff seemed friendly and well versed in their products and in RC in general. Friendly staff is not something common to Hobby shops. They tend to take on a very closed mentality and aren't terribly welcoming to new customers or unfamiliar faces. So this was good to see. Prices were inline with other shops in the area. This is due largely to the fact that most distributors require a minimum advertised price. So you'll always see the same price on the same item regardless of what shop you frequent. The trick, as most hobbyists know, is to ask if they can do better. You might save a few bucks. Especially if you're a frequent customer. Most small shops have short lives. I hope these guys are still around the next time I head back up north. They looked like they were on the right track. read more

I used to do business with a very nice shop in Nashua that is now closed due to the retirement of the owner. I was hoping that this shop would be a good substitute. Unfortunately, this shop is a disappointment. I've stopped by this shop a couple of times. They have a limited amount of retail space, but did have quite a bit of stock. The store could use better lighting. It's a little dark which makes it more challenging to find what you're looking for. They carry ARF airplanes, and a limited supply of glow engines in addition to electric power plants if you are into battery powered flight. The shop also deals in RC cars. The only radios I saw were Spektrum brand.. I fly RC airplanes that are powered by several European brand glow engines. These engines are built to run on 0% or 5% nitro fuel, which this store does not stock. I've asked them 3 times if they could order fuel for me. Each time, they took my contact info but never contacted me. When I inquire, they just repeat the process as if they've never spoken with me before. This week, I finally resorted to buying my fuel directly from the manufacturer from which this shop gets its fuel. The online order placement was easy and efficient. They accept PayPal and I had my fuel in less than a week. I'm pretty sure I won't be buying anything from ABC RC in the future. Sadly, I'm pretty sure they won't miss me at all. read more

After replacing the batteries, the RC truck worked amazingly well until the motor no long move the wheels. Took it into the shop, and the mechanic quickly diagnosed the issue and replaced the spur gear. Awesome business and staff. Highly recommended and will definitely be back. read more

These guys are great. They are a smaller hobby shop in Derry , N.H.. They have a decent selection of r.c. car and plane parts and models. Its not so much the store itself that is so great, but the service and knowledge of the employees. They are willing to go out of their way for the customer. My boys and I got into RC again after a few year hiatus. These guys have been great, from answering questions to suggesting the right products. We are now semi-regulars there. Very friendly and always willing to help you out. I also love that they NEVER pressure you to buy something - be it a new model, an upgrade, etc. They will inform you and let you make a decision. This place is amazing, they are helpful, have a great selection and a much bigger store now that they moved two stores over and have an assortment of fun toys at reasonable prices. Wanted to check this place out. Looked at website and even called their number and got a message (after hours) to verify hours of operation. Arrived a bit before they opened. Sat about 10 minutes. Saw someone drive up and leave. Got out and found there was a sign that they would be closed for days to attend a show. I would think a good and responsible would place an update on their website or at the VERY least on their phone message stating they wouldn't be open rather than someone having to drive to the store to realize they are not doing business. I was looking to make a purchase. They lost a sale and potential customer. read more

ABC has been in the same location for several years. From what I can access, they were selling to the heli , modeler, and car market, with some plane interest scattered in. Over the last year or so, the plane portion of their business appears to have become an equal partner with models, cars, heli's to which i'm very happy about as I'm primarily a plane person. When RC Buyers of Nashua closed their doors, ABC was quick to fill the void. Their staff is great, knowledgable and easy to work with, they have a repair department that is always full of customers toys that have met with some issue that the owners needed assistance with. Lucky for me I have not needed their service department yet, but it's nice to know it's there. Last year (i think) they expanded their operation into a significantly larger suite in the same building on RT. 28 in Windham. I'm heading there now to see if they have a header pipe for my DLE 61. It's that kind of shop, you may find that "thing" you need without the need to wait for the UPS man next week. If they don't have it, in most cases they will order it for you and have it within a week. I'm happy they are their and doing well. I don't want another local shop closing their doors because of pressure from the internet. read more

Possibly the worst customer service I have ever endured. After purchasing a new RC car that does not work, the father and son who own ABC RC were extremely rude and unhelpful. They are arrogant and quick to blame their customers for issues with their products. I would never go back to this store and recommend others spend their hard earned money elsewhere. read more
