Lord, why didn't I read the reviews before taking my daughter here. I'm so glad I took her for the holiday 1/2 day camp because if I'd have signed her up for a membership, I'd be pissed. We already had to get up early because the camp was from 8am-12pm. Although I have to facilities near my home, I chose this one because of the history. 12-27-24.. walk in..the young lady at the desk greeted us and told us to go upstairs. But when we got up there..no one was out there manning the sign in sheets. So if you weren't smart enough to just find your child's name and sign her in, you'd be lost. Go in the room..no GM..Hello..Welcome..NOTHING.. I said..GM..silence..I repeated myself, GM..oh GM they chimed in. Then we're just standing there. I said sooo do she just walk in, what is she supposed to do. Oh just put your stuff over there in the cubey. Because I was working, I kissed my daughter and said I'd see her at 12pm. Come back at 12pm, again no nothing. I'm just standing there. A guy playing a big connect 4 with a child finally looks up, parent pick up? Yes.. My baby just so happened looks up and sees me. There was no, thank you for coming..we did this..she did that..see you again..NOTHING!! The icing on the cake was, my daughter asked me could she get a cookie, they had snacks on the table. I said yes, but when she comes back out, no cookie. I said what happened, she said they told her no. I was done then.. A Cookie??? I don't know who this gym really belongs to, but I wouldn't have ANY of these rude folks representing me. And by the years and months of these reviews, this is their norm. I'm so disappointed in this place. And she was upset when I told her she wasn't going back. I don't spend my money with these type of people who don't even have the common curtesy to acknowledge you or communicate with you. I definitely wouldn't have my name attached to it. Never again. The 1 star is for my baby because she did say she had fun.

My son loves the warrior class. It gets some much needed energy release taken care of! He learns to take turns, be kind, and it gets him off the Xbox! Its a super clean facility and the staff is super!

    No deadline...

Only interested in BUSINESS and $$$! My daughter tried out for the competition a few months back team. She's new to gymnastics but gave it a try. The coaches were great during try-outs. However, we never received word on whether she made it. After calling and asking, we were rudely told by Laura that we "should have gotten an email". Well, we didn't, so all she had to do was answer my question which seemed like the most difficult thing at the time. My daughter didn't make it but is working her way to improve and learn what she needs to - all great lessons and no complaints there. Fast forward a few months, my daughter was excited to tell me about summer showcase for recreational classes and gave me a flyer. She's been practicing the routine for a couple of months now. Coach Maddie has been great with her. When I searched for the registration online (because yes there is a charge for everything) it was not there - only the June 17th showcase for the competition girls. I called, and my friend Laura of course "helped" me. "That registration closed - we're already past the deadline" she says. I explained the flyer didn't have a deadline. She again told me an email went out. I'm not sure what it takes to get on this email list, but I have once again not received their email or been informed of a deadline that is clearly not posted on the flyer. I remained calm and had my husband call to see if there's anything that can be done - he's much nicer than me. He spoke to a manager who is much friendlier than Laura. But, again they've already ordered trophies, so no room - not even a waiting list in case someone bails or gets sick. They were not flexible or understanding at all, and they will not even acknowledge there's a flaw in their communication system. They steadily draft my money every month, so why would they need to have good communication or customer service with me? So, disappointing because my daughter loves it and sees her friends there. World Champions Centre - please improve your customer service and train your people on the front lines to be kinder - it goes a long way.

The first day we came in we actually saw Simone and my daughter was super excited because she is her favorite gymnast.

Just as everything is bigger in Texas, I was told that everything in Houston is bigger up north…read more The latter seems to apply to this Cypress Academy location, which is based in The Woodlands. It's a massive gym chock full of top notch facilities, ideal for all kinds of activities, games, and obviously, gymnastics. (#1) While most places look bigger on the outside, Cypress Academy has the opposite effect. It looks like a big venue but it looks even bigger upon entrance. The place is spacious, well-maintained, and large enough to get lost. It's super kid friendly with dedicated child care evenings, day camps, and the destination for birthday parties. With clean bathrooms, substantial parking, and dedicated areas for private groups, it feels like a no-brainer venue to host large gatherings. The staff is young and good about enforcing rules for all (#2) and are very professional. They're good about explaining the various events they have going on throughout the season, really in tune with the youngins, and are welcoming and attentive to folks coming through the facility. There are multiple locations of Cypress Academy throughout the Houston area, but unsurprisingly, they're all in the north. ___________ (#1) Something I know next-to-nothing about. EVERY Friday: kids, "can we got to Friday night fun…read morenights???" After pick up, "how was it?" Kids, "so much fun!!!" and then Zzzzzzzzz's because they're so tired!

