I have an older camper and decided to remodel. I decided to purchase Bali vertical blinds for 13 windows. I was excited to get the project started and contacted Lowes in Bedford, New Hampshire. I spoke to Alyssa Antoniak. She was a lovely young lady. I made arrangements to have a representative come to the camper to measure each window. His name was Mark. He came and measured and I picked out my blinds. I chose Bali Lamplight, an elegant look. I was so excited. The cost was $2,200. Alyssa placed my order and emailed a copy of the invoice to me. I noticed there was a charge of $275 for existing hardware removal. I personally took all hardware and screws out of each window. I called Alyssa to tell her all existing hardware was removed and to please credit my account. She was insistent that the charge was not for existing hardware removal despite it being a separate line item on the invoice indicating it was for hardware removal. Her advice was to go to Lowes to further discuss. My Dad was a Naval veteran. He unfortunately passed away in October after a courageous battle with cancer. I live upstairs from my parents. My Mom suggested I use his veterans benefit to save some money. Alyssa attempted to use it, but it was not recognized. Come to find out days later Lowes was experiencing technical difficulty. Instead of trying to rectify the problem, Alyssa told me to go to Lowes to discuss as there wasn't anything she could do. I started vacation on June 29th. I spent nine days at my camper. I came home on July 8th to find the vertical blinds were delivered to my home address in Massachusetts. I was beside myself with anger. It was 7 p.m. I called Alyssa and left a voicemail for her to call me immediately. I was very upset. I went through my email messages to see if she or Lowes emailed me with any updates. There were no messages. I sent Alyssa an email expressing my disappointment and frustration with my whole experience. I later found out my next door neighbor (female) carried all the blinds from the front of the house to the back of the house (down 10 steps each time) for fear they would get stolen. Chances are they would have if left put in the front. The next day I still hadn't heard from Alyssa so I sent another email with no response. The day after that I received an email from Cory Hill. Due to Cory's snarky response, I decided to take my business elsewhere and told him to arrange for the blinds to be picked up for return and provide me with a refund. He replied and indicated I would have to return them myself. I found that totally unacceptable. At that point I stopped communicating with him and contacted the Better Business Bureau for resolution. The blinds are being picked up tomorrow. I am disappointed I have to start this project over again, but I absolutely will not give Lowes my hard earned money after dealing with people who lack good customer service etiquette and snarky responses. I work in customer service. If I ever responded in this manner, I would be fired for sure. I will never step foot in Lowes ever again. read more

I ordered a whole house generator from Lowes. It was supposed to arrive in September 2022 and installation was to occur in November of 2022. They sub-contracted out to Generator Power Solutions (GPS). The whole experience was a nightmare for the most part, as follows: 1) They lost my generator. It was shipped and arrived on time, but apparently the paperwork got lost or messed up, so the unit was sitting around idle. In the meantime, I call in late September 2022 following up and am told that I need to call GPS. I call them and they say they have no record of my generator arriving, call Lowes. Back and forth I go, neither part actually willing to pick up the phone and TALK TO EACH OTHER, instead bouncing me back and forth. Finally, I had to go down to the store and plead with the store manager to get on the phone with GPS and figure it out. They finally did. Frankly, Lowes should have been proactive. It should not have taken me to wonder what the hell was going on and have to call to find out where my generator was. 2) GPS was absolutely the worst for responding to anything. I would politely call in every other week to ask when installation would occur. They would promise to get back to me that week and, without fail, never did. Not once. I would have to call over and over again and finally I had to beg the Lowes district manager to do something to get this done. By now it was 2023 and I had already had to cut short a holiday vacation on Xmas Eve to fly home because the power was out. Finally, the Lowes district manager took pity on me in March of 2023 and got GPS to do the install. 3) The install was botched twice. First, they did the foundation poorly and had to come out and redo it. To GPS' credit, it was their supervisor who noticed this when inspecting the installation, but honestly, it should have been done correctly to begin with, but kudos to them for inspecting and noticing it. Second, they used the wrong insulation on the piping to the propane tank. The permit inspector noticed this and said it was amazing to him that they would use the wrong insulation, which could be unsafe. It had to be redone and the inspector had to come out again to ensure it was fixed. I fully blame Lowes for all of GPS' actions. Lowes is the one with whom I had the contract and Lowes is the one who hired them for the install. The way Lowes bounced me around, telling me to call GPS and deal with them as if it were my responsibility to baby sit their sub-contractors was beyond ridiculous. And losing my generator for 3 months was also not acceptable. I will never shop at Lowes again. I will never recommend them to anyone. I'm now a loyal Home Depot customer for life. read more

