First of all, let's address the frosty reception of the owner/ manager. She ignores you upon…read morearrival then finally acknowledges you with a dirty look. Your appointment time isn't honored. You wait almost 45 minutes for your stylist. Meanwhile, there is a time limit on the meter. Tick tock. You explain to the stylist that you do not want flat hair and that your hair doesn't do well with excessive heat styling. You also explain that you want a side swept look for the front. She doesn't listen to you and she needs to touch up your cut afterwards. She also blow dries the crap out of your hair making you look like a wet dog. Your hair is so flat that you immediately spray dry shampoo in the roots as soon as you get into the car, then mist it with your facial spray just to get SOME body into it. Upon leaving your parking spot and putting your wipers on, are two parking tickets. So now I have parking tickets, flat hair, and aggravation...ALSO LATE FOR WORK! NEVER AGAIN. AND I MEAN NEVER.

The second time we went back, for the same scheduled spa shave, he received a quick electric shave. He never had that before and imagine his shock, surprise, and sting his face experienced when the man slapped aftershave on him. We explained to the woman in the front that was not the service we booked. My son wasn't comfortable enough to tell the man because he could understand the older gentleman and didn't want to be disrespectful. The point we tried to make with the woman is the service booked wasn't provided. She kept saying that we paid less anyway and would give our money back. We didn't want our money back or to argue but wanted them to be more considerate when providing a service. They should look at the service that the client booked. She was sharp and curt and it was pointless to continue. We received a review from the business that my mom had completed for me. Simple, nothing rude but not recommending the business because they don't carefully make sure a client gets the service they book. WELL don't send for feedback if you can't control your feelings when you don't like the feedback! NOPE!! We would not recommend this business to ANYONE and there are far too many of men's salons to enjoy without the attitude! Attached is the review sent from the salon and the impulsive response and if the owner reads this, it's not about the money, it's about how someone makes you feel.

Since there weren't any customers, the gentleman who was there by himself was able to cut my hair right away. As he breezed through cutting my hair like he's been doing this for years, he asked me where I usually get my hair cut. After mentioning a few places that I have been to, everything became a bit awkward when he started trash talking one of the places that I mentioned. All in all, he did a decent job as I didn't leave with any razor burn or nicks. The prices are fair and there is plenty of street parking.

My usual barber Astrit was on vacation at the time so the folks recommended me a barber whose name I could not remember except that he shared Astrit's heritage. I was given espresso and biscuits and the barber went down to work. As we converse, he also worked on the shape up, never forgetting to take out the mirror for me to see the results. What sets it apart from most barbershops in White Plains, which were mostly urban and working class, is the setting with a brick wall facing the barber chairs and mostly catering to a middle class clientele, but there is no competition whatsoever between the shop and others as far as I know. Sometimes, I just need to get pampered for lack of a better word. One of these days, a shave would be nice, but I am in no rush at the moment!

For the past 3 years I've been going to his barber Will and in the past month I don't if something has happened in Will's personal life but he has been rude, unprofessional, and hostile to say the least. We had an issue with the appointment service that Royalty Chop Shop uses. I called the shop 3 times, six hours before my appointment, all calls sent to voicemail. I called and texted Will, no answer. I even called and texted the owner Alex, with no answer. Even when I rescheduled online, I called again to try and confirm my appointment was to be rescheduled for the next day. Still no answer. When I called the next day, they confirmed the shop was closed and rescheduled, then hung up. They then called me back to tell me to reschedule again, wanting to charge me for a second time. After telling them the many times I called, Will jumped on the phone and told me that he is a busy man and it's not his job to pick up clients phone calls or text. When I told him that I called the shop he said it wasn't his job and since I was his only client that had a problem with their software that I can find another barber. I haven't received my refund and I called Alex and left messages countless times. I'll find another barber, but if this is the type of business you're going to run with short tempered young kids that don't have good communication skills and bring personal problems to work and take them out on paying customers then you will fail.