We attended a trial class for our two daughters, and they enjoyed it so much that we decided to…read moreenroll. Unfortunately, the experience after that was extremely frustrating. The enrollment process was confusing from the beginning. Most communication came through an automated text system that repeatedly stated someone would contact me, but getting clear answers was very difficult. We provided all requested information, received tuition details, and repeatedly tried to confirm enrollment and class times. Eventually, my husband was told that our daughters should arrive at 5:30 PM. We drove approximately 40 minutes to the gym, completed registration, paid for the classes, and I specifically asked the front desk whether my daughters could begin training at that time. I was told yes. My daughters joined the class, completed warm-ups, and moved on to the next training activity with the rest of the group. About 17 minutes later, they were suddenly pulled out of the class and told that their actual class time was 6:30 PM. What makes this situation difficult to understand is that my children did not enter the wrong class on their own. We arrived at the time we were given, checked in, completed payment, and I personally confirmed with the front desk that they could start training. Multiple staff members, including the coaches, saw them participating in class. Yet the solution was to remove two young children after they had already started. When I approached the front desk, expecting at least a simple apology for the confusion, I received none. Instead, I was repeatedly told that our class time was 6:30 PM, as if that somehow explained what had happened. The supervisor's response was no different. No apology. No acknowledgment that a mistake had been made. No attempt to take responsibility for the situation. What upset me most is that this review would probably not exist if someone had simply said, "We're sorry, we made a mistake." Mistakes happen. What matters is how they are handled. Instead, I was left feeling as though I was being blamed for following the instructions given by their own staff. My daughters were excited to be there. After being removed from a class they had already joined, they were confused, upset, and in tears. At that point, I requested a refund and decided not to continue. The coaches seemed great during the trial class, and my daughters genuinely enjoyed gymnastics. Unfortunately, the lack of communication, accountability, and basic customer service completely overshadowed that positive experience. I cannot recommend this facility to other parents.

You will want to come here if you want your child to excel in Cheerleading on a competitive level. So far, all my experiences have been fantastic! The facility is amazing and all the staff have been wonderful. I am so impressed! My 5 year old daughter is enrolled in Tiny Show Team (Troopers), Tumbling, and Flyer Class. She loves it so much and look forward to going to all her classes every week. :) Shout out to her 4 coaches CJ, Sydney, Brynlee and Kennedy from the Trooper team for being awesome leaders and holding down the group. They are doing a great job keeping the little girls together and working on their cheer forms. It can be challenging at this age group but they do it so well. Highly recommend and do take advantage of the private lessons with CJ. My daughter learned so much from CJ from just one hour of specific skills from different areas of cheerleading. Impressive!! Beginner Tumbling with Dre S. was amazing! Luckily, with just a short amount of time; my daughter excelled to the Front and back walker class within weeks of enrollment. Coach Dre S. is a great coach and my daughter learned so much and very quickly from his class. It shows with results. :) We just started Flyer Class with Kirsten and it has been great so far. I can see the improvements already with body control, strength and flexibility. I feel like for any beginners; this is a great class to take to improve in balance, strength and conditioning. Lastly, having a birthday party at Woodlands Elite is always a great idea! ;) It is an awesome place for a "CHEER" theme birthday. They have great package deals with 1 month free tumbling for the birthday child and comes with free goodie bags for the party kiddos. We were lucky to have Coach Wes, Ariana and Tyson to help out with the party entertainment (which includes Cheer, Tumbling and Games). Thank you for making sure we had a great celebration and being so accommodating!! You guys rock :) A+ review :) :) and 100 kudos to the whole WE staff !!
