Designers include Beyond Skin, Sam Ubhi, Ally Capellino, Best Behavior, Hartford, Anna Nygards and Anouk. If you see something you like and it doesn't quite fit, they also provide alterations and styling advice. If they could make me a size smaller, I'd buy my whole wardrobe from there!

Prices aren't too bad either, you can pick up a really colourful scarf for as little as £6! Towards the back of the shop, there is a larger room that is home to all sorts of interesting bits and bobs- again, great for pressies. Dig around in little pots of earrings and sift through the trinkets, purses and key rings to see if anything takes your fancy. In this second room there is also larger items such as mirrors and small items of furniture. There is also rails of clothing to peruse. Greenwich Village is a shop I love to wander around- although much of the clothing is too loud for my personal taste, the materials are really beautiful and I just like to admire other people's amazing handiwork!

They have got 1920s style bathing caps and Chinese parasols, and loose fitting chemise tunics. The clothes do have a danger of looking a little bit frumpy if the outfit isn't put together right though. It's not terribly cheap, either, and quite often I feel the more basic pieces don't merit the extra expense. For the odd piece though it's a good place to look, particularly if you are in a romantic or nostalgic mood.

I paid for special delivery for the item to be returned back to store (the day after I received it) and the shop owner blatantly lied about the date it was returned, when I tracked it online myself. A very expensive item purchased so concerned about my refund, seller being very difficult about processing my refund and sending abusive emails which I have reported to trading standards. It has been 7 days since they received my item and still no refund. The shop owner has zero people skills, is rude, sarcastic and clearly has some personal problems. I am extremely shocked about the way I've been treated. Please avoid at all costs. Do not spend your money here. Update- I sent this review to google reviews also, the seller then edited the email conversation leaving out their rude and sarcastic responses and personally emailed this threatening email- The seller has just sent this email privately to me: "We have posted the emails you have written on our reply to your review, so anyone reading it can see the sort of abuse you have given to our customer care staff. I hope no one you know reads them. What will they think of you? And my reply- Thanks for the further information to be sent to trading standards. Please note, when I update them, I'll be including all of the emails, not just the ones that exclude your disgusting attitude. Last time I popped in there was a couple of dresses from the fifties but the majority of outfits are from the sixties and seventies. We're not talking about tatty flares either but stylish dresses, blouses and wide leg trousers for women and cool shirts, cardigans and figure hugging Levi's for men. Refreshingly, everything is reasonably priced and the stock is in very good to excellent condition.
