It's a family run business where the service is always exceptional and I always feel that when I walk in I may be tired and haggard looking, but when either Jay or Justin have finished working their magic, I feel years younger and I'm rejuvenated. Recently I began growing a beard and I am loving the hot towel treatment that I'm getting every time I come in for a trim! I called up my girlfriend to inquire as to where her beau gets his 'dos done and she mentioned New Roc Barbering & Hairstyling. We drove up after lunch in the area and there was no wait. Two stylists were on staff and they have plenty of seating, a television to watch while you wait your turn and lots of magazines to keep you occupied. Our nephews are 11 and 16 and both were able to verbalize exactly what they wanted. Both stylists listened to the boys and they looked great after their cuts. The place is clean, as they sweep up between customers. They have a bathroom in the back (lightswitch is on the outside to the right, FYI) that is kept nice and clean as well and is pretty large. I believe they have about four chairs for customers and their hours are convenient. As per tradition, they're closed on Mondays. They have a very small parking lot that requires some maneuvering in order to exit. I spotted a few people parking in the lot next door when this lot got a little packed. It's a very professional, quiet environment and I felt very comfortable compared to some of the other shops to which I've accompanied hubby. The boys were satisfied with their haircuts.

Complete waste of the customer's time. _____________________________________________________________ I am updating this review after receiving a response from the owner. There was apparently a family emergency and the barber did not come to work that day. I would ask: if there is an issue and the shop cannot open, please just say you are closed, so that the customer can get a haircut elsewhere. Asking a customer to come back, after which the shop is still closed and not answering its phone, is really not right.
