My husband and I are huge fans of wood fired pizza and decided to give this restaurant a try while in town for a comedy show. We ordered take out and when I went in to pickup the pizza, the owner was working with the crew. He was very friendly and chatted with me for a bit before I left the store. The pizza was delicious. We ordered the carbonara pizza and it is one of the best slices we have had. The flavor was unmatched by traditional pizza places. We also had the wings and they were great! Located in a strip mall is Woodson Stonefire! There is really no place for seating so it is mainly take out only. We ordered a supreme pizza, toasted ravioli, and a BBQ sandwich. The wait was only maybe 30 minutes, which was not bad. They are known for their really nice messages on top of their pizza boxes, which I think really adds to the experience and feels really welcoming. The supreme pizza was good, and I wish we ordered another pie! Their toasted ravioli tasted freshly made and NOT store bought. My toddler loooooved the toasted ravioli. The BBQ was generous and I think it had texas toast as the bread. It had a good BBQ sauce and I liked the cut of the meat. Real nice people running it! The tickle my pickle was good overall! The crust was soft and the pizza wasn't greasy at all. I will say that I did add smoked chicken in place with of the salami that the menu stated was on it, and for paying a $3 upcharge I would have wanted to really taste the chicken, which I felt was barely on there. Hubby and I stopped in to check the place out Saturday, 4/4/26. Ordered our standard order (hamburger, bacon and onion aka HBO). This was the pizza crust I have been craving. So, so good! Cheese and ingredients were perfectly portioned. Rick stopped by the table as we finished the pie and shared his story of how the business came to be. Made me love it that much more. Thanks Rick! What a gem of a pizza place in St. Charles. I tried both the cheese and BBQ chicken pizza. They were ready so fast (literally cooked in less than 15 mins!) 4.5 stars because I can't give 5 stars to a place until I visit at least twice. I'll say I'm not really a fan of traditional crust pizza, so I kept an open mind with this. I love the variety on the menu for a small place like this. I can tell the owner puts his heart and soul into this place which is awesome and I'd definitely support any local business over a chain any day. Pizza: I got the alfredo carbonara. The crust was perfectly cooked and the cheese was great however I wish there was just a tad more alfredo sauce. I know it's hard because if you put to much it makes the pizza soggy so I give them the benifit of the doubt with that. Wings: by owners recommendation I got the bbq wings and wow are they amazing. Great sized wings perfectly cooked and some of the best BBQ sauce I've ever had. I hope this place moves locations though. The owner does good business but the place seemed hot. I never got my order! I ordered online for delivery. My credit card was accepted. The estimated time for delivery was provided online. It was to be a 90 - 110 minute wait. (!) The pizza never was delivered. About a half hour after the latest estimate of delivery time I called the pizza place. The youn woman who answered the pone suested I talk with the manager. I told him my issue and he responded that there was no order received. I told him that my credit card was accepted. There was no further discussion or offer to look into it. When my credit card statement arrived, there was the charge for the pizza I ordred. Very disapointed. I have already initiated a dispute with my credit card company. But what a pain!! I ordered an all meat pizza and instead of waiting I had some errands to run and came right back. The folks were very friendly and the place had a good spirit about it of a nice pizza restaurant. However, the pizza that we got was flimsy and saggy. It lacked the quantity of ingredients that one felt would've felt was a value for $27 all meat pizza from family handmade wood fired place. we were very disappointed at the food we received on Friday night. Order the beef stroganoff pizza and it did not have any beef in it and certainly didn't taste anything like stroganoff. We also ordered naked wings and we can easily say they were the worst wings we have ever had. They must've been cooked days ago and thrown into a microwave because they were very dry and tasteless. to add to the insult we had to wait an additional 20 minutes for the food and the cost was close to $60. never going here again. read more

So good! This spot is takeout only but they are well staffed and your order will be out pretty quick. I got a Basic B which is 1/2 garlic fingers and1/2 one topping pizza. Garlic fingers were a little, well, basic. I was thinking like a garlic bread garlic finger but this was a little light on the garlic. It wasn't bad but just go in with that as an expectation. The dipping sauce elevated it to next level - tasted really fresh, well seasoned, just delicious! And the 1/2 pizza (sausage) was amazing too. The sausage was flavorful and I think they use a cheese blend because that cheese was a step above your basic mozzarella. The crust is clearly homemade, rolled out on cornmeal for a nice crunch in addition to the chewiness of the crust itself. This is top notch pizza! Give it a try. read more

