Initially, I went through a couple hiring agencies and landed two jobs that I would have taken as an absolute, last resort, but thankfully Patrick from West Coast Careers called me after I sent in my resume. He was so incredibly helpful and professional. To get straight to the point, getting in contact with West Coast was the best thing that could have happened to me in my job hunt. Following my initial contact with Patrick, I went in there for a brief interview and he immediately set me up with 3 interviews for the following week. All of the jobs were salaried and with exceptional companies, and he really took into account my skill set to determine which companies I would fit best with. Every day Patrick checked in with me, gave me tips on how to interview, as well as giving me the idea of putting together a binder which, in addition to my resume, included all of my past achievements and awards in my professional career. I felt like he really aided me in setting myself apart from potential competition. Ultimately, he gave me added confidence in knowing I was thoroughly prepared and completely capable of landing a good job. Sure enough, I landed one of the positions and was seriously contemplating accepting it. After asking around, all other contract employees with a JD were making $12 an hour more than I was. Kibby thinks this is fine since I was ultimately offered the job, but it's a job that wasn't close to what I was looking for, it's essentially call center work (which Kibby promised it would NOT be.), and after 6 months, because Kibby short changed me, I had made $12,480 less than all my peers with JDs. It's been over a year since I used ESP, my experience still bothers me when ESP comes up in conversation. People with less experience and less degrees coming from different recruiters all made more than me. I can't recommend avoiding Kibby and ESP strongly enough. UPDATE: After skimming the other reviews, people who are full white seem to have done better than me with Kibby and ESP.

After a disastrous flake out with previous movers, I have to give the guys we hired from Labor…read moreReady some credit for being able to move us on short notice -- we contacted them at 530am and they arrived at our house at 9am same day. So these guys helped us out in a desperate situation and I will give them that. Unfortunately, hiring movers from Labor Ready was not rosy thereafter. Two movers took 8 hours to move a 3 bedroom house. To their defense, our packing job could have been better but in the past I've hired movers off craigslist who were not intimidated by a few odds and ends to move here and there. Well, these guys were. Plus they were really struggling with the whole move. They would sit there and talk to each other and slow poke around. Additionally, some of our upholstered furniture which was ivory in color ended up black. I think that was the most painful part since it required us to spend a few hundred dollars getting our furniture pieces cleaned professionally, and what gets me is THESE GUYS EVEN HAD PLASTIC WRAP which I requested for these furniture pieces alone! I realize Labor Ready is not a moving service and this complaint might not be the fault of the company's, but I would just caution that when you're in a desperate situation like we were, although they were able to help, the job may not be well done so keep that in mind.

But, my observation of their business model is that they are income-focused-first and relationship-focused somewhere much further down the line. Being more net-income-centric than human-centric resonates as more similar to "following" than "leading" in business, most certainly in the marketing world they represent, where consumers are critical and have endless options. Mine is, of course, just an anecdote, one experience. I have received dozens of invitations to apply for roles and I have responded to a select few, only those where the fit between my skillset and the work required was genuinely aligned. And, I've never received a response of any kind. There's a very modest time investment they make upfront, evaluating prospective employees', like myself, experience and expertise at the start of the relationship, then the 1:1 communication seems to end there. It's been disappointing. If I were ever asked "How can we improve?" I would offer that the opportunity for Creative Circle here, as I see it, is to reflect on your values as a company, take a look at the shifting marketplace, and create an authentically human-focused engagement environment where there's trust fostered, earned and realized between the employer, the prospective employee and the Creative Circle brand --- and the real-life humans behind that brand. I realize that's potentially a daunting task, perhaps one that eats into net income... but someone's out there trying to figure it out. Why not you?
