Ive used Mr Fixit for 3 projects, EV charger install, panel upgrade and some fixture/outlet repairs. Last week he installed 4 family room lights and 4 high end speakers in the ceiling. The ceiling is vaulted, high and very little room above the drywall. He figured out a way to cable and wire everything, nice light switch positioning and speaker wire terminals on wall. He could easily have just told me I needed to replace the box, and I would have believed him. His motto is to treat his customers the way he'd like to be treated. Wow, what a complete scam. He has helped me on a variety of things at the house and most of them have been good...but the biggest scam...my ring door bell. He keeps coming out "fixing" it and it stops working a few days later. Comes out again, same thing. He doesn't stand behind his work, so he has been out over and over and keeps charging me. I'he has now charged me over $1000 just to get a ring door bell setup and it still doesn't work. Can't get a quote or reason why I can't be helped. Was just flat out told: "I am sorry, but I will not be able to help." Lovely customer service. Update: I'll go ahead and change my rating only because after the fact of giving a negative review, Mr. Fix It came back with an explanation. My advice would be is to just let your customer decide if your booking too far in advance for them, or that your prices are not what they are looking for. Communication goes a long way. Responses like that come off as selective and rude. It wasn't about getting my hopes up or being promised anything, it IS about taking the time to help potential customers. read more

Edward rocks. My husband contacted him through Yelp to get an estimate for running some electrical in our kitchen so we could install a garbage disposal. We figured we would have to get him to do the electrical, then pay a plumber to install the disposal. When he found out what we were asking for, he offered to do both, all in one visit. His communications were prompt and he was easy to work with. When he came for the site visit, it turned out there were a few extra things he would need to do that he didn't know about when he gave us the initial quote. He explained the differences, told us exactly what work he needed to do, and gave us options. We opted to have him come back and do the job the next day. He was knowledgeable, took the time to explain things to me and show me how things worked, and he was really patient with my very curious (cough cough annoying cough) dog. The job took him an hour less than he thought it would, and the work appears neat, purposeful, and clean. He took the time to "stress test" his work and gave me a heads up about a slow drain issue. Unfortunately, our kitchen drawer happened to break right around this Coronavirus outbreak so we haven't been able to find any handymen. My mom ran across Eduard and he said he'd charge $100 to come by and repair, but if we go to him, he'd only charge $25 and it would only take 30 mins-1 hour. He lived about 10-15 mins from us so we told him we'd be there by 12:30 and when we got there, we texted and called him multiple times and got no answer. We even rang his doorbell. We waited 30 mins and then left. 3 HOURS later he texts and says "shit. I got busy in garden. Very sorry." Wow! So damn unprofessional and unreliable. I had Edward (Mr Fix It) come over to wire my Quiet Cool QC-4700 whole house fan that I installed myself. I needed a wall switch timer and a fan speed switch hardwired to my fan. The switch was mounted on a wall on my second floor with the fan mounted way up in the attic. Everything went perfect and worked as expected when he was finished. He took the time to clean up after himself before he left. Also, he looked into my wall panel to fix my home alarm after Uverse somehow screwed it up last month when they did some work when I upgraded my service. We had Mr Fix It come add 4 recessed lights, replace 2, and add a ceiling fan to our upstairs loft and office. He was kind, professional, and gave us a quote on the spot. Edward mounted our TV with the wires hidden in the wall. He was great! Very nice and efficient, and cleaned up the area well when he was finished. He even helped me get my toddler's car icky,smelly car seat out of my car. She'd gotten sick on the way to daycare, and we had just gotten back when he showed up for the appt.
