I was excited to get the project started and contacted Lowes in Bedford, New Hampshire. I spoke to Alyssa Antoniak. She was a lovely young lady. I made arrangements to have a representative come to the camper to measure each window. His name was Mark. He came and measured and I picked out my blinds. I chose Bali Lamplight, an elegant look. I was so excited. The cost was $2,200. Alyssa placed my order and emailed a copy of the invoice to me. I noticed there was a charge of $275 for existing hardware removal. I personally took all hardware and screws out of each window. I called Alyssa to tell her all existing hardware was removed and to please credit my account. She was insistent that the charge was not for existing hardware removal despite it being a separate line item on the invoice indicating it was for hardware removal. Her advice was to go to Lowes to further discuss. My Dad was a Naval veteran. He unfortunately passed away in October after a courageous battle with cancer. I live upstairs from my parents. My Mom suggested I use his veterans benefit to save some money. Alyssa attempted to use it, but it was not recognized. Come to find out days later Lowes was experiencing technical difficulty. Instead of trying to rectify the problem, Alyssa told me to go to Lowes to discuss as there wasn't anything she could do. I started vacation on June 29th. I spent nine days at my camper. I came home on July 8th to find the vertical blinds were delivered to my home address in Massachusetts. I was beside myself with anger. It was 7 p.m. I called Alyssa and left a voicemail for her to call me immediately. I was very upset. I went through my email messages to see if she or Lowes emailed me with any updates. There were no messages. I sent Alyssa an email expressing my disappointment and frustration with my whole experience. I later found out my next door neighbor (female) carried all the blinds from the front of the house to the back of the house (down 10 steps each time) for fear they would get stolen. Chances are they would have if left put in the front. The next day I still hadn't heard from Alyssa so I sent another email with no response. The day after that I received an email from Cory Hill. Due to Cory's snarky response, I decided to take my business elsewhere and told him to arrange for the blinds to be picked up for return and provide me with a refund. He replied and indicated I would have to return them myself. I found that totally unacceptable. At that point I stopped communicating with him and contacted the Better Business Bureau for resolution. The blinds are being picked up tomorrow. I am disappointed I have to start this project over again, but I absolutely will not give Lowes my hard earned money after dealing with people who lack good customer service etiquette and snarky responses. I work in customer service. If I ever responded in this manner, I would be fired for sure. I will never step foot in Lowes ever again.

I thought I'd be fine with the lifetime warranty on their sofas. It turns out that there is a lifetime warranty on parts but you still pay for the service. The service charge is equal to the delivery charge which if me is like $250 being in Massachusetts. The store was happy to take my money during the sale but now they won't service me. I asked for some consideration from them and they gave me none. The more local lazboy dealer won't service me since they didn't sell the sofa. I'm stuck with an expensive piece of furniture that's not living up to expectations. Never again.

The Beloin tree farm has been in business since 1948. They have three locations in New Hampshire and we went to the one in Bedford. Usually picking out a Christmas tree is arduous because many times they're wrapped and lying on the ground. You have to pick them up, cut them loose, shake them out and then decide if you like it or not. Often going through dozens of trees before you find one that's suitable. When you arrive at Beloin, you immediately see that the trees are open and standing in stands. Every tree was gorgeous, thick and lush. The pine filled air smelled so good. This time, instead of trying to find one that we liked, we had to narrow it down from all of the gorgeous ones that we loved. Haha. Not a bad problem to have. They have plenty of help so once we picked a tree, they netted it, did a fresh slice, and loaded it in the back of our truck. I also have plenty of stock, so as soon as one is sold, they put another beautiful tree in its place. They also have gorgeous wreaths and bows. I had to pick one of those up as well.
