I have a real thing about customer service and this place gets it just SO right. I went in there to…read morehave two tyres changed last year and the guy, after a thorough inspection, sent me away to do a few thousand more miles. Similar story again this morning with Kim's car where they didn't try to sell me tyres although the tracking did need to be re-aligned. Unlike the guy from the alarm company whose recent inspection was a seeming race against some imaginary clock, their approach is measured and professional and leaves you with the feeling that they've done the job properly. They have a warm & comfortable seating area with a free coffee machine and a window that you can watch them working through or they seem quite happy for you to watch more closely if there's not too much going on. If you decide to give them a try, bear in mind that the entrance is in the end of Lower Church Street. Also, Saturdays are often busy so I usually call ahead to book a slot.

I then realised that I had only ordered 1 tyre rather than the 2 required, called the branch and they amended the order. Received an email confirming the tyres were ready and also a phone call asking if I wanted to come in earlier and have the tyres fitted. It took less than 30 mins for the team to carry out the work and have me on my way. Recommend this branch to anyone - so happy with the service that I have booked my car in for it's MOT in a couple of weeks. Well done.

This is actually one of the better Wilkinson stores. It is on the bigger side and I can always find…read morewhat I need at really reasonable prices. Come here if you're short of time [or if you just efficiency] and you need to buy lots of things in one place - shampoo, face wipes, nail polish, hair accessories for the kids, the latest cleaning products, hair dye, christmas trees, pet toys, socks, birthday cards, candles, and cushions [and lots, lots more]. I always come here at Christmas to buy a nicknack or two as their prices are really affordable and I can always find something different. I also come here for bedding as it is much more affordable than department stores [it's not the best quality, but it's nice to buy a whole new bedding set on a whim without having to save for a few months]. There is adequate parking in the are and it is easily accessible by bus [the bus stops right outside the shopping centre]. There's a Costa just outside the doors for anyone who has been on a shopping frenzy [or for the partners who want to wait outside!]. Although I don't use it more than a few times a year these days, it's comforting to know it's there in case I need an emergency birthday present, cushion, or notebook.

This store, as many others in different towns, enjoys its' own success. It is particularly helped by such good parking facilities in Burgess Hill. Inexpensive eateries within the locale of the hugely successful shopping precinct make it pleasure to be there. Other cities/towns should take note..

Until I came to write this review, I always though this shop was called Carpaccio - and I couldn't…read morequite understand why they had named themselves after a raw meat dish. However I stand corrected, and although I don't know anything about the origins of the actual name, I no longer associate this place with pounded raw beef. This is another Lewes clothes shop aimed at middle aged women. This one has a bit more of a distinctive, ethnic-y vibe than some of the others; unlike Darcey or Renwick Clarke which just put me in mind of three piece suites and pristine lawns, Capriccio has slightly more bohemian feel. They sell those striped, handwoven basket bags from Kenya that I associate with the 80s, mostly because my mum used to have one. The clothing labels have names like 'Masai,' 'Sahara' and 'Oska,' and feature drapey, crepey tunics, and other unstructured pieces. They have some nice dressing gowns in ethnic prints, and also a nice selection of hats, including a stretchy straw hat that folds down flat. I am currently in the market of a nice sun hat, so I tried one on, but at £40 it was more than I wanted to spend. They also sell espadrilles and chunky jewellery pieces.

Their clothes are of clear, jewel-like colours and interesting textures, with a bit of ethnic element. Not cheap, but class shows. (NB I have no connection with Capriccio!) I hate clothes-shopping, and I was so pleased to find somewhere that suited me, so that I could buy a couple of nice things and head home.
