He wanted to paid up front and then said he would be back in 2 weeks to clear the cut tree and grind the stump. My neighbor had used him before and we were so happy to have the tree cut off of our house so quickly that we agreed. Well he cut the tree down and then we never saw him again!!! When you call his business you only get an answering service. After 3 weeks I tried to call. I got a message back from him that we were 12th in a line of jobs. BUT we were first the day after the storm.....so how could THAT be I said back on the answering machine??? It is now 6 weeks later and no sign of him. NOT A WORD!!! AND he even came back to do a job for my neighbor that recommended him and he told my neighbor that he never promised us to come back and clear(which is a LIE) and he said to check our receipt. When I looked at the receipt he only wrote down "cut down tree". So that we cannot prove that he ever intended to come back!!!!!! SNEAKY AND DECEITFUL AND NEVER HAD ANY INTENTION OF EVER COMING BACK!!!! My neighbor was floored that he would scam his close neighbor and not care about future recommendations for his own business. Plenty of them either took long to respond or came back with high estimates. Some companies didn't even respond at all. Joe and his team responded quickly and gave a really reasonable price. In addition to that, they were able to schedule the job the same day because they were in the area and got there within 2 hours. The crew of about 6 men chopped and removed the tree within 1.5 hours and cleaned up the area. By noon, everything was already done and gone. The stump remained but was treated for easy future removal. I was super impressed because I considered it a really big tree for Brooklyn standards, but they made it look so easy. Phenomenal job! I highly recommend. Nothing beats a painless experience.

We paid them $7,000 -- a wildly overpriced amount -- but because they did a good job for us in 2022, we trusted them again. That trust was a huge mistake. It is now three months later and my yard is still in complete despair. The owner, Joe, specifically agreed to also remove the stump, and yet it still sits rotting in my backyard. Because of this, weeds have overtaken the space and my family hasn't been able to enjoy our backyard the entire summer. I have called, texted, and left voicemails multiple times. Joe occasionally responds just enough to string me along, then disappears to chase new projects and new customers' money, while completely ignoring the work I already paid him for. His behavior is unprofessional, dishonest, and absolutely disgraceful. At this point, I've contacted officials, and my attorney will be handling this matter moving forward. Save yourself the money, time, and stress -- this company will scam you, waste your summer, and leave your yard in worse condition than before.

We hired A&H Tree Service based on a neighbor's referral to remove a few branches from a large tree…read morein our yard. They did remove the branches--and maybe one more than expected--but overall, the work itself was fine, and they cleaned up the debris. That said, the customer experience left a lot to be desired. Communication was lacking throughout, except when they repeatedly followed up for the deposit. They didn't tell us in advance that our driveway and front street needed to be clear for their truck, so my partner had to rush home from work to move the car. After the job, no photos were shared, and when I asked about the price and 3% credit card fee, they pointed to the contract. Fair enough--but it would've been helpful if they had mentioned that upfront. I offered to send cash or a check to avoid the surcharge, but they said credit card is now the only accepted method. Between the lack of communication and inflexibility, I wouldn't recommend them based on customer service alone. Hopefully the residue left on our vinyl fence comes off with a hose.
