I could not have been more impressed when I came back for the first session and saw that the image I had provided made by chatgpt had been transformed into something that I will cherish forever! Brianna was also almost exact on her quote for the amount of hours it would take and price. The studio itself is very clean and many individual rooms, so it felt private and comfortable. I was a bit nervous because I have vasovagal reactions to needles, but Brianna was prepared made sure I was good when we started both sessions. Brianna went over the top to make sure I had some tattoo balm to take home after the first session since I only had products that would have damaged the tattoo. Was referred to Wookie about four years ago for a very personal Celtic knot design 1/4 sleeve. After a consult we decided on a design idea and got it done over two 3 hour sessions. I loved it then and love it even more now. Fast forward to a few months ago and I wanted to get the sleeve finished. I was so happy to see that Wookie had opened his own shop and I went in for another consult. That's when Terry made me do some homework. Terry wants to make sure that each piece is "your" piece, so I pulled together some images that I wanted to include in my sleeve. That's where the magic of Wookie came in. He recommended the overall style of my sleeve; Trash Polka. After some research I knew that's exactly what I wanted. After 14 hours of work, I couldn't be happier. It's hard to find a true shop that actually care about what you want and how you want it and not just for your $$ . The artist I used was Kris Kagle , awesome guy and phenomenal artist! So far we have worked on a full arm sleeve and it's incredible and we are already planning for more to come . I was worried about getting a new artist especially getting a new tattoo on my forearm. After many recommendations I went to Kris at Wookie's. When meeting Kris he was very open to my ideas and easy to talk to. The tattoo parlor was extremely clean, his station was organized and clean and he walked me through each step and process of what to expect. The session was not rushed he took his time and did beautiful work. The Price is reasonable. I definitely will come back. As a matter a fact I do not see my self going anywhere else. Listen up!!! clean, friendly, works with and suggests ideas. Lot of experience with the right attitude knows how to communicate and that includes having a conversation while you are getting work done. Set the right needle height so the pain is at its least even color (which is what you are there for) I have alot of tats from alot of artist I just walked in you are a dumb f@ck if you don't go here "SWAY" your ass to a real pro money and time shouldn't matter if you want the right job and getting the tat is just as important as the work. Terry, aka Wookie, has been my tattoo artist since 1998. He is extraordinarily professional, extremely clean and uses sterile equipment (I am a nurse and this is of the utmost import to me), passionate about his work, and is an amazingly gifted artist. Wookie has done two cover ups on me. They were both exactly like I wanted and he was patient and insightful up to the point of needle touching skin. He works fast and accurately and I would trust him to do all my work moving forward. I even brought my wife for her first and again Wookie wasn't pushy or impatient. I've been working all summer with Kris and by far this has been my favorite tattoo experience ever. He is incredibly talented and mindful and has a superb sense of detail. I received a tattoo cover up here that required two sessions. My girlfriend came with me.We were quoted approximately $500 for the tattoo, and during the first appointment we tipped $100 because we were verbally told the second session would be free aside from potentially a small shop/service fee. During the second session, we were unexpectedly charged an additional $100. I chose not to argue because the tattoo initially looked good and we trusted the process. However, after healing, a significant amount of the opaque shading faded and the original tattoo became visible again. We reached out calmly and professionally simply to discuss the fading and the misunderstanding surrounding pricing for the second session. Instead of handling the situation professionally as the owner of a business should, Joey immediately became defensive, hostile, and disrespectful. Despite us clearly requesting written communication only, he repeatedly attempted to call us and became increasingly rude when we would not answer. During the conversation, Joey made comments including "You obviously don't speak English," used a homophobic slur ("fag"), mocked us, and repeatedly treated us with disrespect for simply attempting to discuss a customer service concern reasonably and professionally. At no point were we threatening, aggressive, or disrespectful toward him. We simply wanted to discuss the fading of the tattoo and the unexpected additional charge in a calm and respectful way. What disappointed us most was not even the tattoo outcome itself, because touch ups and fading can happen. It was the behavior and complete lack of professionalism shown by the owner when a customer tried to resolve an issue respectfully. If you choose to go here, I strongly recommend getting ALL pricing, touch up expectations, and guarantees in writing beforehand.
