This place really knows how to do fish and shrimp. Some of the best fish we have had in a long time and they give you a ton. The shrimp is some of the best I've had. Now the bad: The green beans are straight from a can, no seasoning to them at all. Also they allowed a table to smoke the entire time while we were eating. There was not a time that a cigarette was not lit at this table. The patio was filled with people eating and this table continued to light one after another with no regard to the people eating around them and the staff never told them to stop smoking. Used to be a regular customer for dinner. I will not be going back after last nights' dining experience (3/8/2026). The perch filets were skimpy compared to past portions. The baked potato was the smallest I've ever been served and it was cold. The butter would not even melt on it. Dinners used to be served with a really nice salad. No more! The choice was cole slaw "OR" a vegetable. Not "AND", but rather "OR".The place is not the same. I'm wondering if the business changed ownership. By the way, I'm 77 years old and this is the first time I've written a review. That should lend some credence to it. read more

Excellent meal. We had the Cod fish and chops dinner. I got 6 pieces of cod, a generous portion of fries, and a large bowl of coleslaw. It was extremely packed, but we got served within 45 minutes after entering. We really enjoyed the perch' and bluegill entrees. We sat on the covered patio. We have young kids so getting to play Pictionary while waiting for food was awesome. They have many games for people to play, and a foosball table as well. Nice golf club restaurant. read more

My husband and I have been customers at this restaurant for years and have always been very happy with their food and service. We have recommended it to our friends many times. We went for dinner last night and were so disappointed and upset that we will not be going back for awhile if at all. It was always crowded on a Friday but we went after 8:00 so they were not overly busy. Waitress came to our table and almost threw the silverware and napkins on the table. Came back again and brought menus and took drink orders. Came back with the drinks and took our order. Food came and it was terrible. Surprised that a cook would send out food like it was or that the waitress had the nerve to serve it. Shrimp was burned and fries were cold. My husband's fish was also way over cooked and fries and green beans cold. He did take his home to reheat the fries and remove the burned breading on his perch. I ask to speak to manager and she was gone for the day and another waitress came and talked to us. I even gave her a shrimp and ask her if she would eat this and she took it to the cook to show him or her and see what she might be able to do. Anyway we waited for quite awhile and finally the original waitress came by for payment and noticed all the food we had not eaten. She did say she was sorry and took our bill and removed the price of my dinner. So the great dinner and service that we usually get and looked so forward to was not the good experience that we always had. Prices are phenomenal. Dress is casual. We went on a Saturday date night. The special is NY Strip for 14.95. A huge ass well charred on the outside perfect medium rare on the center hunk of beef. Add six decently sized, nicely fried shrimp with tasty cocktail sauce for five bucks. Salad or soup to start, large as well. I liked my iceberg salad, James was happy with chicken noodle. James went for fries. I got redskins. The freebie green beans were just ok. We took home the seafood combo, one each for my mom and dad. They both enjoyed the tomato bisque, green beans and baked potatoes. All the fried seafood got a thumbs up. They both raved about the frog legs especially. Tender and perfect. While in the investigation of homes in the area, the Troupe of my Mum, MIL&FIL joined us for a Saturday evening excursion. Wood side Meadows was found in a quick search and My Husby called to confirm they were open. The call was confirmed in a friendly manner and we made our way there. Upon arrival we had a seat in the open seating area while the bar area was separated with a wall to the left. A fish tank filled with beautiful fish is at the entrance. The decor could be improved but the feeling is a home town spot for dinner. Couples were having meals and friends were gathered happily. The volume was never too loud or obnoxious and staff was very respectful and friendly. We all ate savoring the burgers, onion rings, fries, and a side of shrimp. Hot delicious fries were generously portions and the burgers were Juicy and seasoned well. We left with a box home that happened to disappear in the night. Husby says he has no idea where the box was . Will definitely return for the food and ambiance and FIL wishes to golf the course once open. Stopped in for dinner after hearing great reviews on their fish fry. We ordered the Cod dinner and the wife ordered the twin lobster tail. Both meals were delishous. The cod was crispy, flakey, and not oily like other fish fry places. The lobster dinner was also good and a great deal at $20. The fish was $13 and very filling. We both had fries and a salad which was also good. Michelle took care of us on the drinks and provided us great service. We will definately be back and looking forward to trying the prime rib dinners on Sundays. read more

