Nathan Salmon is a waste of time. I set an appointment with him and 30 minutes before that appointment he canceled. Said he had not gotten his child ready for school. Is school a new thing? Is it not known that your child has school? He asked me to reschedule for the next day at the same time. He sent me a text right on time asking me to reschedule because he forgot he had to pick his child up from school. he's picking up your children from school a new thing. Do they not have a schedule that you can set up for when they need to be picked up? This is a known time. Don't waste your time with this company. read more

Worked with Laura Ruuska. I recently worked for a start up company in Bellevue. CareerPaths help me get the job. From start to finish things were never done the way I wanted when I was hired. It took them over a month from the time I initially expressed interest in the position to find out I got the job.. uhh I had NO job at the time so this was VERY inconvenient as I was told over and over that I would PROBABLY have the job. Then once I was officially hired it took 3 weeks to actually get them to get me into the office to start. The problem with Laura is she never got things moving faster, it was never a priority to help me move to process along. Once hired I was told the contract included health insurance, this didn't happen. I was told I would get a raise after 60 days, this never happened. I was doing HR, Payroll, QuickBooks, A/R which was at over 200k when I started and complete office management, and getting paid entry level receptionist pay. When I called to tell Laura, and that I was extremely unhappy her response was "do what you have to do". WOW thanks for having my back on how I was treated after I was hired. The funny thing is she would call to check up and I am not completely sure why. In my opinion there are contracting companies that will go the extra mile for you. Try Populas Group or AIM consulting! top notch employees there. I am no longer with the start up and Laura was unreachable when I tried to find a new job! read more

In 2018, I had a wonderful experience with CareerPaths NW consultant, Clifford Cawthon, so I decided to use them again for my most recent job search. I was put in contact with Amy Fielder, who conducted an initial interview, gathered my resume & professional references, and connected with me on LinkedIn. 3 weeks passed with no communication and I confirmed with my references that she had not yet made contact. She was/is very active on LinkedIn, reacting to and commenting daily on dozens of QAnon, pro-Capitol Insurrection & pro-Trump posts that most would find highly inappropriate on a business networking site. Concerned she was too distracted with politics to find employment for her clients, I asked operations manager, John Brotnov, to assign me a new consultant. Mr Brotnov didn't offer an apology for his staffmember's behavior or failure to follow through, and Amy Fielder's replacement was similarly slow to respond and took over a month to almost line up one interview, which never materialized. Thankfully, I continued my own job search efforts and landed a fantastic senior account executive position, but had I relied on CareerPaths NW, I'd still be unemployed right now with no interviews or prospects in sight. I hope I don't require the services of another job placement agency, but I certainly wouldn't recommend this company to those looking for a new career. read more

Would not recommend at all. I worked with Nathan Salmon for a few weeks with absolutely zero results. The first day that we spoke everything felt like sunshine and rainbows and I believed that Nathan might be able to help me find some new employment. After a lengthy phone conversation about my wants and needs in a new employer Nathan asked me to not submit my application so aggressively so that he could have a chance to work his magic for me. Believing that he would do well, I obliged his request. This was a mistake. After 2 weeks, I had heard nothing so I checked in and got a one sentence response with no substance. I figured because it was near the holidays that I could give him a little more time. 2 more weeks pass and again... Nothing. I never once received an email that I didn't initiate. No phone calls that weren't prompted by me asking for an update. No nothing. I figured I would try and help, by sending over some links to jobs that looked like I might be a good fit, I sent over 4 of them to see whether or not he might be able to work with some of these companies. Nothing. No response. After 4 weeks of getting absolutely zero from Nathan, I finally get an email from him letting me know that he has passed me off to someone else in his office (shocker, right? He's too busy so I've gotta get someone else): Laura Ruuska. Laura seemed like she had the energy and enthusiasm that I was looking for. She called me promptly after an introductory email, and played phone tag with me until we finally got the chance to connect. Then she gives me the same hour long phone "interview" that Nathan gave me over a month ago. About an hour and a half after our phone conversation I get a call from Nathan, again. This is surprising... Didn't he just hand me to Laura? Wonder what he wants now. The one and only time that Nathan felt I was important enough to initiate a phone call was to tell me that I am not a good fit for them and that I should look for help elsewhere. I had never worked with a recruiter before and was quite open with that info. This was the worst possible first experience. I was made to feel as though I was unimportant and didn't matter. I was never set up with a single interview. I sent them more potential matches than they sent me. This was the biggest waste of time. I'm sad that I let these people take advantage of my lack of experience with recruiters. I will never work with one in the future and it is entirely because of my experience with Career Paths Northwest. Specficially, Nathan Salmon. I hope that anyone else who does wish to try their luck here, as a better experience than I did. 0/10 Would never recommend. read more

My experience with John Brotnov and CareerPaths NW was top notch. Some recruiting companies use the tactic of putting a body in a job, regardless of fit. I had the opposite experience here. John took the time to get to know me over the course of multiple interviews and discussions, giving him great insight into who I am and what kind of job and company would fit my skills and passions. I was not in a rush to get a new job, as I was currently employed and able to make ends meet. This allowed John to take the time to find the right opening for me. If I'm ever looking to change positions again, John will be the first person I speak to. I have recommended him to a few friends, who hopefully take my advice and give him a call. I worked with Lanessa who was AMAZING. I had been looking for about a month for something within my line of work as a Territory Manager. The week she contacted me I happen to have two additional companies reach out to me. I wasn't sure what a recruiter did and went along with it as you can never have too many opportunities. I met Lanessa the same week in which we went over what I was looking for and what I really didn't want. Within a couple days she contacted me to let me know she felt the right fit. At this same time the two other comps were ready to make an offer. I asked them to give me two more days as I wanted to make sure I at least spoke with the company Lanessa sent to me. That Friday I met with the company and knew right away this was the one. Within an hour Lanessa called to ask me to wait till Monday as they wanted to make me an offer. She asked me what do you need to take this job? I told her what I was looking for and she went to work. She not only made all the calls and did some incredible negotiations, that she got me MORE than I was expecting, the job I had been looking for and all at very little effort to me. I have no words to describe how amazing Laura is. Before I came across Career Paths and Laura I was very disappointed in recruiters. They give you a call, you meet with them and then never hear again from them. Laura follows up, always. I think she scans your resume with her palm over it and then she has a vision in her head what position you would be good at, just like a psychic.