We came in to stamp our Pizza Passport but we will be going back soon! The menu has so many unique pizza combinations and they all sound delicious! We had a large Carnivore and the Chicken Bacon Ranch sandwich and both were excellent. The chicken sandwich was on Texas toast which was not overly exciting but the chicken fillet was so good it more than made up for it. The pizza is not St. Louis style but it's excellent thin crust pizza, tasty sauce, yummy toppings and a good amount of cheese, and it was well-cooked. Since we dined in (it's mostly a carryout/delivery place but they do have a table and we did sit at it!) we got the chance to talk to Rick, the owner, and meet some of his family. He was so nice and we really enjoyed chatting with him when he had the opportunity to come over for a second. It was pretty good. The sauce was a bit sweet and it could have had more pork on it. The crust was good, a bit messy. I am thing it may have had cornmeal on it. It was definitely a multi-napkin meal (which is not a bad thing) I would come back for another pizza but would give one of the others a try. I did notice that they served Pizza Kits. This Pizzeria is tucked away in an unassuming strip mall that I never would have known was there if not for my pizza passport. The restaurant is small and not necessarily designed for the dine in experience, but they have one table up front that was available. We shared the Luau pizza, and let me tell you, it was absolutely AMAZING! Pulled pork, onions, pineapple, and BBQ sauce served on a delicious house made and hand stretched dough. The crust was perfection. I can honestly say this was one of the best pizzas I've ever had. To top off our experience, the owner was so welcoming and helpful. Shocked at the young staff learning chatting on line trying to figure out whatever as a team. I saw quite a few teenage/young a lot males scrambling about trying to help one another or help a customer at the counter. I heard a lot of potential back on the line was very impressive! It's not a dine in establishment, but we were lucky to be able to sit at the one table they have in the waiting area and eat the pizza hot out of the oven. Looking through suggestions for a local pizza shop instead of the usual big chains. Our first stop was today at Woodson Stonefire. Very good choice. It's a small shop with six or more employees and a single high top table for waiting while your order completes. We were greeted by the owner, Rick. Pleasant, friendly man who is clearly proud of his employees, his son working the oven in particular. The bulk of their orders seem to be online. Walk-ins like us are a bit less common, though gladly welcomed. Though our pizzas only take about three minutes or more to bake, there were a number of online orders placed ahead of us. Our wait was close to twenty minutes because of this. Understandable and not a problem. Gave us a chance to watch the workers assemble some pizzas. I wouldn't have been surprised to see them rushing around frantically, but they kept a well measured pace appropriate to getting the orders right and the capacity of the ovens. Watching the dough being worked, it was easy to see it had good elasticity, which held out the hope of a crispy exterior and chewy interior. Each crust was brushed with garlic around the edges. Now for the pizzas. My wife wanted something a bit particular, so we ordered two personal sized pizzas, which are limited to four toppings of your choice. Her's had Alfredo sauce, spinach, mushrooms, crushed garlic, and chicken. I had red sauce, pepperoni, mushrooms, sausage, and bacon. Nothing overwhelmed anything else. Each topping was easily tasted and had good flavor. The crust lived up to expectations, being both crispy and chewy, with a bit of char from the high oven temps and good flavor of its own. Not one of the times I discarded the edges and only ate the inner part. All in all, a much better pizza than you can get at any of the national chains. That doing so supports a locally based, family run shop only makes it better. We definitely will be returning. read more

Pulled in to St louis at around 10:00 p.m. Everyone was very hungry but too tired to drive for dinner. Found Woodson Stonefire pizza through Yelp, and "what a Gem". They do not do delivery, but, the owner was nice enough to deliver to our hotel, which, luckily was only 2 miles away from the restaurant. "What a customer service" We ordered medium buffalo chicken pizza, and medium bbq pizza. The Buffalo chicken pizza was superb, smoky chicken pieces, tangy with spicy kick from buffalo sauce. The dough was done to perfection where they are crispy from the stone fired char. To top it off,... they seasoned the crust evenly that makes it hard not to finish :) The BBQ Pizza is their flagship pizza and it was very yummy. Same seasoned crust. But the pulled pork is the star. Soft, melt in your mouth goodness topped with light bbq sauce that is not too sweet, but just right. One thing I can say the customer service was above and beyond, the owner was nice enough to give us cookies as dessert as well.
