Dr Sim was amazing to work with! He explained everything he was doing, made sure my child was comfortable throughout the process Of doing the fillings, and was very kind in the follow up. The office staff here is outstanding- very pleasant, professional, and knowledgeable! The facility is clean and comfortable and everyone does all they can to make each patient feel Comfortable. Extremely unprofessional, especially the office manager Linda who refused to let me speak to the doctor. After taking my temperature and asking me to wear a mask She refused to let me in with my five year old who is scared of the dentist. Not kid friendly at all. read more

Dr. Vera and her extremely competent office staff and dental assistants are absolutely wonderful-- I can't imagine taking my daughters anywhere else, they've had such a positive pediatric dental experience here. I'd rate it a zero if I could. We have never had a problem until today. We drove from Sturbridge for this place...The doctor was clearly over booked since we waited over an hour before we were even let into a room to have the doctor leave everything to another women who clearly didn't know what she was doing...(the doctor was running back and forth between rooms)my daughter mind you she's 7 was treated like a piece of meat they were learning on. She didn't even know how to take out her separators with out hurting the poor girl on top of trying to take My daughters compressions and struggling multiple times getting the gooey stuff(not sure what it's called) all over her and running to show the doctor the compressions to see if she did it correctly and making my daughter rinse the mess off her face that the girl did at the sink...it's a KIDS dentist your suppose to cater to the kids. Then someone behind the desk argues with me and defends the employee who clearly didn't know how to do her job. Unprofessional, disappointing, poor customer service and I will NEVER recommend this place to anyone. read more

They double booked an appointment we set 3 months in advance, procedure supposed to take 15 minutes turned into 2 hours because of it. Staff was late to show up for the appointment, walked past us in the parking lot then took a different patient first. I'll be making appointments elsewhere. read more

I have never felt so comfortable at a dentist office before. If I could give more than 5 stars, I would. The staff at the front desk are all incredibly kind and comforting. The dentist, Dr. Sim was absolutely phenomenal and explained everything to me, always checking in to make sure I was okay which made my experience less stressful. Dental Assistant Katie took X-Rays before AND after my appointment to make sure everything was done properly - which it was. Erika, another amazing dental assistant that accompanied Dr. Sim during my appointment was so kind, comforting and experienced - it really made all the difference. I know my teeth are in great hands at this dental office; by far the best dentist I've ever been to!!! read more

I have taken my kids to see Dr. Vera for years. In the past, she's been very good, despite my having kids with dental anxiety. The practice is considered "good" with special needs kids, and my 12yo is on the autism spectrum. It worked well. We had a rough cleaning visit where a staff member berated him for poor brushing. OK ... His brushing isn't the best. However, I personally brush after he does. He does have a full set of braces, and autism. His orthodontist says his brushing is decent; he's had full braces for two years and had two teeny cavities this last visit. Fine ... I can live with one grouchy staff member ... Maybe she had a bad day. We went for a filling. J cannot have nitrous because of a genetic mutation. I specified that prior to the visit. I gave him Valium. He is very compliant anyway. We went in; a staff member disputed not using nitrous; she showed me a paper with J's name and nitrous use on it. It was my son N's paperwork with J's name sticker on it. I refused. They continued to push. I refused. He sat through the novacaine shot; promptly fell asleep because of the Valium. Dentist began to push for silver fillings. I refused. She refused to place them, saying his mouth was "too wet". News flash - sleeping kids drool. I got a certified letter today dropping all three of my kids from the practice. Two have appointments for fillings this week we have waited 6 months for. Because I chose a more holistic approach to dentistry and dared to question nitrous and silver fillings, both of which were advised against by our UMASS and MGH medical team. If you have "typical" kids and are willing to just accept what a professional says because they have letters after their name and you're just a stupid parent, they're good. If you dare question a "professional" based on personal research and speaking to a team of other professionals, prepared to be dropped from the practice with no notice. read more

I am always telling families to go here. They are the best. They are kind, SINCERE, and caring. I have 3 boys, my middle son is Autistic. He was in today for sedation, and to have teeth worked on. I was visibly upset and they were comforting. They even let us stay a little longer in a room until my husband was able to come and get us. They didnt kick us out. If you have kids this is the dentist to go to. They are the best!!! read more

My kids have gone to this Dentist for quite some time, but today we had the worst experience ever. I took time off from work to bring my kids to the dentist, and also took the risk of exposing us all to the virus, even though it was just a cleaning appointment. When I arrived at the clinic, I was asked to leave my kids by themselves and I was told that I wasn't allowed to stay there with them. I explained to the staff that when I called the clinic in the morning to confirm the appointment, I wasn't told about leaving my kids by themselves. My kids are minor and this is very inappropriate. The staff didn't even apologize to me, but they said that was normal for other parents to leave the kids alone when they are seven years or older (which I really can't believe, and i hope they are not doing it!!). I was told that this is doctor's decision and I either accept it or go home. Of coarse I went home, with both my kids being very sad, confused and scared. This was very unprofessional, and it is illegal to ask parents to leave little kids by themselves. I was really hopping for the staff to call me back and apologize for this, but it didn't happen. I am really thinking about reaching out to the AG for this, and I want other parents to know about my experience today. Thank you! read more

They said my son could use an extra cleaning between the regular 6 months cleanings. I was told at the previous visit it would be less than $100 since it was just a cleaning. Just went last week - he was in with the dentist for 25 minutes. I just got the bill and it's for $300 including for x rays I never authorized. Nobody told me anything about this while I was there. I'm guessing this kind of overservicing and overbilling goes unnoticed for people who have it covered by insurance. I, however, do not! read more

We only went here for a second opinion, but I wish this dentist was closer to our home I would switch in a heartbeat. She spent time explaining things to me even drew out a picture of what she was talking about she was so good with my son and incredibly understanding! All-around a great place to bring your child. I had set an appointment for my daughter to see Dr. Vera, and it was a simple process. Yet, in no way, shape, or form was I informed that written permission from both parents was REQUIRED in order for my daughter to recieve treatment. Court orders and custody confirmation...what?. Anyways, this wouldn't have been an issue if it was conveyed to me ahead of time during the initial appointment set-up. I had taken the day off from work...thank you for failing to communicate this vital information Worcester Kids Dental! Furthermore, as I read the new patient forms that were required to be seen, I noticed the highly offensive and outdated language & terminology that the facility utilized...yikes...not very socially aware. As I spoke with a receptionist over the phone to confirm what I was reading, the receptionist was vividly unaware of the flaws in the office's communication process. I lost an entire day's pay (Not cool), and was shocked at the lack of social awareness that the practitioners exhibited. Worcester Kids Dental is a textbook example that shows that a Harvard education does not equate to good practice. The leadership of the office is seemingly disconnected to dynamics of everday people. I hope the office adjusts these blazingly apparent unprofessional practices, for the sake of people's jobs and well-being. read more
