As the guests began to arrive, they helped to greet everyone and it was both causal and formal at the same time as the staff passed around breakfast pastries for our brunch and refilled mimosas for everyone to grab upon arrival. When it came time to move into the next room for brunch, one of the two waiters working with us that day made the announcement and helped to guide everyone to their tables. The tables were set up beautifully! We chose to have the "mismatched tea cups" instead of the white ones and every guest commented how adorable and unique they were. The waiters brought a box of assorted tea bags over for each person to choose and everyone loved it! Originally, I planned to use the silk flowers as the centerpieces for the tables, but we upgraded to fresh cut. Even the silk flowers were beautiful and elegant- Corrine has beautiful taste in every piece of decor. Throughout the entire event everyone kept asking how I found out about The Tiffany Juliet House. Everyone was so impressed with the amazing service, the attention to detail ( the light fixtures, the carpet, the window treatments, molding- everything is beautiful inside). I cannot thank Corrine and her team enough for helping to make my friend's bridal shower such a wonderful and memorable event for everyone. The scones were delicious, tasted home made and the jams and creams were equally tasty. The sandwiches were okay, a little dry but the deserts were just as good as the scones. My only beef about the whole experience was that they used Stash tea bags for the afternoon tea. I mean anyone could buy those tea from the supermarkets. If you go to a place designated for afternoon tea, you would expect at least some loose leaf teas allowing the customers to smell, appreciate, and enjoy all the different tea flavors. If they had loose leaf tea, it would elevate the whole experience ten fold. Also, they had some sort of punch on the side, with no explanation and the punch pitcher did not work so guests couldn't really enjoy it until the very end. The house can host two parties, one on the second floor and the other one on the main floor. The owners live in the same building. There are plenty of parking at the house and also across the street because the owners own that too.

Many of our 55 guests remarked on the venue, and how stylish it was. We began the evening with cocktails and a jazz trio on The Roof, and then moved into the air conditioning in The House for dinner and dancing with an 11 piece band. Our guests continued to use The Roof when they needed a break from the band. The food was also excellent. Many of our guests remarked on its quality, including some who had their own catering businesses. We found Bridget Ann and Kaelan very easy to work with, and there were no last minute surprises. The staff was friendly and competent. All of our needs were anticipated, the costs were as advertised, and the evening went off without a hitch. We could not be happier with out choice to have our event at The Village with Bridget Ann and Kaelan.

We had our ceremony outside in the backyard and the reception in the reception hall. Other venues charged extra when it came to details like these, but Martin's main priority was to make us happy and it definitely showed. Throughout the day, he would come up to us and make sure everything was going well and we didn't have any complaints. Our maitre d' Lauren was also fantastic! From setting up the venue hall to going over our rehearsal with family and friends involved to also making sure things went smoothly, she was a great help. My bridal attendant (I'm sorry I forgot her name!) always made sure I was okay and took care of me, my food and drinks, and my dress. All parties made sure my husband and I were well fed - something that we heard from other friends that got married that they missed out on. We held our tea ceremony (Chinese tradition during weddings) in the bridal suite upstairs. If the bridal party decides to get ready there, there is definitely an ample amount of space for everyone to be comfortable. I had about 20 family members in the suite during this time and it didn't feel cramped. Someone that was in charge of bringing the tea for the ceremony forgot to bring the tea, so my bridesmaids quickly ran down to Lauren and she took care of getting us tower water boiler, tea packets, and several mugs since the amount we brought weren't going to be enough to accommodate the time before heading back down for the start of the reception. The venue itself is beautiful. The layout of the backyard (if you plan to hold an outdoor ceremony) is inviting and you also pass by an elegant waterfall/fountain which made a beautiful backdrop in pictures. The bar was located in the lobby which was good in-between for the cocktail reception area and the reception hall. We had no complaints regarding the venue itself and received many praises for choosing a great venue. The FOOD was a big big plus - we received many compliments stating that this venue was some of the few locations that served quality food (they have their own kitchen in the back so nothing is delivered from outside) To Martin, Lauren, my bridal attendant, the chefs, waiters, set up/break down crew, THANK YOU ALL SO MUCH for such a smooth and memorable day. Chairs were comfortable, and the fountain in the background created a lovely atmosphere and photo opportunity. The one critique I have is that no covering such as a gazebo or tent, was insight and thunderstorms were eminent. If I could recommend anything to the management, it would be to have this option on hand to avoid distractions from the actual ceremony. When thunder crackled in the background, we secretly hoped that the service would come to an end in time. Everyone was dressed in evening attire, so a gazebo or tent would have been appreciated. We were not inside more than 15 minutes when the skies did open up. Catastrophe averted. With the exception of one server who spilled wine on my son's newly pressed shirt, Service was meticulous. In the case of the red wine incident, this could have been averted by wrapping the wine bottle appropriately in a service linen. A little more training in this area would be recommend recommended. All in all, a solid four star event. The filet mignon, French green beans, and magnificent desserts were a five star Cleverly, our hosts prepared and end to the night with a coffee station and Donuts cleverly hanging on Hooks. The donuts were exceptional. It's difficult to rate without knowing the cost per person so I am limiting my rankings beginning with a five star and deducting minimally for a couple of challenges in service. For a restaurant at this price point, I would have expected a more interesting mocktail selection. My husband did order a cocktail that he really enjoyed. We started with the lobster and shrimp tacos, which were probably my favorite thing of the night. They were absolutely delicious--I could have eaten five more! That said, $28 for three very small tacos felt a little steep. For my entrée, I had the Camarones al Ajillo ($36). The flavor was great, but there weren't many shrimp and mine were unfortunately a bit overcooked. I also found a hair on my food, which was obviously disappointing. My husband had the Paella Clasico, which was delicious and a much better portion. We also shared the Son Cubano fried rice, and that was AMAZING--another standout of the meal. As we got closer to the wedding, Ralph became our main point of contact and he was our Maitre'D. He was incredibly communicative, practical, and reassuring. He helped us work through the last-minute changes and was always focused on finding a solution. We originally chose Whitby Castle because having an outdoor ceremony on the grounds was part of our dream. Unfortunately, due to an intense heatwave, we moved the ceremony indoors at the last minute. I was nervous that it would not have the same feeling, but the space felt elegant, intimate, and beautiful, and our photographs still captured everything we loved. There were a few hiccups throughout the day as well, but the venue including Ralph and Rosa (bridal attendant) remained accommodating and worked well with every one of our vendors to keep things moving. They took care of us that day in moments where no one else was paying attention, and we are eternally thankful to them for that. The outside terrace is very nice as we are on the Broad Channel causeway. The only downside was I didn't bring my jacket with me, and a strong breeze hit my back as we finished. The other downside was the restaurant allowed smoking on the terrace in designated sections which isn't good for me because of asthma, and it is taking away from the taste of my food. The service was very slow, although the staff was friendly and cordial with many old time customers coming here on a standard basis. I was thinking they may have gone fishing to get our seafood plate together! The bathrooms were clean and there is valet parking on the premises. The bill was not paid by me but by my cousin and was well over $200.00 for the four of us. It's unfortunate that my food was cold and there is nothing to make up for the slowness of the staff. When we arrived, the outside was full of people but few staff and I believe there was a party taking place in the banquet hall and either there weren't enough servers or chefs to accommodate them both for the food to take so long and be cold.