After 2 years of seeing this place HIGHLY recommended during Lent for their fish dinners we finally got to check it out. We called ahead to see if we needed a reservation and apparently Friday is the only day you don't need one (or the only day they don't do them, I can't remember..) We've been trying a new local spot every Friday for cod/fish & chip dinners and unfortunately this was our least favorite so far. We really like the crispy fried batter most of the local spots use... this place uses a more mealy type batter than what we're used to and it wasn't crispy at all. I had the perch.. it was ok. But my kids and husband LOVE cod and my daughter didn't even eat a full piece. My husband gave it a 3 out of 10. The portions are good. I really liked the salad that came with my dinner, and the baked potato was good. The rest of them got fries, and they were kind of soggy. As I type this I'm starting to think maybe our food sat a bit before being brought out because they were really busy and everything was just sort of... could've been crispier/hotter. The weirdest thing though is that the cod and the fried shrimp had this... after taste to it. 2 of my kids said it tasted like cigarette smoke. My husband said he didn't notice it, but when I tried their cod and a shrimp I definitely tasted right away whatever they were talking about. I obviously don't think it was "cigarette" but there was a taste to it that I definitely couldve described it as a cigarette taste too My perch didn't taste that way and I assume they use the same batter/oil for all the seafood so it was really odd. Also - the prices you see online are NOT accurate and the Friday Cod is not all you can eat. We looked at their menu many times over the last couple weeks and most of them had AYCE listed, and the price was like $10.95 we figured it was outdated pricing but the cod was actually $16 something and NOT all you can eat.... (not that we would've ordered more, or needed more because the servings were plenty) The place was PACKED...looked like lots of regulars in parties of 6+. I'd recommend going before 4 or after 7. We got there about 4:45, waited about an hour, and the line finally started to die down around 7. Someone next to us ordered an amazing looking steak (had to have been a T-bone) and lobster tail that looked good. I'd love to get back to try their prime rib dinner or that steak we saw! I thought I would try the food at Woodside Meadows since my husband was there playing golf. I attempted to call in an order on a Saturday about 4:00 pm. The person was barely audible and said "please hold". After staying on hold for 10 minutes and hearing people speak in the background........ I said "hello", shortly thereafter the phone clicked and we were disconnected. I decided I would try yet again to place a carryout order. Once again, I was asked if I could hold - but this time, I didn't wait too long before someone came on the line to take my order. I placed one order and asked for a Caesar salad.......I was told "we're out of Romaine, so that's a no", so I settled for a house salad in its place - which is ok, it's the lack of energy in her effort of giving me alternative sides. My next order, was "crab cakes" which are listed on the menu - are not available?????????? Then why don't you put forth the effort to update your available food items on line. While your at it, ask your wait staff to be more congenial when dealing with patrons. Even if your food is good I'm not sure it's worth the added effort to pull out a kind audible response. I've never ate in here at woodside, we always get a Togo order.. you do have to pay a "Togo fee" I believe it's $1-$2. I usually get a grilled chicken Cesar and it's very good. The chicken is always seasoned great and the Cesar is already mixed in the lettuce. This place is a hit or miss it is a golf course with a full bar and restaurant. I live close so its a good choice for me to have a few cocktails There was a drink called the voodoo that was awesome all you need is one...feeling good. I've had the ribeye special..Excellent. Chicken parmesan ugg not awful but not great. On Friday they have lobster bisque soup oh my soooo good. Fish fry as well although not a fish fry kind of girl. I've had their Chili excellent! Salads: Taco, Chicken cobb both were pretty good nice raspberry vinaigrette. The burgers okay... I also tried the chicken quesadilla just okay. They do daily specials, haven't tried them all. Pleasant Experience I have now been here twice. Both times the food was great.I enjoyed the Ribeye and then the Prime Rib Dinner. Exceptional value and flavor. Both times there was no waiting. If you like steak or prime rib you can't go wrong here. Cheaper in price than other steak restaurants but not cheap on portions. I will be back to try the Fish Fry and other menu items. read more

This course is alright...but the maintenance is awful!!! The ports potty's are absolutely disgusting...I come with my husband at least once a week. The back porta potty has had a poopy paper towel on the floor for the last 2-3 weeks and it smells AWFUL!! The front porta potty has been out of hand sanitizer for the past 2-3 weeks. The golf cart path is falling apart..some areas you can't even drive on. Come on Woodside Meadows...you can do so much better!!!! read more

Went golfing with my friends, great course. The bartender who was working June 30th has a major anger problem. She not only gives awful service but goes out of her way to be inconsiderate to her customers. If you want to be bullied by a 60 year old bartender then go here. This place needs to really do something about this, it has happened too many times. What company/ business would allow this behavior???? read more

by far the worst service i have ever gotten. Waited 40 minutes for a server and for the menu/drinks. Have to pay for music to be played. Food was terrible, someone ordered a medium rare steak and it was burnt. they told us we could all have lobster bisque soup and then they came back and said they only had enough for one, also said they had no nacho cheese after 45 minutes after our order was put in and when they were brought to the table! Also no prime rib?? wtf?? At dinner time too! We were so upset and no one even apologized or gave us any reinforcement for this, like we were shocked! We were still being nice, but jeez that's ridiculous, they starred at us for 40 minutes and someone finally came over and then said they didn't know if they could serve us? like what? We came out for the Lent Fish Fry Friday. It is all you can eat and the place is packed. The event includes fun people watching/interaction and some affordable, tasty, all you can eat cod. The service was superb and the beer and cocktails were inexpensive! The line is intimidating, but Sandy, our server said, " The food is good & the line goes fast!" She was right and it was a fun outing! You can even get a to go container for your remaining pile of food. Just go! We had a great night! read more

Had a great time on the golf course, everything was great. Our only complaint was the older, short haired bartender with a black skirt on. We came in one time to grab a few beers, she gave us the wrong kind of beers and after requesting the correct ones she replied "well it's gonna be a minute" and was very rude about her mistake. Several couples at the bar were having the same trouble with her stating it took 20 minutes to take their order. She then sent someone out to confirm that we paid for 18 holes - which we did. It's a shame that someone so unpleasant is determined to ruin a day out on the golf course. read more

The golf course is very nice and kept up well we had a very nice time golfing here! The only thing was the older waitress at the bar was extremely rude to us. She made it very uncomfortable for us to order from the bar while we were golfing as she purposely waited on everyone else before fixing our order after she got it wrong. We were very nice to her and there was no reason for her to be so harsh to us. We were going to eat there after but because of her we left instead as she was blatantly ill-mannered. I wish there was a better wait staff so we could be comfortable going inside and eating after golfing or order beer while golfing but unfortunately because of her we will not be. read more
