From start to finish I was so impressed with Linen and Shade Bin - I was asked to take a picture of my room, encouraged to take many samples home, given consulting on possibilities - after finally selecting a fabric, I provided my window measurements and placed my order - The owner was a little concerned with our measurements and came to our house to ensure we had the right measurements -he was right - we were wrong - bottom line he was a true partner throughout this whole process. I was recently looking for shades or blinds to cover double sliding doors in our family room. One of the consultants at the store suggested horizontal, textured shades that could be pulled out to a variety of positions and closed back to about 5 inches. He came out and measured for me, which saved me the worry of whether I was doing it correctly. The installation was timely and painless and we have been very pleased with the result. We now have privacy in the evenings and the blinds keep the cold from radiating off the glass into the room during the winter months. All in all it was a very positive experience. We recently had the pleasure of working with Perry. We wanted to add a retractable shade for the Skylight in our living room. He was extremely helpful, taking the time to understand what we were looking for, and worked with us to select several shade options, that would meet our needs. I had gone to Linen and Shade Bin first, then continued on to the box store to do comparison shopping for traverse rods. What a big mistake!! The box store had a cheaply made version of what I wanted. I went right back to Linen and Shade Bin. Not only did they have what I wanted at a reasonable price but the quality of the rod was far superior to the box store version. I know it will last as long as my old one! I purchased shutters for my bathroom and they are exactly what I wanted. The curtains I've ordered for two different rooms were perfect and I was able to have them installed. Last year I purchased a skylight room darkening shade. I got the best customer service experience that I have ever gotten. The owner took the time to help me figure out the best shade for my home and he even came to my house to make sure everything was measured and installed perfectly. I needed blinds for several hard to fit bay windows and french door. These people came out to my hours, did all the measuring and installation. Everything came out great with a minimum of effort on my part. I could have tried doing my own measuring and have a Home Depot type of place make them but this was better.
