I was given espresso and biscuits and the barber went down to work. As we converse, he also worked on the shape up, never forgetting to take out the mirror for me to see the results. What sets it apart from most barbershops in White Plains, which were mostly urban and working class, is the setting with a brick wall facing the barber chairs and mostly catering to a middle class clientele, but there is no competition whatsoever between the shop and others as far as I know. Sometimes, I just need to get pampered for lack of a better word. One of these days, a shave would be nice, but I am in no rush at the moment!

She cut my hair with meticulous attention to detail within the hour (mind you, my hair was more than halfway down my back and very thick) and at the end, said she would only charge me $45. I definitely left a tip, but the service at this salon is great, and the value is unbeatable for this area. I'll definitely be coming back to Central for my future cuts.
