I bought my wife a jacket for Christmas at Ted Baker a few weeks ago and when I gave it to her it turned out to be much too small. When we brought it back to the store they no longer had a larger sized jacket. I asked for my money back and they refused and said they could only issue a store credit because it was past 14 days, although it was only 2 days after Christmas. I explained that it was a present and could not be tried on before. I also told them I did not want a store credit because my wife needed a jacket and there were none in the store that suited her. I asked to see the manager, a woman named Natalie, who also offered me only a store credit. She was overly rude and not at all helpful, so we left with the credit, but couldn't find anything else in the store that interested us. She did not offer to call other stores to see if they had it in stock, or call the head office to see if they would set the 14 day policy aside as it was Christmas.
All in all it was a thoroughly poor show for a high end store like Ted Baker.
Almost every high level establishment makes things consumer friendly, especially around Christmas and this store certainly did not. Zero stars for this overpriced, pseudo-sophisticated, exceedingly boorish establishment on Christmas. I will never shop there again, and advise others to be wary before giving them your business. read more