I came to exchange a propane bottle and paid for it. waited outside for someone to help for 30 minutes. went back in to ask for help again and waited another 20 minutes. I asked for a credit on my payment and left. Until finally at customer service when the lady was like " do you have your receipt..." I looked the lady in the eyes and was "good morning". After Thanksgiving 2024 my wife and I went to get some new Christmas lights. We purchased 3 LED rolls of lights. Before even putting them out I tested them and all were fine. At some point over the next few weeks, some of the lights stopped working. I first noticed on Christmas night as our guest were leaving. Disappointment for sure. I took the lights down this past Saturday (4th). Tested the lights again, checked all the lights for tightness. Took them back to Lowes. The young man at the return desk was polite and understanding when he told me that they were not returnable past Dec 24th. He was only relaying the company policy and was not going to get upset at him. I asked for a manager. The young lady why seemed annoyed that her personal conversation with co-workers was interrupted. I explained that the policy is a very stupid and unrealistic policy. Christmas lights go up before Christmas and normally come down around New Years. I could understand a deadline of Jan 15th, or something like that. Her reply was to point at the large printed policy on the wall and say if we make and exception for one, we have to for all. As this is the company policy, I don't blame the employees, but she needs to show some concern for the customer. I tried to find the managers email, but the site is not so friendly for people to find such info. No I didn't phone as I am at work during the day and can't dedicate time away from my customers. So email it, I can stop and restart as needed. Bottom line, the policy is very unrealistic and the so called manager at customer service should be removed from that position. read more

My husband and I ordered our Trex Decking at the Lowes located in Bedford, NH. That was our first mistake. If and when we ever receive all of our order, we are committed to NEVER ordering another special order thru Lowes. Our first delivery consisted of damaged boards, material that we did not order, and a shortage of what we did order. After many phone calls to Lowes Corporate, Lowes Bedford, and trips to the store in person, we were finally able to "correct" the order. We had to wait an additional 3 weeks for the 2nd delivery which was delivered yesterday and we are missing material. My husband sent an e-mail yesterday, no response from Lowes Bedford. We are currently on hold with Lowes Corporate and have been in contact via telephone with Lowes Bedford since 8:00 AM who cannot locate the missing material. We are shaking our heads asking each other "what has happened to Lowes?" The irony in this is that we are located less than a mile from Home Depot in Londonderry who had called us after we had placed our order with Lowes offering to match their price. By leaving this review we are hoping to prevent other consumers from living what we refer to as our Lowes nightmare. UPDATE - After spending at least 3 hours on hold and speaking with Lowes Corporate and the Manager at the Lowes located in Bedford, NH yesterday, we were promised that the missing material for our deck would be delivered today. We were to go Northern NH today for business but stayed home for the delivery. ONCE AGAIN, we did NOT receive the material which we ordered. We are currently awaiting return calls from Lowes Corporate and Lowes Bedford. The level of incompetency displayed by Lowes Bedford is unmatched by any other business that we have dealt with while remodeling our home of 40 years and 3 complete remodels. went to Lowe's on 6/12/21 with the intent of purchasing a Husqvarna riding mower. Unfortunately, this location was sold out. I asked an associate when they might get more and was told they did not know. I then asked if it would be possible to order the model i wanted for home delivery. The associate looked up the model and said, no, but they were getting a truck next week and to check back. When i got home i decided to try and look up the model on your website, the same web site your associate used and found i could order it for home delivery. This was a $2200 purchase i was willing to make and neither of the associates i spoke to put any effort into helping me. This seems to be the case every time i go to these big box stores. Staff with no will to make a sale and a general lack of knowledge. And these companies wonder why Amazon is so mopopular? read more

This store does not care about the well being of their customers. I purchased a refrigerator at this store, which included lowe's delivery. The delivery people showed blatant disregard for the safety of their customer when they showed up. In the middle of the serious COVID-19 pandemic, both delivery people (neither one of whom could speak comprehensible english) came inside my house, WITHOUT masks on and clearly showing symptoms associated with COVID-19 (runny nose and coughing). Neither one of them was socially distancing and showed complete disregard of the safety regulations outlined by the CDC. As a result, they have now possibly exposed me and my family (which includes elderly people) to COVID-19. We are getting tested soon and will be suing this business if we test positive. read more

If I could give a zero this review would receive a zero. I purchased a fridge on a Thursday and was scheduled for delivery on Sunday. Sunday came and the fridge was damaged. The driver told me the warehouse would contact me about another delivery. No call came. I called the store on Monday and was given the service dept. The service emp. called the warehouse which never answered. We waited 45 minutes and finally gave up. I was told the warehouse would call by 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. What a surprise. NO CALL CAME. I was so fed up with waiting on hold and no resolution to this problem that I went to the store to cancel my purchase. The girl at the desk told me that I WOULD HAVE TO CALL THE SERVICE NUMBER AND A MANAGER WOULD HAVE TO APPROVE MY CREDIT!!! WHAT?!?!? After this rant, I am calling my credit card company and asking that they credit the account. Enough is enough. I'm totally disappointed in their lack of customer service. I have been going to Lowes for those needed home improvement items since they opened here in bedford about 7 years ago. I have always had a great experience . The staff is always friendly , available and informed on the items in there area. I have been to other Lowes in the area and I can say this store is very neat and clean when compared. It is also stocked well. They have a large outdoor area for all your summer gardening or landscaping needs. With a great selection of plants both perennials and annuals. For whatever needs you may have from Lowes this store is worth the trip! Happy House improvement! read more

