Jack's is the best barbershop I have ever been to in my entire life; I've been a customer for 19 years coming every 3 weeks for a haircut and a beard trim. Before I lived in Westchester County, I used to go to Astor Place Barbershop in Manhattan which wasn't horrible but nothing comes close to Jacks. My first 10 years I had Jack and the past 9 I've had Eli, his brother. Couldn't be happier and truly don't know what I'd do for a professional, clean, customized, affordable cut in a friendly setting if this place didn't exist. read more

Jacks barber shop is a quaint little barber shop located in Larchmont NY. I love going to this place because I can make my appoint in advance and they are quick and reliable. The staff are super friendly from Joe, Ely, Jack, Mia and all the rest. It's a friendly business with many regulars. I always come out looking like a million bucks. It's great to be able to get a haircut and chat it up with other customers and barbers about sports and food to name a few. Terrible, they ruined my hair. They made it to short. I told them to stop but they kept sniping.

Came here at the recommendation of a friend and sure enough, it's a great place for a man (or boy) to get a haircut. In the few times I've been here, I've seen 60 year old guys get the old standard haircut, young boys with their parents get trimmed and millennials get those silly haircuts they think are cool. Just wait until you hit 40, look back at the pictures of yourself and wonder who came up with today's styles. Anyway, you want to look like you lost a bet, that's your choice. Well run & pleasant place to get your haircut. Quick & competent. Post-Covid prices went up a little, which they deserve. All the cutters are competent, but everybody has their favorite. They keep some canaries (caged!) in the back of the shop and the tweeting is a charming addition to the background conversation. Five almost six years later and Jack's continues to provide the best haircuts in the TRISTATE area. I would feel comfortable getting my haircut by any of the barbers there. Jack's Barbershop has all the great vibes of a neighborhood barbershop and it's the place to debate sports, talk world news, and get a fresh cut. 15 years. I've mostly used Eli, who is a skilled pro and very pleasant. My hair is not easy, I can be fussy and I'm usually busy. He gets me in and out quickly, but I never feel rushed. Huge fan. The whole family there is spectacular. I walk in and feel like Norm walking into Cheers. Everyone here really does know my name. They do an excellent job- adults, kids, huge hair, almost bald (that's me)- none of it matters. They do a great job with everyone! My 5 boys and I probably get more than 50 cuts a year at Jack's - never a complaint! I have been getting my haircut at Jacks for at least a decade. The barbers are all Russian-American and are skilled professionals. Eddie is the funniest barber there if you like to laugh. I personally go to Eli exclusively and he does a wonderful job on my problematic hair. I enjoy the ambience and love the atmosphere of a men's barbershop as opposed to a metrosexual salon where you get ripped off. The guys at Jack's are all great. They're funny, friendly, and very personable. In the many years that up have been getting my haircut there, I have only had one mishap that was easily fixable (one sideburn slightly longer than the other), and they were more than happy to do so. The prices are super fair and the atmosphere there is great. I've never been there for an excessive amount of time, and even on my longer stays I am in no rush to get out because of how comfortable I feel. They guys are also great at remembering your style and even recommending newer, fresh cuts if you so desire. Work on kids and adults is equally good!! read more

It's shame about this place. I've gotten great haircuts there from Jack, the owner, and from Gary, one of the barbers. Both guys do a great job and have very good customer service skills. The last time I went there, however, some of the other barbers were engaged in some very unpalatable behavior. They were getting rowdy and carried away with themselves, showing each other provocative images of women on their phones, opining on whether their anatomies had been augmented, and teasing each other about who was who's boyfriend. Extremely distasteful stuff, and particularly unacceptable in light of the current movement exposing the lack of dignity given to women. Jack the owner was not present that day. I would doubt that they would have behaved this way if he were there. I understand that Jack may no longer work there, or may be away from the place for a time. In any case, I've decided not to go back. After all, this is an establishment where mothers and fathers bring their children. There should be decorum. It should not be a place where boys can learn to be sexists and homophobes. read more
