Just had another job done by Todd Woods. He is a very friendly, customer service oriented electrician who will give you an honest quote on his work and do a fine job of installation. I needed a light installed outside in my BBQ area (tired of BBQ'g by flashlight!). Problem was, there was no electrical source in sight! Recently had Todd replace the fluorescent light box from my kitchen. I had purchased a fixture I thought would be cool for the kitchen and Todd tactfully shared why my fixture, though it looked cool, would provide a lot less light. He said he'd install it if I'd like but suggested I go with recessed lighting cans. I'm really glad I took his advice!!! Todd installed some LED recessed cans and not only does it look way nicer than I had picked out he even installed a dimmer at no extra charge! We are expecting a baby later this year and a dimmer in that room is going to be a nice thing when holding a baby you're trying to make a bottle at 2am... Anyways, Todd was great and priced very, very fair. He showed up when he said he would and did a clean job. I'd recommend Todd for sure! read more

Needed a breaker fixed and these guys came to the rescue. The process didn't take very long and they did not seem shady or misleading in their work (obviously since my breaker is fixed and I have light again). They were even willing to help change a fire alarm battery with an 8 foot ladder for free. $80 is kind of steep for me but they did do a good job. Will consider again. read more

I needed some help with a simple electric job-switching out a GFI outlet. I had gone through the motions and switched the outlet out myself and nothing was working. I called Woods to have them come take a look. Got a call back a short time later on a Saturday. Explained the situation over the phone and he suggested I try and just reverse the wires and if that did not work to call him back for an appointment. It was that simple, the new outlet had the leads reversed and I did not realize it. Simple fix, but honest guy in giving me a little help on something simple and not just coming out and charging me for a service call on a 30 second job. If I do have any real electrical issues-these will be the first guys I will call just on that interaction alone. Thanks Woods! read more

Reached out to them a second time trying to be a loyal customer and met with a far different experience. After texting what was needed (updating a high voltage outlet and installing an electric car charger) he texted back that he would call later that afternoon to set up a time. He didn't call me back that day but did text back late afternoon the next day about coming first thing in the morning. I explained that I would be out of town on work that day but that literally any other day would work fine. I never heard back. Will be looking for a different electrician. read more

Woods Electric is honest, trustworthy and professional as you can get. I called them about our treadmill that kept causing the ARC switch to turn off within the electrical panel. We thought we would need to put in a dedicated outlet. The owner squeezed us into their schedule and came out in two days. The electrician first checked our electrical panel. He discovered the ARC switch was very hot, then saw burn marks on it and melted metal. That thing could have started a house fire, but because Woods Electric cared enough to come out so fast our home is safe. The ARC switch was removed and now the treadmill works fine! I recently used Woods Electric to do the 220 and 50 amp circuit breaker for a new spa. They also installed a GFI outlet and motion sensor light with a switch. It was in the mid-90s and my A/C unit was not coming on. It seemed to be an electrical problem. Based upon Yelp reviews, I called Todd the next morning. He said he'd swing by after he finished a job in Sacramento. Got here around 4:15 and he traced the problem to a bad breaker.