An awful experience with Lowes in Bedford NH. Tried for an hour and a half to buy a gas grill. One employee tried to help us but ended up looking for the wrong product. Another employee was rude and completely ignored me, he saw me but chose three times to walk away. Finally gave up and ordered online. Next day my order was canceled. Waited 45 minutes on hold to find out that the grill was no longer available for shipping. No email or notification from them that my order was canceled, I found out because I checked my order. I tried calling the Bedford store to try again to make arrangements to buy it from them, 4 times I waited on hold for 10 minutes for my call to be hung up on. Walked into another store (not Lowes) and had purchased a grill and was on my way in less then 20 minutes. Please do not give your business to Lowes. read more

Bought a brand new washer and dryer. After 3 weeks, the washer flooded our basement. Hoses are all intact. No visible leaks from connections - looks like leak is coming from under unit. Called to have unit serviced. Will take over 2 weeks to have someone come out and look at the washer. Who knows how long after that I'll get the matter resolved?! We bought the extended warranty plan, but if there is nobody available to come out and look at the washer, what good is it!! This is unacceptable. I am so disappointed with this service. I bought about 14 samples of Benjamin Moore paint online from the Bedford store. I was on deadline to pick paint color's for my kitchen, living room and bedrooms by my contractor. I paid $15.00 extra for same day delivery for the next day. Paint samples was suppose to come on the 8th, someone from the paint department called me in the morning and I was told they were having a problem with their system with pickup deliveries. So I was patient and called back later that day, waited for 1 hour on the phone to speak to someone. I was told the samples were ready for pickup but still no delivery. So called again about 3 hours later. This time on hold for 1 1/2 until someone finally answered the phone. I was told that they were probably going to be picked up and delivered by the end of the day. Still no paint delivery that day. I called today the 9th and asked them where my order is. They said they are waiting for someone to pick up the order. Manager got on phone and I was told that they have no control over the pickup of delivery items. So at this time I still have no paint. Why offer same day delivery service when they don't follow thru. Offer one of your store employee's the $15.00 to deliver the products. I can understand if it's a big item, but these are small paint samples. Home Depot does better on their same day delivery service. I never had a problem with them. Will never do business with Lowe's anymore. read more

I wanted to purchase an over the range microwave, gas stove & dishwasher. I walk with a cane due to a car accident and instead of helping me bring my cut shelves to the front, he brought me a flatbed cart and said "have a nice day!" After I'd limped all the way back to the front of the store, lugging a flatbed with my cane and pocketbook hanging from it, I left the shelves and walked out. read more

This store feels so so dead. I have been coming here for years because it is so easy to get in and out of. If you are a dink that doesn't like people asking if you need any help don't come here because i feel like you will be asked at least 3 times because of how slow they are. I have never had any issue getting a close parking spot, getting what i need and checking out within 3 minutes of reaching the registers. Lowes is not my favorite store for sure. I give one star for the one guy who was helpful. I ask a teenager "where are the kickplates." He says all those are wood you got to go to the wood section. I said no, they are brass it's for the outside of my door they are not wood. I said can we speak to somebody else? He says they are wood. Not in the mood that day so I stand my ground.He says okay. We find the experienced guy knows right away where they are. Then we look for screws they don't have the right size they don't have the right color tells me I can buy the silver ones and get a can of spray paint. I say no I'll just go to Home Depot. I bought a Generac generator from Lowes and needed to have it serviced. The corporate office was quick to tell me the procedure for returning it and what I could expect in terms of service. Unfortunately nothing worked the way it was supposed to. Lowes has had my generator since 10/14 and to date no one can tell me what the status is. I think they might have lost it. The store people don't have any knowledge about the return process and are clueless when you ask questions. After having our yard fenced with Vinyl fencing, we went through so many issues it ended up getting deeply discounted-we had to end up hiring a private fencer to do the job because their contractor never contacted us and would not return numerous phone calls. My husband and I asked an employee named Matt to help us cut a piece of wood for us and Matt says " You have to wait in line, there's 5 people ahead of you" so my husband says " Ok, wheres the line??" and Matt says " There is no line, we will get to you when we feel like it." The customer service from this store is awful. Only to, perhaps, only slightly better than the flooring company they use for installations. DO NOT buy vinyl flooring from Lowes in New Hampshire!! They use a company called East Coast Flooring for their installations and they are HORRIBLE!!! I have a kitchen floor that has air bubbles under the sheet goods, through out the floor. The remedy the installing company is recommending is to attempt to peel back the flooring, reapply adhesive and stick it back. This problem has not been fixed in 8 months. Lowes does nothing, East Coast Flooring does nothing. Don't get taken!! read more
